@@fredsalter1915 I agree that BM was flustered, but it wasn't LP. It was Brian's inability to play interactively with another guitarist. As great as BM is, he isn't Eric Clapton or Jeff Beck, who were masterful.

Brian was having a very special moment at the time (he says at the beginning of this video that he was pretty busy but he couldn't miss the chance of playing with Les Paul), this was late March '91 and Made In Heaven was recorded between January and June 1991 in Montreux.
Queen members already knew that Freddie had AIDS so they were living in the studio and Freddie would call them when he was feeling well enough saying he would be there for a couple of hours to record some voices. Yet Brian May was kind enough to go to play with Les Paul. Freddie dies in November the same year.

He plays with these absolute rockstars and probably sees most as just "These kids that can play" considering most of them lifestyles but Brian May is the first to show up with such a gentleman swagger. He's not trying to be cool or hip, just genuine up there and the vibe is so different. Les seems to be in such a better mood, more enjoyable instead of showing off. Brian may is so underrated. I can watch, check that, I have been watching Les Paul videos for 7 hours now... my face hurts from smiling.. when he speaks, it’s an absolute joy! When he plays, same... what a legend!!! I’m bummed I wasn’t more musically savvy when he was alive... Although, I feel like that with so many musicians. Jerry Garcia, Frank Zappa, Johnny Cash, JERRY REED!! Omg, to have seen Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins live, man, bums me out... and I was alive and capable when they were out there... and this video, so amazing... out of all these I watch, they have a commonality, all these great guitarist are nervous af to be on stage with Les, understandably so... what a legend!
