FINALLY TRUE ENERGYBENDERS. no more fake bloodbending chi block bullcrap!m
I don't think it should be cyberpunk, but closer to the retro 80's vibes. Aang series was around 1800's style as with Korra it was the Roaring 20's. So having an alt 80's style should be the next logical step.
its probably going to be retro 80's. I feel like ppl are over exaggerating with "cyberpunk vibes", like it'll probably just be something more similar to magipunk but instead of traditional magic it'll be innovations in bending. It's not gonna be like hoverboards, lasers, and robots and stuff lol, it will most likely just be a logical advancement of what we had in korra with it coming into have more of it's own unique inventions rather than 1:1 reflections of IRL stuff
My thoughts exactly! If they were really going Cyberpunk, the series should be intended for the Firebending Avatar not Earth. TBH, I would prefer if the Avatar after Korra was somewhere around the 80s, 90s and Present. I don't mind if the Earth Avatar adapted to the equivalent of our timeline sorta.
@@Feniel_ Cyberpunk is 80s aesthetics though...
@@lennysmileyface it's 80s aesthetic pushed into the future. Kinda like Fallout is 50s aesthetic but in the future (and also after an apocalypse)
Yeah that part has me a little worried. I just hope jinora will br alive to succeed tenzins role
I don't know if I want to see more modern avatar stories. The old world is much more beaitiful and compelling.
bending becomes just underpowered when it comes to modern guns.
For real this gonna suck
I rather want to see the journey from the second Avatar aka the Avatar who had the first experience with being born with all four elements to idk till Avatar Yangchen.

Go watch tlab then😂

The thing that's always made ATLA special to me is it felt like East Asian high fantasy. It drew close enough to a historical inspiration that it felt culturally familiar as a chinese kid. Korra became modern and abstracted in a way that made it feel like just generic western anime. I very much don't want to see cyberpunk avatar if it's gonna be culturally modern.
What if it starts all cyberpunk and corrupted, but becomes for fantasy and ancient like later?
I mean western? modern China and South Korea and so on cities are actualy like they being portrayed in Korra. Their tech is even more progressed than in the west.
Asia probably has more of a cyberpunk aesthetic than the West. Look at Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai.
I get that you connect to the culture and all, but in my opinion, Korra had a better design of the world. It kep the fantasy elements and added more to it. It's very logical.
As long as it has a banger story and fights, I actually don’t give af about the setting
Going from 20s to Cyberpunk makes no sense. The next Avatar should be around modern times, like the late 1900s or early 2000s.
However, they could skip the Earth bending Avatar, and go straight to Fire. That way, they can do something more futuristic, and also have some kind of story revolving around the Earth bending Avatar too. Maybe the Earth Avatar divided the world and made everyone distrust the Avatar, and the Fire Avatar will have to unite it. It’ll be a nice reflection of Aang’s story, where he had to unite the world because the Fire nation divided it. Now the Fire nation will have to unite it.
technically cyberpunk was invented in the 1990s and with bending, technology could develop faster than it did in our world. also if you look at asian metropolises (cuz the show should still be based on asian culture), they kinda resemble that aesthetic already but i also get your point
agree with the fire avatar thing but it being semi-cyberpunk actually makes very sense..
Imagine an Assassin's creed Avatar. The thumbnail image looked like an epic Assassin's creed bending elements. Lool, that'd be wild!
I love how you still use the Legend of Genji for the earth avatar. It would be pretty cool if Avatar Studios picked that story up instead
it's unlikely, but I do find it curious the whole project just mysteriously vanished. You'd think if they were told to cease and desist, they would have announced it, but no, all the work just... Vanished.
I think the thing that really striked me, and why I'd love to see more, is that Genji would not have been the Avatar in the traditional sense. He would have been an underdog, with a rough past and clearly having to fight just to prove himself. And it seems unlikely his Avatar State would be all that powerful either, because he would only have a single Avatar's knowledge to bring forth...
The Legend of Genji creators confirmed that they were not picked up by Avatar Studios.
@@nuclearmex630 did they? when and where did they say that?
I hope not. It feels really weird and desperate when original creators use fan shit.
@@CanisMythson Avatar Studios aren't the type to cease and desist fan projects -that's Nintendo- but it is disappointing how the project was just dropped as soon as the series was announced since LOG had soo much potential the way it was going. I instantly began to like the idea of Genji starting from the bottom and living in a tough environment.
But i guess if the team was planning to go their separate ways anyways then i respect that, i am still disappointed though.
Ngl im mad excited for the earth avatar especially after seeing The Legend of Genji fan project. I just hope they don't mess it up, i don't care about the gender, sexual orientation or anything. Just have it stay true to the source material of the first two shows and pour love into it.
fr
If you don’t care about the gender and sexual orientation then why are you bringing up the gender and sexual orientation? Seems like you care about it.
@@nelsontorres9557 I really don't actually but you seem to care enough to reply so something about my comment seems to have triggered you. Tell me about it.
@@nelsontorres9557 He cares whether it gets inserted and has no place in the story.
When does gender and sexual orientation ever have a place in the story? Or better question, when does it ever not have a place in the story? Why don’t yall complain when the characters are depicted a straight relationship? Or when it’s super obvious the characters are heterosexual? Why is it that when heteronormative relationships are displayed it does have a place in the story, but when homosexual relationships are displayed it doesn’t have a place in the story?? Seems like you just get uncomfortable when shows depict anything that’s different than you. That’s the problem, when someone in real life is gay or trans, it’s not a choice it’s just what they are, that’s just how the cookie crumbles. So if we’re depicting characters in tv shows that are gay or trans, we’re just mirroring what happens in real life, it’s just who they are that’s how the cookie crumbles. I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. And that’s stupid for you to say “if it has no place in the story” because it will NEVER have a place in the story, is a fucking sexuality or gender identity. You just don’t want us to exist.
I hope they bring back Guru Patik
i hope they bring back the cabbage man
They need to learn to balance out sci fi and fantasy with this series
I really don’t want avatar to be more like dragon ball z the legend of kora was already stretching it
lol. Okay.
Besides the Mecha Tanks and that final giant Robot at the end of the show I really liked the style of the 20s and Republic City. Before all that sci-fi shit ruined it

