"A Rite of Passage" from Dream Theater's "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" album (2009).
Pretty damn challenging! Everything went kind of okay until that instrumental breakdown happened. I kept messing up until I decided to just cut the song in half. Film the first half, film the other half. It's kind of difficult to play if you learned it the day before.
Anyway, pretty interesting tuning. I don't think I've ever played in ADADG, but it's interesting to say the least. So we start off with a very weird combination of effects. Chorus, reverb and fuzz/distortion. It does sound very cool in my opinion though. I'm not a big fan of effects, but it's quite the combination. Now, the effect 0:45 at is most likely a bass synth with some sort of treble booster option. I don't have a synth pedal, so I had to improve a bit. I know it sounds quite harsh, but so does the original effect.
Some important information that nobody is going to read.
