Nice job 👍
Yes, the super rare Pasha fabric, that's been in 17 of the 24 eighties Porsches that I've owned
Love the work that is done, but missing some critical side notes here.
When upgrading the brakes on a car, you will increase the load through the suspension. Make sure the suspension can handle this additional load!
Secondly, moving from one piston callipers to 3 piston callipers drastically increases the amount of fluid that needs to be pumped. Therefore you must also change the brake booster and/or brake master cylinder.
wouldn’t be necessary I reckon due to the caliper being a lot lighter due to being aluminium, makes up the difference from the heavier discs
@@dhd7327 but it doesn’t make the car that much lighter, so you will be stopping the same amount of mass in a shorter timeframe thus increasing the load….
You dont need to change the m/c size as the calipers are designed to transfer the same fluid volume as the o.e calipers.
Elvis is the true King :)
Love what you done to the Bedford camper 👏👏👊
The description says S18 E2. Bit Elvis wasn't on Wheeler Dealers until S24
7:43 my heart skipped a beat
Elvis ;excelente restaurador y mecanico:
So what was the “easy fix” for the high beams… my 911 has the same problem and if I don’t have to spend $500 on a new high/low beam stalk that would be great!
What a car !
Bought mine w/187k miles and sold it w/240k and never touched the motor.
Gran lavoro 👏
Amazing car 🙂
Love this. The only really interesting part of WD and none of the bullshit.
Those Op-Art checkered seats were very rare in Porsche's..
Sub $2k for a top end on the engine? Uhhh, no chance if you actually did a top end. Head studs alone and replacing valve guides and seats is more than that.
What happened to the engine rebuild , the bores, bearings and valves and springs must be worn at that mileage
Not really if the engine was taken care of (just consistent oil changes). The old 911 engines are bullet proof if they are driven and taken care off. They easily can do over 200k. They only need rebuilds if neglected or if they’ve sat for 30 years. And the ones that have sat for a long time just need new seals.
Love it
With that being a a 3.0, that motor needed nothing at that mileage. I worked on those when they were new and people would put lots of mileage on them. I've seen them up to 300K before a rebuild.
Porsche make a replacement 80's period looking radio to fit 70's & 80's Porsche's, which has modern features.
You could have showcased something like that during this build...
Old 911 prices are getting out of hand.
I'd like to know where they sourced the brake calipers and discs!?
Elvis is by far the most versatile so far, sorry Edd
My god I would love the opportunity to own a 930 in Guards Red.
Now add the Labour charge in
Forgetting hundreds of hours at £100/hr for Elvis's and crews time
20th time about asking why don’t you allow automatic English subtitles?? Free feature to help non English native people to understand better the language.
You can turn them on in settings
@@CreatingArt3185 they are disabled
On point just right would of been easy to go too far. Remembered it’s a Rolls and respectfully personalised class on wheels.
Elvis is the best
How is this Season 18? Elvis started in season 24 right?
price ?
Love the car but an engine rebuild at 100K seems a little excessive.
Not realty. Performance engines have a much harder life & the 997.1 engine won’t even get to 50k
Chains, guides, and cogs need checking at the least, not to mention intake and exhaust valves. A new clutch would be wise, too.
Very strange that the steering wheel is not from a 911 SC but from a Carrera '85 or younger.
There is a way to make that complex piece in one piece. There are some of us that know Metallurgy.
The front fender should have been changed rather than patching. It’s not too hard to get another one.
normally, anything you can buy is cheaper than making it . wings for example and they might be 'better' ? . . ; )
the car is now in good "Nick" as the Brits would say
The wheels are not pronounced foosh. It’s Fuchs which is the german for fox!
well.... saying reliable and volkswagen in one sentence is like saying unicorns exist....
Draining clean oil out….
Where can I get that top end rebulid for that ammount of money ?
Screw that, for double of that ammount.
I'd be happy if I could pay only double !
So where do I have to ship the car ?
It's all bs, lots of stuff unaccounted and not included.
@@PamirAFG 32gs? More like 100gs!
Wheels repainted, labor not counted, all in all would cost less to buy a whole car vs spending time and money, unless you do it yourself
It’s repeating old episodes. 911, Maserati, MX5 ……… different mechanics
They should always have worked in labour costs?
I was offered a complete G Body 911 for £18k in 2016
27 grand is a ridiculous price in that condition.
@@michaelblaes9847yes, ridiculously cheap these days.
why is the show still going
Noticed we only see him start then finish and clean gloves bring bk ed a real mechanic
Wow, it looks terrible!!
Even Elvis can't pronounce Porsche.
Transformer
We probably won't bounce back...
Hope this country will be hospitable for people of the minorities
No .
You do know it’s a show about cars! Isn’t your new Prime Minister from an Indian background?
Does anyone know if the the music in the episode is real music I can buy or just filler music? Especially the tune when was rebuilding the engine… really bugging me, I’ve heard it before somewhere…
Ill stick with my Cayman as my daily driver.. more reliable 😂
Complete fake. This car was my friends car and it had to be sold to pay for legal fees she incurred due to her ex sperm donor partner. This is a fake restoration. Shame on you wheeler dealer Mike.
