Couldn’t tell the brand of vanilla you used Miss Tammy, but Molina brand is very good and while not a true extract it is made with Mexican vanilla and gives a very good vanilla flavor.
Sams Club has 32 Oz bottles for around 6 dollars each and I’ll be giving them away for Christmas this year.

My mom use to make this. She always added a lemon or vanilla powdered sugar topping to hers. It was delicious.

Hi Tammy & Chris! Nothing beats an old fashioned pound cske! Great all by itself although during the summer months my crew particularly enjoys warming or toasting slices on the grill and serving it with grilled peach or nectarine halves along with a scoop or two of ice cream. That looks delicious Tammy, I use an angel food cake pan when recipes call for a 12 cup bunt pan not as pretty but works great. Some times I use bread pans so I can eat 1, freeze one or gift it. Your directions need to be commended you don’t miss a mark, no one should fail with your directions.

Hey replay That’s one more tall cake! 😮 I guess you could use a regular pound cake pan. Wouldn’t be as pretty, I don’t guess, without the pretty lines/decor that there is using a Bundt. Really pretty!