I would like an Avatar series focused on a great depression esque time period.
I like that, it sound interesting.
yes! I like that! def think a jump to cyberpunk would be a bit much given how we JUST got to the industrial revolution. Would like them to keep w/ the 1900’s feel for at least a little bit and a Great Depression time period could be cool.
not rly, the industrial revolution was technically in ATLA in the fire nation. korra is set in the 1920s, so it wouldnt make much sense for progress to slow down THAT MUCH after such a leap. in the real world technology progress is a curve. humans were pretty stupid for a longn time, and then it went up a bit, then a bit more, and if u put it on a graph, it would look like a curve. so actually it makes sense@@teddysquid103

Dude you low key clickbaited us
I see the thumbnail and I just wish they’d give us an official image of what the next avatar after Korra will look like. I imagine it will look like Asami since each new avatar resembles the physical appearance of the previous avatar but still I want to see it.
Why would it look like a woman? The new avatar will be a man.
Dont expect any official art until 2025
I wonder if the next avatar will learn reality bending or time bending or bending different elements at the same time like crating shadow clones but for different elements.
Every avatar fan when the next avatar series comes out finally some action
I’ll bet you 7 bucks fans hate this one for 1.5 seasons
So...how is the next avatar series real...if we don't even have confirmation on it? I'm getting tired of all the clickbait this channel has been doing....
Not to mention the actual video doesn't start until 1/3 of the way through.
This channel ahs made some really great videos and privides good news. I don't remember it always having to clickbait to get views. I wish it would just give us news and title appropiately. Unfortunate I'm going to have to find a different channel to get reliable news from.
Because a very very credible leaker had leaked some stuff (he is not credible anymore though)

One think avatar is missing in it fights to make it more anime is IMPACT FRAMES.
i really need the thumbnail art man pleaseee
Hopefully it's the series about the boy on the other side of the world who became avatar in a nation not know to the 4. Instead of the genshin one in the sand desert.
we don't want an avatar series with cyberpunk setting, what makes the show good was its authentic and mystique world... It has its own mythology and tales. Mixing it with sci-fi elements are not a good idea. I know the creators of show likes sci-fi elements but keeping their ideas for another show other than avatar wouldn't be better?
If I'll be a millionaire I'm making my own Avatar :v

Ending original content only means they're taking a lot of risk to do that, but this is something even LucasFilm do it for Star Wars and Star Wars alone.
This topic has been covered a few times in the past. Remember back when the Earth Bender Avatar twins.
Why are there different companies to produce this Avatar frenchis? From netflix to Disney to now paramount, maybe that's the way the producers want it but i don't think it makes sense, please explain

why is it so hard for these channels to credit the art they use

I hope it just became real, I need more avatar!!
Mabye the next 2025 show will be a remake or reboot but still that’s just a theory
I really don't like the trend, where they introduce a special, almost legendary bending technique (like flying, energy-, metal-, lightning bending) in one show and in the next almost everyone can do it. It takes all the mystery out of it.
For example in ATLA there were only a handful of people skilled enough to bend lightning and in LoK ever 2nd firebender shot electricity as if they were Nicola Tesla.
I always think of bending more of something like martial arts, where (no matter the time period) you have to train hard or be skilled in order to be good at it. But in LoK it felt more like a technology. As soon as someone figured out how to do it, everyone has access to it.
But other than that I'm really looking forward to new Avatar content! I just hope they bring back some of it's mystery and beauty that ATLA had and (in my opinion) got lost in LoK.
Totally agree with you. Things were so unique and magical in ALAB
Crazy how someone invented the motor vehicle over a hundred years ago and now everyone has a car and driving one.
But martial arts do improve over time. Someone advances it and eventually becomes a master that teaches the next generation what they had learned making the next generation generally more proficient at it than the last. Lightning bending was always seen as a technique that could be learned so why wouldn’t it be taught after the war?
The same applies with metallbending. Toph invented it but it was never stated that she was the only one that could do it. Most sports do improve over time and martial arts is a kind of sport so it only makes sense for it to improve as well.
well thats how the world works 😭 initially comuters were only for the very wealthy and the scientists but now its almost impossible to function in the modern world without one thats just how development goes

