Gavin will always be one of the most inventive drummers because of how he uses each piece of the kit like an orchestra in combination with the other instruments. Instead of just focusing on kick snare and hats for grooves as many do, he's always incorporating the rest of the kit in a way to keep it interesting, but he never overplays; it always fits perfectly with what the other band members are doing.
Gavin’s an amazing communicator, not only with the drums but also explaining his ideas and how he came up with each part of the song. Bravo. Love it. He’s my all time favorite drummer.
