V Rising recently released on steam to a lot of noise and fanfare, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's a pvp survival game with a twist - a vampire aesthetic, an interesting skill system, and smooth building mechanics make for a game with an immense amount of promise. Follow me as I go through the first day or so of gameplay to give you an idea of what the game is like.
There's PVP, base building, boss fighting - everything you'd be curious to see as a prospective buyer.

Been hooked on this game! Definitely a fun alternative to Conan for those ppl that are unhappy with its current state. Really excited to see where the devs take this game.

The discovery part of this is one of the super fascinating parts for me too. I saw someone streaming it and thought I wanna go in as blind as possible. Somehow the game seems to be perfect for blind exploration.

Just picked this game up yesterday and despite the fact that the servers are ((somehow)) even worse than Conan's it's tremendously good fun.
Worse? I’ve been playing since launch with zero issues.

Playing it and for the early access it's solid. I do have some misgivings like way too high difficulty spike between copper and iron but it could be great. I'd love to see more of this.
Thats probably a really good choice;i went from 10x modded to vanilla basic on official spread over 10 servers in the last 3 weeks.After watching deep dive 2 times now.Im kinda realizing that im not having any fun in conan exiles either.I feels like a job .I do have fun on the dogs of the desert training server but it very intense on concentration and cant be done well for multiple hours feeling totally emerged; looking forward to seeing more of your content in a different game.

Really love this game been playing in a heck of a lot and I really agree with the problems you mentioned. They should try to adjust the amount of Castle hearts people can have when in Duo or four clan servers
The game looks rly fun.
I'm just concernd you will not be able to make such cool filmlike movies you did in Conan (wich i fucking loved, tbh i watched your videos before playing the game and they made me start it)

I usually hate survival games, but vampires are my one exception. You give me a bite attack that also restores my health and can be used in combat and we’re good.

Did you see there are server settings allowing all characters to start at a higher level?
No more hours of grinding with new characters if you join the right server.

game's so good and the company behind it is pretty solid. idk what else we need from a game nowadays.

It's a great game so far. Played the s**t out of it last night after I bought it.
They really need to add controller support! This would be a PERFECT game for my Steam Deck.
Already really enjoying it though. Game is awesome.

There won't be any less land claim issues on the 4 man servers than duo, as every player gets 2 bases to build no matter the server type as far as I know. This actually needs to be changed. Decay timers are far too easy to maintain and far too long when fully stocked. You can claim land just to keep others from getting it. This is especially a problem on the non loot servers since you can't actually destroy castles. The map is too cluttered. I say they up the land claim limit on the max castle level by like 30% and force clans to share a base.
That is the only glaring issue that I have noticed so far though. It's been pretty incredible otherwise.

i can 100% see people like you making life on PVP servers hell for unexpecting people, thankfully i rolled PVE for that reason
Wow you were on a very unstable server. Out of the 3 servers I have tried only 1 was laggy because it had up to 100 people at once, but it was just lag, not complete connection losses.
