I watch Karl Urban and I see Eomer, "Bones" McCoy, Judge Dredd, the Butcher, all without conflict. I love him dearly.
Or the assassin in Bourne Supremacy.
No one else in that industry looks so fucking grizzled. He's got the best angry stare of all time.

So glad that Karl Urban mentioned Simon Pegg at the end. Pegg got him good on the set of Star Trek Into Darkness with the neutron cream prank. Really, he got everybody good with that one.
What was even better was that the film crew was in on it, creating an actual neutron cream, and then the assistant directors would make everyone jump up and down to “shake the ions out.”
Dredd 2. Make it happen. Hell, bring back judge Anderson. She was bad ass too.

He said he'd be down for it. But they haven't found the legendary producer/director who would shoulder this task and carry it forward.
Dredd may not have been a box office hit, but it took off steep afterwards on BR and streaming. Its one of those instant classics that sort of eluded the mainstream when it was in theaters. Always a shame.
To me, the best part of his Dredd, was that I didn't really know who Urban was. So I couldn't picture a face behind that helmet. And idk it just made it so cool for me
Last I heard they were trying for a Netflix style tv series.
Karl's got a LOT of pull now, because of The Boys so it might happen.

I pranked this hotel pretending to be an associate of Arnold Schwarzenneger and himself as well, claiming "I" was in portugal to speak with the minister of foreign affairs and scouting for a new movie, this, during the time he was the governor of California. I asked the hotel guys to keep it in total secrecy, next day on a newspaper "Arnold Schwarzenneger comes to Portugal to meet with the MFA"

What trick did Simon Pegg play on him?
Pegg got the prop guys on Star Trek to make a "Neutron Cream" container, gave it to Urban and had the director tell Urban he used too much and needed to jump up and down to "get the ions off him."
I fell in l9ve with him, when i watched the weird "The Price of Milk"

A coworker pranked me pretty savagely once. I'll be honest, I was burned, and I wanted the revenge to be scathing. She knew I was smouldering too. I couldn't think of anything... but I just started asking really, but ominous questions. "How was lunch?" "Good." "Yeah good? What'd you have?" "Tuna sandwich." "Tuna huh? What kind?" "... I dunno." "You don't know what kind of Tuna? Huh... did it taste okay...?" "... why?" "Just asking is all." "WHY??" *shrug and smirk*
I didn't do anything to her lunch... but she started checking things for pranks. Her food, her desk, anything I handed to her. When all you know is that the prank is coming, EVERYTHING is the prank.
Letting revenge simmer is the best move you can. Judge Dredd knows what he's doing.
