Emotionally packed wedding. Wow! The Catholic Priest was wonderful. The Church plays such a huge part in Lauren's life. Her faith is very strong. Luke is a wonderful man. So considerate of his family. Beautiful. So much love between them.

@@Havis_Princess most people only marry in the church because it’s a nice building and it makes nice pictures - without caring about the sacraments. If you only go to church once a year on Christmas (if so) you don’t need to marry in one in my opinion… you wouldn’t marry in a mosque/ Buddhist temple just because it is a nice building would you?

This was so beautiful. She cried buckets this whole process. I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown. He did great!
I smiled throughout the show, then cried at the end. I don't know when this was filmed, but wish them a life of happiness together.

YES, you are extremely blessed by this man. He basically focused and made the whole wedding revolve around you and with you in mind. You should also be glad you have a man that is not possessive and jealous and is fine with you showing your beauty publicly.

weddings now are just for the bride. It doesn't matter what the groom wants anymore so the bride is expected to (and wants and almost demands to) do it all without the input of the groom. He is seen as a fox in the hen house.

Maybe in your country, in Denmark we are much more relaxed. Marriage is for the groom and bride, you get married because of love. In the US and in England, it means more to most people to spend a lot of money, have many bridesmaids and love is less important😔.

My heart hurts for all of the parents with babies in the nicu. It's so tough. The only reason I didn't lose my mind when my daughter was in there is because she needed me to be strong, and thankfully, my mom reminded me of that every day. I'm happy for this couple that their baby is happy and healthy ❤ This was a great episode with an awesome couple 😊 I hope that they have a long, wonderful life together.
Lovely lovely couple!! The groom did great and the bride is just wonderful...the nerves are understandable but in the end all went well.

Because you can fly to Italy from the UK for less than £20. And she has family there to stay with.

Lauren's whole Italian dream is not personal to her husband at all but she wants her husband to consider something she experienced as a child and is only personal to her and not a shared experience of "us." Meanwhile, he's trying to get a Catholic church wedding for her when he isn't Catholic or religious.

This whole show prompts the brides to talk about what she would do or suggest on all these details if she was able to help plan the wedding. they don't prompt them to say what compromises they would make for their grooms, while the grooms are actually planning the wedding and it IS up to them to consider both themselves and their brides. Comparing what the brides and grooms do on this show isn't apples to apples.
I'm engaged and planning my wedding currently and if someone asked me what my dream venue was, I'd mention one I fell in love with before I showed my fiancé to get his opinion on it (He did like it a lot but it was sadly booked solid). And he's talked about a venue that he'd love but I wasn't too thrilled about. It's ok that couples have ideas for the wedding that don't match up; normally they are able to discuss it and figure things out. Fiancé and I worked together to find one we both loved, and it's one that I would have never looked at if it had been just me searching.
The maid of honor is as selfish as the bride.

It's an L Plate like you see on cars driven by Learner Drivers. Not every Hen Party features this so I don't know 100% but I think the joke is that the bride-to-be is "learning" how to be a "proper" wife.

Im surprised they always have problems with one of them being Catholic and the other one not. My mum and dad were in the exact same situation (as have other people I know) and it was no trouble. They only changed the vows a bit, and my dad had to promise to let my mom raise me catholic (which he didnt care about)

How in the world were they allowed to get married in the Catholic church when he isn't Catholic, and they have a child out of wedlock???
in the catholic church, a catholic can marry a non-catholic. only one spouse needs to be a baptized catholic in order for the marriage to be recognized by the church as a sacrament. the church also won't refuse to marry you if you have a child out of wedlock--having a child doesn't affect the sacrament. if anything, the church thinks its great that they decided to get married and bring their daughter up in the faith.

Watching this again and sometimes you wonder why a church wedding is so important in light of the couple have a child and have been living together already. Just saying...

Lauren goes on fishing trip to her church. Priest keeps things on down low. Instead of praying, Lauren thinks the worst. Lauren has an imagination and thinking patterns that are definitely not OF God. She actually likes the dress. Oh my, maybe she's having a breakthrough.

It was paid for by production, wouldn't have been very interesting to film her thoughts on her sofa. They often send the brides to exotic places to film their thoughts, it makes for an interesting show.
Why in the world would she want to marry someone who doesn't understand the importance of marrying in a Catholic church (any church will do??) and apparently wants to drink all the time? 🙄
For someone who claims to be religiously pious, Lauren is not very gracious, patient or grateful. Her bridesmaid seems to be Lauren's dumping ground in lieu of dumping on longsuffering Luke. She's extremely materialistic, superficial and image conscious. It's a shame she did not learn what was important and irreplaceable after almost losing her daughter, Poppy. She takes a lot for granted. Charmed lives do not last forever.