Victory for the avatar community
The best outcome would be, since it's the far future, in the end the world is like nuked back to "the stone age" and the next avatar series goes back to being a more feudal/medieval/spiritual/martial arts one with the fire bending Avatar helping recover society
Avatar line continues?
Where is the thumbnail from
I Hope they had forgotten that DBZ level fight thing...
I literally watched the legend of Korra forcefully cause it was so bad and had little interesting to tell. I hope the new series won't disappoint the audience :(
Maybe they should a kiyoshi series instead
No way that tweet was true, but I would love a more adult avatar in a neo-noir sort of setting
Wait that’s uncle iroh? 6:54
2 :30 intro for 5:00 min video 😊
I liked tlok but one of the few things I HATED about it was how overpowered it was. Everyone could lightning and metal bend people could fly and the energy bending stuff was ridiculous. I also hate how the modern technology made bending feel useless at times. The show was "more spiritual" in a sense but the show didnt have the spirit of TLA. everything felt more important in TLA like when toph learned how to bend metal or one of Ang's journeys to the spirit world. They had a weight to it that Korra lost.
MAN I CANT WAITTT😭🫶🫶
This ai enhanced animation literally gave me brain damage
Why can’t they just do a series that continues after TLA season 3?
there's already a comic which is book 4

03:36 this is too much :D
I didn't like the sudden emergence and advancement of technology in Korra. I felt like the activism in it and daily lives of people (worrying about APPROVAL RATINGS because... democracy) was making the show too much like modern day America. I'm trying to escape the world dammit.
I enjoyed the simple ways of the original Avatar world. Now you are telling me we are going for Cyberpunk?
We don't need this. Fuck.
These on and off leaks.. it forces those of us burdened with its care to walk a razors edge between humanity, and savagery
Eventually, we're torn apart..
Wish I knew about the job listing - would've loved to work on it!
I wonder if it will be a guy or a girl. Maybe they'll look like asami.
the Netflix adaptation is tragic, especially now there are two butt productions (live action)
Ew. I feel like the farthest Avatar should go is the 60s or 70s. It was already iffy for Korra to have such crazy technology.
That being said, a story about a culture who has lost their connection to nature (and maybe lost their bending because of it) could be interesting
finally
Korra will live over a hundred years until she passes away and the next avatar is born from what I heard, which means this show will be set in modern times like 2020s.
I don’t know about that, water tribe Avatars don’t live that long according to Kuruk
I'm certain Kuruk never said such
If you look during the time unavaatu was destroying Korra past lives you'd probably see 2 old water tribe avatars. It's just that Kuruk dealt with spirits though not sure about Korra since she now lives with spirits not harming them learning the technique to purify them if needed@@The_Illegal_One

DBZ is like the last thing i wanna see in AVATAR.
Didn't they learn from Korras mistakes?
I seriously doubt they will have more flying air Benders (if any.) my first point being that there has only ever been two air Benders to ever do it, Zaheer and guru Laghima. flight is also supposed to be the hardest air Bending technique, which brings me to my second point. To achieve flight u must let go all earthly attachments this is hardly achievable for the average person, including air Benders as they all have someone or something they care for on earth. Zaheer himself was only able to do it once his girlfriend died, which to makes it all the more unlikely that there will be flying air Benders, if any. Honestly if they ignore all that lore and do it anyway ide be a little upset, I am tired of avatar getting the short end of the stick when it comes to new media. that includes the games and the movie that won't be named.
I honestly feel bad for the next Avatar...
No sage advice or great wisdom from past lives, just effing Korra...

@@_1Brick1_ I've never said this publically. I HATED LEGEND OF KORRA! They didn't need to relate everything back to the original show so much. Should have been a new adventure instead of everyone attacking Republic City that AANG built! Lol. It should have been an all-new challenge and conflict.
@@isaiahmcallister3883 agreed
To be fair, Aang was basically cleaning up after Roku most of the time, fixing his fuck-ups, and worked his ass off to build and repair until the world was working again.
Of course it didn't feel nice to see Korra tear half of it down, and fight people tearing down the other half. The show was about Korra fucking up what Aang built as much as the last show was about Aang repairing what Roku fucked up. The difference is that we see Rokus fuckups only in flashbacks, while we have an entire show about Aang building and repairing.
@@isaiahmcallister3883 Usually The next Avatar in the cycle is spending time undoing the mistakes of their predecessor. Each story (even in the comics it touches on this) The stories have to tie into each other because reincarnation is involved and it's a continuation series. TBH other than the first season in LOK, Aang wasn't very involved or seen many times again and why they decided to destroy the Avatar cycle to focus more on Korra's journey in the first place.
