- Reaction video time and we're checking out another one of the "DragonBall Z Abridged" movies. You guys told us we needed to watch "The World's Strongest", so here it is.
I really enjoy these movies! The writing is as hilarious as ever, and they're a fun, quick breakaway into a separate story from the series... My thumbs still REALLY hurt, though! :-D

In case you were curious, the Abridged series changed several details of the actual film, that being
1) The ice area at the start has ice so legendarily hard and dense that even Piccolo can't blast though it (which is what he was doing up there: training, not trying to build a castle). That's why they needed the dragon to melt it.
2) Dr. Willow/Wheelo in the movie is a classical evil villain who wants to rule the world with his brain and world's strongest body. At the end he is blasted into orbit, attempts to blow up the Earth, and Goku Spirit Bombs him to oblivion. They actually animated a WHOLE NEW ENDING for this thing.
3) Yamcha does not show up at the ice area: that was added as part of the joke for the 'Bio-Men' so resembling Saibamen.
4) The "Piccolo contacts Gohan telepathically' joke in the movie was a brief musical bit where Gohan sings over an imagination sequence how much he admires Piccolo.
5) The Bio-Warriors are generically evil and hence there is no pathos in their deaths.
6) In the movie Krillian actually flees from Kougin as he fires the machine gun, ultimately hiding behind Bulma's capsule so the shield blocks the shots (that's why when you next see him he's over there). The abridged version basically goes "Krillian got shot a bunch as a kid for jokes and was never harmed, so bullets shouldn't do anything to him."
7) Koujin is actually a robot, hence the gatling gun arm. This is fully revealed after he falls, when Wheelo/Willow powers up his main generator and the residual energy fully fries Koujin. That scene was removed completely.
8 ) And Oolong's wish *was* for panties and he was forced to cook dinner for losing the radar and failed at it. He was not wishing to rule the world with a Swime-Reich army and he was certainly not helping Roshi cook Pot-Brownies.
9.) It actually took longer for Goku to break free from the confines of his chains and the "Excuse you, ____ would like to talk." bit was actually Gohan getting more and more angry over these people corrupting Piccolo and tormenting his dad and Koujin was mocking him the entire time.
"Why don't you go and sit on your mommy's lap for a while, ya' baby!"
All the while Wheelo realized how powerful he [Gohan] was and told him [Koujin] to stop
10.) Goku went to go and save the gang because he cared about them, not because he was the world's strongest. Gohan later ran away from home to go and help them while Chi-Chi was unhappy because she doesn't like Piccolo.

To be fair for number 6, Krillin really shouldn't be effected by bullets tbh, at least not at this point in the series. Because despite him being shot a bunch by Launch, one could assume she was using rubber bullets. However at the very start of Dragon Ball Bulma shoots Goku in the face, and then is startled that he's not only alive, but barely even wounded. This tells me that Bulma at the very least was certainly using a real bullet when shooting Goku (also because she's on a quest she knows can be dangerous) and both he and Krillin have gotten significantly stronger since Goku was that young as they both hadn't even been trained by Roshi yet. So it always confused me when he ran from them in the movie
Fun fact, a number of the main cast started off as a bad guy at first:
Oolong (the pig) is a shapeshifter who pretended to be a demon and kidnapped women in a village
Yamcha was a desert bandit who originally tried to rob goku and bulma of their money and capsules(he also had a fear of women)
Tien and Chiaotzu were students of Roshi's Nemisis and at one time ruthless warriors who were on par with goku (tien technically defeated goku once)
Piccolo is the reincarnation of his father who is the evil half of Kami. As King Piccolo, he successfully took over the world at one point, and was responsible for the death of most of the world's Martial artists, including Roshi, Chiaotzu and Krillin.
If Goku got rid of everyone who tried to kill him, he'd have no friends.

he trained yamcha together with Tien and Chiaotzu Krillin and Goku (also Goku's "grandpa" gohan and ox king too) were his main students

Just so you guys know, that ending was a new thing added by TFS. It was not in the original movie. Also, the guy talking at the end was not Jeice from the Ginyu Force, he's the voice of Goku and Gohan...yeah. That's him.

Oolong saying he'll "wish for panties" is a reference to Dragonball, where he 'saved the world from an emperor by using the wish for himself for a pair of panties'...

the last part (from when Gohan goes up into space to the end) may have looked odd it's because TFS had to create those scenes themselves
I know this video is old and maybe you guys know now, but the guy at the end who spazkid says is "one of the ginyu force guys, the red one" is actually just Goku's voice actor talking in his normal voice. The red ginyu force member is someone else.

This is the second Dragon Ball Z movie ever made. Like Dead Zone, the people who now compose Team Four Star (plus some others), prior to TFS's formation, made a parody of this movie. They later made TFS and started doing the series. Their first movie project was Christmas Tree of Might. Relatively recently, they decided to go back and do Dead Zone and this movie as official TFS projects. So, this is actually their most recent movie, despite it being one of the older DBZ movies. Also like the other Dragon Ball Z movies, it doesn't exactly fit into the canon (Goku is on earth and can only go as high as the Kaioken, but Piccolo isn't dead; the only time when this happened was during the few hours he was fighting Nappa and Vegeta, leaving no time for this film to happen), but it follows a rough status quo of being at the end of the Saiyan Saga.
And yes, they _actually tried to get away with recycling the Saibamen design_ for the Biomen.
Obviously, in the original, Dr. Wheelo was evil and Goku did kill him with the Spirit Bomb. That last scene (and Gohan in space) were made up by TFS. Top notch editing, those guys.

I was half hopping/expecting that blue door to turn brown based on the noises he was making.
You may notice a jump in quality here. This movie abridge was made way after the episodes you been watching. it would make sense if it's much different now.

Dragon Ball is about 40 years old at this point. To think there are still people with little to no knowledge of the various series just baffles me.
