so much groove
That is probably the most accurate representation of a smith tone I’ve ever heard. Killer playing too. Just wow.
Had exactly same thoughts after listening it. So many people owns Smith but dials in some shitty tone on it or cant record it properly. Not the case with this dude. 🤜🤛👍
Nice tone, and GREAT technique! 😳 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Don’t know the song from “shine-ola” though, and my old ears could not pick up what the choir was singing (lyrics) but overall, a really nice cover IMHO.
Thanks my friend 👊🏼
I love the sound of Ken Smith basses. Great for contemporary gospel (Fred Hammond), smooth jazz/jazz (Melvin Davis, Gerald Albright early John Patitucci)
That smith tone is exquisite..
That kennsmith sound can bring tears to a grown man's eyes. Whew!
Also great playing brother. Manners and Respect
Thanks my brother 🙏🍻

Great playing - perfect Smith tone! 👍

Pardon my French, but Damn!! Well done, my friend. All of those tasty things Fred did on this song during that concert you nailed with some added flavor of your own. Again, well done. Oh, and your Smith…beautiful!

Is there a way that you can break down the lick at 0:12??
Nice. Is that standard tuning?
Thanks! Yes it is
