I watched a program about how they met skating, fell in love, married, etc. I sobbed watching how they grew up together. I feel so sorry for her just heartwrenching. She will always love Sergei & their daughter (Daria) looks just like him.
Yes,you could tell she was bracing for the question about Sergei. I still tear up when I think about him dying so young and her,she was only 23/24 years old at the time. He will always be in her heart,plus she has Daria,who has her father's sweet,crooked smile. R.I.P. Sergei.
I just love Katia Gordeeva. She is so down to earth and gracious. Never did she get "too big for her britches". You can see what a beautiful person she is. Best of luck to her always...

What a beautiful woman Katia is...I have so much admiration for her! She's come through a great deal of adversity in her life with grace and dignity. We all know and love her as half of Gordeeva and Grinkov and she and Sergei will remain in our hearts forever, but I am so pleased to hear her speak of her family in the present...I wish her and Ilia and Daria and Leeza nothing but the best of love and happiness in their futures. Thank you so much for sharing this video. :)

You can see the sadness in her eyes as soon as the interviewer mentions Sergei.

That was very unnecessary for that interviewer to mention Sergei!!!! Even tho Katia moved on I believe in the back of her mind, heart and soul that Sergei will remain her true love till the day she dies
wow, her daughter Daria is already 18... Katia looks great and has grown both as a person and a skater...
Thanks for conducting such a relaxed interview with well-informed questions! She seemed a lot more comfortable here than in a lot of other interviews I've seen. Just wish the interview was longer! :)
She is so poised in interviews and of course a great figure skater.
I saw her skate with Stars on Ice in 2005, my last time. The first time I saw her skate was the February before Sergei passed away.
People need not give her hell for skating so much. I'm guessing that's where she feels sergei with her the most. The ice is her stairway to heaven.... people need to not be pissy.
This made me smile :) I agree with marysy, this was a nice relaxed interview more like a friendly conversation. I love Katia, I'm so glad to see her happy :)

After having been through so much she still has such a nice manner. Some would be jaded and hate the world if they lost a love like this, not to mention EVERYTHING else with the exception of her daughter. She has held it together through INTENSE pressure and skated alone when she was already reeling from loss - guts, beauty and grace. The epitome of a role model. Hopefully the haters will stop posting negativity - she is a true champion and I have never seen such love as theirs.

I am not sure if you ever have a 'once-in-a-lifetime' love, twice. I hope for her sake that you can because there is so much life to live after your early 20's. I want them to be truly happy. Katia is a dainty soul, with the strength of lion.

I'd rather she go a bit darker if she wants blonde hair. Prefer the brunette, but hey. We all want change. Lord knows I've had color that didn't suit me. She looks like she has more makeup on than usual which would contribute to the comments that she doesn't look her best here. She doesn't need makeup, IMO. At all. Very, very beautiful woman!
Please leave your eyebrows natural. I know a lot of Russian women pluck. You don't need to. Natural beauty😊

@208327650 It's possible, but I don't see a huge difference in her nose, although nose jobs can definitely age people. I think her hair has been bleached to the point of drying it out and it has an aging effect. It was devastating what happened to Sergei but it would have been unhealthy for her and Daria to stay in the past. Good for her finding new love and now Daria has a little sister.
I think a trip to a good salon for a makeover would work wonders!

@208327650 I think it's her hair that's aging her, she should have stayed with her brown hair, it looked healthier and younger. She's probably so busy raising her kids and working that she doesn't have time to go to a good salon and really pamper herself. I'm also extremely glad she moved on with her life with IK.
Love her...not a fan of the blond hair. Looks washed out. Needs to be dirty blond. But she still is the best !!!!!

IMHO, it is not so much her bleached hair, which looks really unhealthy though, as it is her eyes and brows that add to her looking aged and/or tired most of the time. Something has happened to her previously gorgeous brows plus the eyes are smaller and do not have a sparkle anymore. Also too much skin around the eyes, may be due to lots of crying who knows... She looks both young being in a great shape and old because of her face.

The super frosted blonde hair tends to age. I don’t why she changed from the brown to blonde? She looks much better her natural hair color. Interview doesn’t seem natural. Quite forced.
Trator, you went back on your word that you would never even think of being with anyone after Sergei's passing let alone remarry again.
No she said that she'll never skate in pairs again with someone else,she is now a single skater who SOMETIMES skates in pair,she didnt re debut as a pair skater with someone else
And only bc she married someone else doesnt mean that she forgot abr Sergei or stopped loving him, she was alone with a daughter to raise she had to find happiness for her daughter, Sergei and herself, how do u think she could have managed all of that pain while being alone?

Bizarre to call someone a traitor because they found love again.
I'm sure Sergei would have wanted her to be happy, because he loved her. Would he have been happier had she stopped smiling or hoping or living? Would Sergei have rejoiced had she committed sati?
There is no doubt in my mind that she'd have given anything for Sergei to have lived to be an old man and for them to have celebrated their 75th anniversary together...
But, that was not what life had planned for them.
And so, like so many of us who have loved and lost, we go on. We make the best of life, even though a part of our heart always remains behind with our lost loved one.
You shouldn't judge her.
Who knows, the same fate might await you.
