Unrealistic speed test. You didn’t move the adjustment on the crescent wrench the wrong way, every single time, before making the right adjustment, only to find out you’ve now gone too far. You also didn’t drop the crescent wrench, then forget which way you have to move the adjuster and go the wrong way again.
I have 2 pairs of pliers wrenches (7&10in) and I love them. However, we aren’t gonna shit on the adjustable (crescent). Don’t ever forget where ya came from!
On a serious note, the pliers wrench takes slightly longer to adjust but if you have to do more than 2-3 turns in a cramped space it is night and day better
I have the pliers wrench in multiple sizes and is my favorite one, but after the cobra which is the most used one. Adjustable wrench is rarely used. But I always carry a hammer. In the past I used my pliers as a hammer and after that they were sticking and the rivet was damaged. So I learned a lesson.
Yea I hardly use my adjustable now channel locks are just more convenient. There’s times where the adjustable does a better job but the ease and speed of channel locks make it better
Small skill issue with the pliers wrench. Once you get good at both of them the pliers wrench will always be much faster. But if you fumble it around then yeah it’ll be about the same speed.
This is so stupid anyone in a real maintenance field and actually knows what their doing is either gona use a nut driver, socket etc to tighten it loosen fasteners in this fashion and i say maintenance because maintenance is a broad field ranging from a plumber electrical to industrial maintenance. If I got caught struggling or wasting time like this my department lead would probably question my IQ.
Industrial maintenance electrician/milwright here I can fix 80% of the problems I come across in my plant (2 buildings and six 7 story ovens) with an adjustable and a multi bit screwdriver. If my boss saw me dragging my toolbox to every job... the other 20% of the time I'll bring my box and the right tools.
Love my pliers wrench, but have to admit I tried for ages to not use it as a hammer but last week I had no tools on the plot I was working close to hand apart from the knipex, I was lazy and it got used 🤣🤣
He means it would be a much better test with practical results if you do it in a real-world situation instead of drilling a bunch of holes in a 2by and setting some bolts in it.
Slightly misleading imo, Crescent brand adjustable wrenches are not the best, compared to a set of pliers from a pretty top tier brand doesn't exactly feel apples to apples to me.
@@ParklanCustomIt works alright as a hammer. Just have it set to a larger jaw size so you don't fuck it up. It won't do much, but for a little persuasion it'll be fine.
there are several applications that call for using a hand tool to tighten bolt connection through wood. Impact drivers aren't always the best choice as they can over tighten and damage the wood depending on the application. Rough framing impact drivers works fine.
Crescent wrench don't hold up to pliers wrench. I'll never probably buy another crescent wrench again now that I have almost all sizes Cobras and pliers wrenches.
Use those tools on bolts that are fastened into steel that are tightly secured. You were cheating with the knipex and not adjusting it to get maximum grip and torque. I bought one of these at work because of the hype. It takes more time to get optimal grip and torque i usually end up readjusting twice to get it on the right setting.
but man you really need a tighten this up man your wrench wrenching abilities is not wrenchy enough everyone that's a wrencher that knows anything about wrenching nose this
LOL, I was about to have a panic attack when I saw the hammering test.
Same lmao my cheeks clenched
Lol why they're well made tools, I've done it, you can still take care of tools without babying them
I have a knipex cobra from 2014 and i often abuse it as a hammer to open tank containers
I just got some today. I also tenst up said to myself you better not
I've used my 180mm Pliers wrench as a hammer, it's fine. Just learn how hard you can hit with it.
The hammer test sold me on the Cresent
😂😅🤦♂️
That’s why we call em adjustable Hammers

also 2 hands vs one
Every tool you own is a hammer at some point!
True words
Not if you're prepared. I carry a 2 inch hammer. And my putty knife is always handy, it's got a hammer thing in the bottom.
@@ParklanCustom lol

I was like dude it's still brand new looking...not yet at least
The hammer test us what I was referring to
The knipex are perfect for brass as they dont damage it.
Ahhhh the old "whats closet to me at this moment is a hammer"
Nearly panicked right there at the end lol

Using pliers as a hammer will definitely damage the tool. Great point.
Yea I hardly use my adjustable now channel locks are just more convenient. There’s times where the adjustable does a better job but the ease and speed of channel locks make it better
The Knipex required 100% more hands to use.
This is the best satire I've seen in a while
Each tool has its purpose if used properly.
I said “Ah he’ll no “ on your hammer test
Love the hammer test ...every tool should have a hammer on it
The ability to use any tool as a hammer is definitely a plus! Lol
Yes all mine has dents & bents for prying & hammering
Check out the Wera Koloss rachet😂😂😂

This guy did a grip test on the complete opposite tools 🤣
well it's something they can do that the other can't.

its not comparing the brands, its comparing the type of tool.
@@ParklanCustom I know, my point is that a higher end adjustable may perform better than a lower end one.
@@LargeFatherKain there’s nothing wrong with crescent’s adjustable wrenches, they work just as well as any other.
Crescent wrench every time, to break free tight stuff.
Thanks
Idk. I don’t use my pliers wrench. It’s kinda annoying tbh. I’ll stick to a crescent wrench.
just bought the dewalt fencing plier, just to replace the hammering functions of my 400 mm knipex cobra🤣
Good choice!
I'm sorry, were you using 2 hands with the pliers lmao
Yep, I believe I was, what’s your point?
Best hammers are the battery end of my Dewalt impact and my klein linesman. I know I know but idc. Its just so convenient lol.
Gave me anxiety when he said hammer test😅
Now try a Bacho Adjustable against those pipe grips.
Big bacho fan but since I got the knipex they never get used anymore.
I'm glad you can afford those hooray for you
Its hurts but I buy em
The crescent wrench was here 1st but both will do the same tighten nuts and bolts. The crescent for me more cause I don't own a pliers wrench.
Everybody in the know knows the best hammer is the bottom of a battery attached to a drill (or any LI power tool)😏

When will you be reviewing nws pliers wrench????
I have some NWS products that I am currently using, I like to use the tool before I review it. So NWS tools will be coming soon! 🤝😁
