So I agree with most of what you shared however, as an owner of the monogram PM while I had to get a replacement of my original PM 3 years after my original purchase it was replaced for free. My replacement monogram PM has been perfect, the strap and canvas are super soft and pliable, my original strap was horrendous. I guess I'm saying that since LV seems to have figured out the production of the bag without major defects it's a win for me. Also, I recently purchased the Coach Cassie in black so I feel like I now have the best of both worlds.

But at the end, I believe I chose the best choice for me. The canvas is definitely still gorgeous and if I had extra money lying around I would definitely add that-maybe the reverse haha! And definitely agree, I have no regrets with the empreinte. My hair has a mind of its own, I should really learn how to style it haha! But thank you! Hope you’re fully stocked and stay safe. It's not weird. Easy to understand. They use different inside layer to support the outside. Empreint leather is softer needs a strong layer for keeping the bag shape.
I have the Reverse Canvas and Empriente in Marine/Rouge... I use the Empriente about 2 times as often as the Reverse Canvas... Love them both for different reasons. My next will be the Empriente in Noir unless LV does the Classic Monogram in a World Tour version... then the choice is much more difficult...

Since covid, the LV website has been littered with this monogram bag. LV is no longer playing and manipulating with the stock of this bag anymore. Lv need to sell them since their company’s stock market value has plummeted dramatically and they are haemorrhaging money! The monogram Pochette metis are now in stock 24-7.

I think some people are just butt hurt by the fact that they spent $5,000 on a handbag and anyone can get HIDUPZ that looks identical for a few hundred bucks or less. Once the stores reopen, I’m returning my monogram due to glazing issues. I’ve had mine since 2013 and have used it a handful of times.
You can return to the store after having it for 7 years?

Canvas needs to be used or it dries up sadly. The oils on our hands keep the glaze more supple.

I think some people are just butt hurt by the fact that they spent $5,000 on a handbag and anyone can get HIDUPZ that looks identical for a few hundred bucks or less. Stop worrying about stuff that doesn’t matter.
PM is far from unicorn status. Unicorn is something rare, like a limited edition or seasonal color combination, that was produced in limited quantities. PM is so saturated, every influencer has one, and they keep making it now for several years.
