Michael Longfellow pulling off that scream completely deadpan has made me uncontrollably crack up every replay.

I think Che has said that if one of them leaves WU, the other will step down as well.
The rumors of Che leaving last season had me so scared that we're close to the end.
That's why they got promoted to Head Writers a couple years ago.

Edit: The fact that Jost was still pulling giggles despite the audiences best attempts to not laugh is impressive.
on reddit they pointed out that only one little section was laughing - everyone who came in late from the Standby line and didn't hear Che ask them not to laugh before the show!

This was a phenomenal segment. The prank, the "mom left" joke, the short king bit were all gold!
I was just as confused as Collin at the start of this. The opportunity to do pranks like that is exactly what makes Weekend Update the best by far on SNL. Nice one Che 😂👏🏼
The cast pranking Colin Jost continues to be the funniest part of this entire show.
I really appreciate how much Michael longfellow uses the art department. He does some really creative stuff with prosthetics and costumes.
If you know the relationship between Che and Jost and you understand how serious comedians take people laughing at their jokes is you understand how truly diabolical that joke he played on his brother was. Give these two a movie together or something 😅😅😅

This is, hands down, the funniest thing two SNL cast members have ever done together, and it’s not even a skit. I love how Colin collapses, then recovers like a pro and respects the game Che played. I just hope he’s plotting his revenge… can’t wait to see it!

Also I’m really glad I wait until they post the full vid, I think if I watched it in clips it would’ve taken away from the experience. I was able to really enjoy the pacing of the joke because of that.
