Today we take on Old thorns golf club but we are playing together... We are playing better ball so taking our best score on each hole and seeing how low we can go.
Lovely course. Haven't been able to play much, a member of my household tested positive and I've been isolating. It always makes me smile seeing other people playing when I can't though.
Oh no. As long as your all feeling ok. That's the main thing... Plenty of time to play golf once your done isolating... At least the weather isn't that appealing at the moment
Unbelievable course and set up, well worth the money and trip, I’m just down the road, spa access for the wife’s is decent aswell, lovely country park for a nice walk with dogs just down road aswell, queen Elizabeth Country park, and lovely town called petersfield, very testing conditions Wayne, who cares, just playing golf and having fun🏌🏻🏌🏻🏌🏻🏌🏻
@@RealgolfWD the tree you were under on the third I should've told you to look up as one of our lads ball was up there next to the rake that was lodged in the branches. It didn't come down the whole time we were there. It could still be?!? 🤣
Great vlog mate, i love old thorns its a great course, good to see mr pearson out again, rob playing very well be he wishes he was playing this well in your last game of the series match lol.
It’s great watching a channel where I’ve played many of the courses they vlog about. It would be great to see you at Orchardleigh in Frome at some point in the future ( I’d stay away till it’s dried up from all this rain though )
Glad your enjoying it... Nice to be able to relate to the courses isn't it. I've heard orchardLeigh is good. Nearly played it last year with Sam but played Pompey instead... It's defo on the list of courses to try
Love playing this course used to play it alot before they put the new complex in . used to walk 36 holes in the day , would struggle now lol .Good vlog Wayne , Stuart does hit a great ball .
Not played either of those... I've been wanting to get to willow for a while. Did even have a tee booked there once but something came up so I couldn't play it in the end. Old thorns is worth the journey... About an hour away roughly so not too bad
Course closed today due to snow so I will enjoy watching the lads play some golf. Score? Depends on the greens in their winter coat. I think 2 under would be rather special.
Haven’t played old thorns for about 15 years, remember liking it. Played today though. 3 over, with a 3 birdie -1 back 9 (and that was because I hit a double bogey on a par 3) 🥳🥳
@@jonstacey7416 back in the olden days... This vid has gone a bit crazy for views today. Not really sure why... Gained a load of subs too... If it carries on like this I'll be organising that golf day again
The first shot from under the tree you looked like Wayne Dewey the 2nd try you channeled your inner Zac Radford 😂😂😂. You guys are making par look very difficult hope the rain clears up and the game improves
I've never stayed in the hotel but the facility looks fantastic. Course is in an area that drains pretty well all year round.. some of the lower holes may be a bit boggy but to be honest.. if someone asked me to go for a round there in February.. I wouldn't think twice. You expect courses to be a little wet at that time of the year. I think you'll enjoy it
I'm just back in from a round. I'm not sure what your score will end up being. If it was a scramble I'd fancy you to go under par, but betterball, is a tad harder. For the sake of picking something rather than nothing, Ill go for 4 over.
@@RealgolfWD The weather was petty reasonable...the golf slightly less so, a mixed bag of a few good and a few bad. Best summed up by three shots on the last hole, (spectacular par 5, by the way). I hit a reasonable drive followed by a topped/thinned hybrid into a fairway bunker about 135 from the middle of the green. I absolutely flushed a 7 iron high over the flag and equally high over the green to see it it land on the path just before the out of bounds where it proceeded to bounce over the o/b, over the hedge behind the o/b and onto the roof of the house behind the hedge where it bounced erratically left and right on the tiles as it made its way down the roof before landing, I assume, in their garden.
@@RealgolfWD It was similar to Lee's at your day, Wayne. It was right in front of the clubhouse and, as funny as it was, it was the first time I've been glad for covid and everything being shut and empty.

Beautiful golf course! Nice vlog bud. Love it. Hopefully weather clears up soon.
Cheers mate. Is a really nice track
Looks good will have to have a trip up there this year. Happy Birthday btw!
Cheers mate.. defo worth a trip. Only an hour away... Great value
Looking forward to this mate, Myself and some lads were there last July, loved it. Fantastic place. Worth every penny 🏌️♀️⛳👌
Without a doubt. They do such good deals, could easily charge more money

East Horton. Was an absolute bog! Magnify mannings Heath by 10. New driver was great, irons solid and putting was unreal!

We really are, aren't we... Weird cus we can all make pars for fun when playing against each other. Lol
In the summer I reckon you three would definitely be on for 5 or 6 under but in those conditions I think you might just sneak under par?
