It's almost like 50 years of tax cuts, wage stagnation and praise of corporations has fucked the planet. 1945-1973 productivity and wages moved nearly in lockstep. Taxes on corporations and the wealthy paid for the services of the majority (whom the wealthy need to earn them money). High corporate taxes encouraged reinvestment into the corporation (basic research, training, pensions, wages). Stock buybacks to artificially inflate valuations and enrich shareholders (top executives) were illegal.
It's almost like we had a system that worked pretty fucking well and then a bunch of opportunistic charlatans convinced a whole lot of people that rich people and corporations having lower taxes would somehow benefit those who would have to shoulder the burden of that gift.

We need to have more Doctors to help on Emergency patients. One of the reasons, that we have to wait longer is because most of the Hospitals have a single Dr.to treat an enormous number of patients. As I can see, we have a lot of unempowerd nurses to diagnose patient's of a minor nature. In my opinion, nurses should be empowered and trained to diagnose minor emergency situation Instead of waiting for a minimally present doctors. It's crazy to wait for more than 12 hours in triage to get treatment. Honestly, this shouldn't happen in a developed nation like Canada.

In Calgary there are many private practices that accommodate walk in care. I've had terrible experiences in Vancouver and the exact opposite in Alberta. What's the difference? The ideology on the Left coast that stiffles innovation and panders to the unions. I have a good friend in Vancouver who is a nurse. She quit her "full time" job at one of the hospitals and works "part-time" on call. She's consistently able to book three twelve hour shifts a week, with 30% of her time paid as OVERTIME. The incompetent people running Department of Health are negotiating contracts that burn our tax dollars.
