    A four seasons trailer is one that insulation to protect the water works of the trailer to a certain low cold weather temperatures specific for that trailer.
    Our third day in our Casita was at the Grand Canyon. Mid march, I did not realize the elevation of the Grand Canyon being around 8000 feet. We woke up that morning with a coat of snow and 18 degrees. Well nothing froze up an the furnace did great.

    I’ve owned my Casita for almost four years. Absolutely love it . Bought it just before the multiple price increases. Before all the pandemic newbie rush . Have had zero issues with it . Have like 20 thousand miles on it ! Love camping at SP ! Thanks for sharing! 👍😁

    I attended a RV show in my local area. This gave me the opportunity to look at the various fiberglass trailers. I knew I wanted a single axel, and a trailer 18ft. or less.
    I knew that I was going to buy a used unit. I waited until the mad rush for trailers was done, at the tail end of covid.
    I looked at Oliver's, Scamp's, Casita's, and Airstream Nest's. I decided on the Nest 16U.
    One of the most important things I did was to collect as much information that I could concerning travel trailer depreciation schedules.
    With the information in hand, I began the hunt. It took me about five months to make the purchase.

    Nice review, thank you. We too are learning to operate in our 2023 Casita Freedom Deluxe. We had a Class C and I was so nervous driving that big thing, the Casita is a lot more relaxing and within my driving abilities. The width makes the biggest drivability difference for me. Most of our camping thus far has been cold weather so I understand your comments. I think one of the best things Casita could do to improve the cold factor is better windows (drafty). In my opinion the carpet does make it feel more cozy. You asked what your audience wants to see... I think may people who buy a Casita are new to camping and perhaps not mechanically inclined so showing how to set up, and take down a campsite is helpful as is Casita specific towing tips. And hopefully you can teach me how to back this crazy ting ; )

      Hi! Thank you for your suggestions! One thing we do love about the Casita is it is narrower then your average trailer. It does make it an easy tow. I agree about the windows. I do feel by having the shades vs the blinds that helps block some of that cold air. I really appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment. Safe travels!

      I agree, the windows are one of the weak links of the Casita, they really should consider better alternatives.

    We’ve had my Casita for 17 years and been across the continent several times. We do camp with it in the Canadian winters just fine however we do not use the plumbing. I use the trailers heater or a small space heater (when we have shore power) and have a warm sleeping bag for at night. It’s been a solid little trailer.

    I live near the location where Casita is built. Once you figure out your exact wants, it is my understanding you can get made to your specs (like no bathroom) but I don't know. As to 4 seasons, in East Texas, we camp year-round. But we have minimal below-freezing. I'm confused about "fiberglass". We have a 38 ft 5th wheel. It is fiberglass, and it is a huge diff from those that are metal.

    Customer service in terms of sales and pre-purchase was fantastic, it was actually some of the best I have ever experienced in any of my purchases in recent years. Any time I had a question, request or asked for pictures they were Johnny on the spot. In terms of the delivery day walk-through and post purchase customer service they left a lot to be desired. I made a rather detailed post about my grievances in this regard over on the Casita subreddit but there were quite a few. All of that said, we are extremely happy with our purchase and I have no regrets. We hope to upgrade to an Oliver one day but for now we could't be more thrilled with our Casita.
    And we don't poop in our Casita either. I haven't showered in ours at this point, but I reserve the option to do so for winter camping. I have used the outdoor shower a time or two and plan to do so some more this summer. In my eyes the indoor shower and toilet aside from peeing is for last alternative scenarios.

      @ItsaKarifulLife  Před 3 měsíci +1

    We bought out Liberty Deluxe new in 2018. Our floor plan is almost identical to yours and so glad for the various bed setup possibilities. I’m kinda agreeing with you about the bathroom, I’m not so sure we utilize it enough versus having the bench at the end. I think if we had just a Trelino toilet, our needs would be met.

    My wife and I are looking at two options for our first camper. A Casita Independence Deluxe or a Snoozy 2 Twin bed. We have contacted both companies and Casita got back with us almost immediately and provided two Casita owners we can contact to go and see their campers. Snoozy…..three contact attempts and no response at all. We like the Snoozy 2 for the simple reason the door is in the back instead of on the side. Cons to the Snoozy….no propane or solar options. It can definitely be done but when you look at the Casita those options can be purchased. If Snoozy does not contact in the next week I think we will go with the Casita.

    Thank you for your honest review. I've been looking at Casita travel trailers for a while. My concern is that the Casita facility is over 1,000 miles away from where I live. How would I get it serviced? Does Casita have a network of repair shops?

  • @valhere3950
    @valhere3950 Před 3 měsíci

    I've had my Casita since Jan 2019 & I love it so much. I got the Liberty Deluxe model which is probably the model you should have bought... it's exactly like the Independence except a much wider aisle. I opted for no propane heater since I live in Florida & have the entire area under the sink for storage & a place to put our little trash can. The bathroom works for us but like you we don't poop in it. However we do use the sink for handwashing & teeth brushing. I have showered in it a few times but prefer to set up an outdoor shower tent next to the outdoor shower faucet. The only things I have not liked are # 1 the very loud air conditioner. It's just too loud but that's not Casita's fault. I've only found 1 brand A/C that's quiet - Houghton - & it's very expensive. All other RV A/C brands are loud. The 2nd thing I don't like is that after a while of traveling you may discover that the plumbing connections under the kitchen sink & the plumbing connections that lead to the outdoor shower come a bit loose & start leaking. So now the 1st thing I do at camp after we get set up is check those connections after running some water. I also check it the next day to make sure there's no leaking. Enjoy your Casita. And have fun at those rallys. I love touring other Casitas to see what they've done to personalize theirs.

      Thanks so much for this information! We have talked about getting a shower tent for the outdoor shower. I’m pretty tall so the bathroom shower is a challenge. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. Happy camping! 😃

    What were the reasons the twin bed configuration didn’t work for you? I had been thinking of that configuration and now I’m second guessing it. I’m short but by no means thin and my husband is thin but 6’4”

    • @ItsaKarifulLife
      @ItsaKarifulLife  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Hi! Thanks for the question. I can honestly say that we tried the twin setup for 1 camping trip. My husband is 6’2” and I am 5’11”. The length and width are totally fine in the twin setup. I just found I like sleeping next to him. The downside is I have to climb over him if I get up to go the bathroom. That was the major reason we got the twin setup was to avoid that… yet here we are 🙄 I do wish I would have tried it longer but the upside is we can always change it back. 🥳

    Thanks for your guys thoughts on why or why nots.. As I approuch retirement, Im looking at Casitas or Cortes, I just can see paying another 15-17k for something I'm just camping in.. However, I love the idea of Timberen Axles, 8cui fridge, Artic Turn Windows and no carpet on the walls.. And as unfair to a company that only been in existence for four years with no exposure except corporate jockies pulling them around. Casita has a long rapport with real people and a 40yr longevity. I just need to see one in person too! Anyways,
    Thank you for your folks review and other videos...

    • @ItsaKarifulLife
      @ItsaKarifulLife  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi! Thanks for watching 😀 the coldest night got down to 28 degrees and the heater did a great job. The Cortes is a nice trailer but very expensive. The carpet on the walls does not even phase me anymore. Contact Casita and they will give you a person in your area that has agreed to show their trailer. Best of luck!
