Amazing. THank yoU!

Do you have to run the code first? Cause i am getting an “Error Exception: Argument cannot be null: a1Notation” when I run the code. The formula also is not working
Whats the error when you use the formula?
@@BetterSheetsTypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘getLinkUrl’)(line 5)
tysm
Glad you liked it.
Brilliant sir, thank you so much.
Most welcome!
I always get TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getLinkUrl') (line 5). Why is that?
Am using the formula =GETLINK(CELL("Address";R2))
perhaps the semicolon in "Address";R2 needs to be a comma? The error is saying that the input is null, or rather it's getting nothing from your input.
This fixed the error for me 👆
Thank you very much!!
You're welcome!
2:50 You said we must surround the `input` with quotes, like `=GETLINK("D2")`
But then if you rearrange cells, things break, as that's not dynamic :(
So do this instead: `=GETLINK(cell("Address",D2))`
I haven't rearranged any cells. I have 100 rows of URLs. After the first 5-6 rows which were accurate, the rest are all jumbled and don't correspond to the reference cell in the row. Is there a way to avoid this?
You can use indirect() and concatenate to create the cell reference.
thanks for sharing, but this doesn't work when the URL doesn't contain "www"
Strange. Maybe add www?
Wondering if this still works. I'm having issues where the cell that should be returning the url is blank
Should still work
Amazing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks but I cant RUN the code in Apps script. Notice null line 3. Pls help
Are you pressing Run? If so then there is nothing. Needs to be used in a cell.
Script function not found: GETLINK
Were you able to watch the whole video. And add that function to apps script. Then need to use CELL() as well.
Thank you so much! ❤
You're welcome 😊
Hi! I need to create a formula or script. Which will return me a url to a cell in a given sheet. for example: =GET.URL(a1)
result: url
have you done this yet?
I got range not found error.
Make sure you use ADDRESS
Is possible create a GETDATE from a url? Which variables can I use?
What is a getdate? you want the date of a url?
@@BetterSheets Yes!
Not working. Error. Syntax error. Done every step 100%
Syntax error in formula?
@@BetterSheets yes
It's not working
What error do you get?
Same not working on my end. It says "Unknown function: 'GETLINK'."
@@Mhai_07 Did you add the apps script?
@@BetterSheets wont work for me either. Sheet has permission to run the function, but function isnt found in the sheet. When running the function in apps script, it gives an error: Error
TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getRange')
@@JohnnyV76V It won't have a range if you run it direclty from the editor.
thanks
You're welcome!
Don't make any sheet. Make better sheet. Clever
Thanks for coming around
Hope to see more of you!
