    Prismatic Super Chrome + is by far the best Chrome on the market.Its very bright even after the clear.

    Hobbyist here, I’m somewhat sadly encouraged that I’m not the only person wasting money and time on horrible “Chrome” powders. Please update if you ever come across something a little more chrome appearance for people with normal vision!
    Thanks Again

    I hate chrome too lol No matter what chrome, every time, the clear ruins it imo. I always explain it to the customer and show them a sample.

    Still has a milky look but not as milky as prismatic. Can't expect an equal between powder and real nickel chrome though. The only chrome I'll do from now on is under a color. Thankfully I'm more of a hobbyist with powder. I try to stick to my profession of weld/fabrication and leave the powder to the pros

    • @CGT80
      @CGT80 Před 2 lety

      The chrome has to be at least partially cured. The clear protects the chrome so you want the chrome to flow out first. I am a beginner and have only shot candy over chrome and haven't tried clear yet, but have read enough and watched enough videos to answer the question......of course there is always someone who can get away with doing things different than most.

  • @stevenmitchell6347
    @stevenmitchell6347 Před 2 lety +2

    I can't help but notice the massive amount of powder going straight to the filters. Looks like you are using at least twice the pressure I use. I'm usually around 4psi to 6psi and it's a full load with only about 10% or so lost to the filter. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. VEVOR pot system with fluidizer.

    • @CGT80
      @CGT80 Před 2 lety

      I kind of agree, and think you have to look at the big picture of a project. If there is real chrome nearby, forget PC chrome, but if you just want something shiny and silver it is OK. I haven't cleared over chrome yet, just used it under candy powders. Ultimate Chrome looks decent on it's own but still not as clear as real chrome. I wonder how the chrome compares to the silver colors out there, which I also haven't used as I am just a beginner. Maybe a solid or metallic silver would look better for contrast even if it isn't close to real chrome. Silver wheels look like they were meant to be that way vs. a sorry attempt at a real chrome look.
