Here's a fantastic rare hour-long documentary following Blur's travels to Iceland, Faroe Islands and Greenland in late 1997.
Daring to take the tour where most other bands and record companies ignore, this includes some great interviews, soundcheck footage as well as live tracks from the shows themselves.

Mellow Song at the beginning...I've always loved the song and it's one of my favourites from 13, but that early version is just...hypnotic. Hauntingly hypnotic, man. Wish there was a clear full demo of it somewhere so bad

Wow! I had no idea this existed. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Besides the fact that Blur has been one of my favorite bands for over twenty years, I was born in Reykjavik, which makes this video extra special for me. I've lived most my life in the US, only going to Iceland to visit family and that was mostly when I was younger. I knew they recorded there and Damon owns a pub in Reykjavik but it's great to be able to see them there. Thank you so much!!

I’m from Iceland and I wasn’t even born back then :(( wish that I was a teen in the 90s so that I could have seen them! It would have been so fantastic! Really want to go to a concert with them :)
I wish I was born in the 70s or 80s so I could experience Blur from their debut through to their breakup as a teenager/young adult and fully immerse myself in their most active years.
@@k-leb4671 Totally agree with you! That would have been such an epic journey. You can clearly tell how much their music has changed over the years and how experimental they are, I really like it.
My mom was a teen then. She once even met damon herself when living in Iceland. So I guess it must have been amazing

Coxon more or less admits he was an insufferable prick around this time and shortly after. And they did fire him in 2002, so these behaviours do have consequences, as they should.
