Younger sister Annie is a clever child who handles her older brother Kiyomasa well in puberty.
At the end of the video, there is a boom-up scene where Kiyomasa touches her crotch. I posted it because I thought it would be useful for research materials.
A leading gorilla researcher from Kyoto University, who is visiting the site, told me that there is no possibility of pregnancy because I think he is using contraception and not just posing.

高画質で研究資料に有意義だと思い掲載いたしました。
現地に来ている京都大学のゴリラ研究の第一人者の先生は､ポーズだけで挿入はしていなく避妊もしていると思うので妊娠の可能性はなくとの事､少し安心しました。

We already knew this was going to happen. Annie was trying to lure kyomasa into mating earlier today. Just because she can't get pregnant doesn't make it any better. They will just grow up confused, thinking that it's ok to mate with their own children. The gorilla program in Japan is terrible, I feel so bad for all of these wonderful gorillas.

@@Mr.Gori_1996 I am glad that they are using birth control. That prevents the worst from happening. But I think there are other negative consequences for allowing this to continue. I think that annie needs a little more time with her family. But kyomasa is ready to be on his own. Keeping the young gorillas in their family group after they hit sexual maturity is not the right thing to do.

To me it looks as if they honestly love each other. What is sad is if/when they are separated. Besides the moral concern I wonder if these 2 would die of broken hearts if separated?
@@shawna6683 no. Unfortunately they will have to be separated sooner than later. Usually when they become adults they want to leave. Most of the time it is the zoo's that keep them for too long, usually they are ready to go. Annie is crucial for Japan, because she is the only female that isn't related to all the males. And kyomasa is almost at the age where he will be ready to start a family. It will be sad in one way, but happy in another way.
Sadly, it is time to make changes for Kiyomasa, before one of these ladies gets with child. Annie may be" handling cleverly," but eventually Kiyomasa will land his arrow.

The only 100% assurance of successful contraception is sterilization. Otherwise, you are playing Russian Roulette.

It’s normal gorilla behavior, ya gotta stop affixing human ethics to this behavior. Yes, it would be in Kiyos best interest to be moved to a bachelor group but I think Japan is working on it an from what I hear it takes time. These animals are well cared for an from what I heard on contraception

A plan should have already been in place, like zoos in the states had already action plan as soon as gorillas showed any evidence of challenging the silverback. They practice short travel for them so it is not such a traumatizing experience like it was for momotaro. He still upset to this day anyone in a White hardhat.. They also started one hour a day training for young males to be prepared for a bachelor group so it doesn't happen so unexpected for them. The zoo where Frank and Monroe are has been exceptional in what they are doing for their gorillas. Very impressive
An Kyoto Zoo I believe are getting funding to create a space for Gentaro an Kintaro to be away from their parents. Unfortunately it’s quite a dilemma in Japan as there are not enough females. There are many issues they are dealing regarding logistics. An where to place these gorillas. Problem is also the Zoos are I believe owned. Momo an Gentaro are owned by Chiba Zoo an likewise for the other gorillas so it’s more convoluted an not simple. I hope that things are figured out as these animals all deserve to live their lives to the fullest an have their own families @@kimgraham9671

Kiyo is probably very clever by not doing it so boldly in front of Shabani. Like how Annie is clever to pick on granny with Shabani around, because Nene never goes crazy with Annie when he's watching. Very clever family!

People be humanising these gorilas to much! They are not human and shouldn't be judged like they are! This is not unheard of behaviour in the wild. As for name calling or blaming any of the gorillas is ridiclous!. The gorillas can't go anywhere, so it's the zoo responsibility to look after them appropriately and move them. To the videographer, I personally don't think we need close-ups of Kiyo playing with his male part. It is totally normal for a gorilla to do so, but I thought it was a little odd that you wanted to film it and focus on it 🤔
I like to see unedited gorilla behavior however disturbing it is to humans
There's something disturbing going on in these zoos and I DON'T blame the gorillas. They keep them too long, knowing full well about all the incest taking place. Hormones will be hormones, but you don't purposefully give them access to each other out of the sight of everyone where they can keep on doing it. And the footage at the end, pray tell us the purpose for that? What are you hoping to accomplish with that? I do think the gorillas have a certain amount of ethics, maybe not as strict as ours, but I think mentally, it has to be healthier if they're not put in a position of having to commit incest in order to answer nature's call to procreate and carry on the species. They're having to put multiple roles with one gorilla, they love their siblings as a family member, then they have to put sexual feelings in there too, because there's no other choice. That seems confusing to me. But some of these videos seem geared to being used as another tool for grooming US into normalizing abnormal sexual deviance by using the cute gorillas we love as an example.

At the gorilla house in Higashiyama Zoo, the indoor behavior of gorillas is used as research material, and researchers and students from Kyoto University come to visit every day. I'm including it in the video. He said that poses are the only behaviors similar to mating between siblings. That's how I feel now.
@Mr.Gori_1996 You're conducting research on caged gorillas, unable to do what their normal behavior is in their wild environment. I fail to see what the scientific benefit is in that. Then you post closeups of their private parts to be viewed for entertainment purposes? What the heck kind of zoo are you guys running over there? Research my arse. If you isolate them from other potential mates, what the h*ll do you think is going to happen once they've gone through puberty and reached sexual maturity? What kind of sick bullsh*t are you REALLY doing? Folks don't be blind. If something seems off, it probably is. Question what appears strange, don't accept lame explanations.
