    I enjoyed Agent Elvis for the same reasons you guys do. Out of the box + finding new fans. Overall it’s a fun show

    I got an idea for Elvis cartoon never to make one ever again because he’s not a cartoon character. He’s a real life human being.

    I was surprised about the adult approach the series took, but got use to it by episode two. I liked the entire series. The animation was good and it made me laugh. I, also, liked the historical people and places they referenced, but I lived through that time and get it. Many younger people had no reference point and couldn’t get the jokes. I have been an Elvis fan for 58 years and think that some people get caught up in some image of Elvis. Some think he was a saint. He was just a man. I don’t know how many people made comments on other channels about Elvis using profanity. Insisting that Elvis would not talk like that. There is enough audio/ video out there of him cursing to show otherwise. Great singer. Great entertainer. But just a person like all of us. It doesn’t stop my near obsession with the man, though.🙂. When I die, my daughters will be surprised by the vinyls, CDs, and memorabilia in this house. I envision them looking at each other and one stating, “ We should have put mom on meds long ago.”

      No he wouldn’t because he doesn’t like idiots making fun of him some of them most disgusting things that have happened in commemorating out and this is one of them and that stupid agent Elvis cartoon. Thank God Netflix had a good sense to cancel it.

      I think Elvis would certainly have enjoyed aspects of the show, but absolutely not others - mostly because this humor is aimed at a demographic that's pretty different from his tastes in some ways.

      @@EAPSocietyI agree. I don't think he would have liked the drug humor. I don't think he would have minded the sexual stuff. Cuz as you know our guy Elvis was a freak lol. He definitely would have loved the being an agent aspect.

    They missed a trick not making an Elvis themed video game the only one I know of was Search For The King from the 90s. Agent Elvis alienated a lot of the more conservative fans. It wasn't as bad asg I feared but not as good as I hoped. I don't see anyone screaming for Season 2

    Tbh I just cracked up watching it. Scatter was out of control but funny. I still haven't finished watching it I think. I may have to go back and watch it again. The swearing took time to get use to but Elvis swore so it was funny in the end.

      Yeah, I'd say give it a full watch, and then possibly a second - the show was much more enjoyable (for me, anyway) after I was acclimated to what they were doing.

    I enjoyed the concept of it but overall something was missing. What should have been missing were some of those sexual acts from the chimp. I did watch it all but glad there will not be another . At least it did not portray him as a moody , disturbed person which some of the old television shows have.

      Hi, Pat! Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by how able Elvis was - because, as you said, that was basically how Elvis was often portrayed!

    I agree, writers lazy, didn't capture him and anything that Priscilla is involved in will be terrible. She only interested in making money off her ex whom she left 50 years ago and had no input really into him and his career. Her movie was terrible, awful directing and boring, only one sided about her being the victim and him bad. So sick of her lies. The book Child bride more to the truth than anything. It's easy to find her lies and B.S. she never mentions her affairs that started in 1968 with other men. She took him back to court after original agreement signed and put a lien on Graceland 2 weeks before he died, put Lisa in Scientology cult, and so much more. I wish someone would do a new documentary about the real him, his vocal ability in so many genres, his fashion on and off stage, dance moves, charisma, stage presence, his faith and gospel music was him first, his kindness, generosity, giving to charities, his sense of humor, his inherited illnesses, he crossed racial barriers and opened the door for black artists, he did not steal music, so ridiculous.

      Couldn’t agree more anything Priscilla comes out with about Elvis is always going to be crap. The Priscilla movie agent Elvis Elvis and Me just as proof. The only good thing about agent Elvis is she finally got it in her brain a southern actor to play his voice in agent Elvis yes Elvis was a southern her ex-husband. Oh congratulations she finally got that right about Elvis He’s not a Yankee. He’s a southerner

    Somehow this fans are you doing is sitting there mocking him mocking harum-scarum mocking Elvis songs you’re pathetic is that what it is to be an Elvis fan these days is to make a mockery of him

    • @EAPSociety
      @EAPSociety  Před 6 dny +1

      Lorraine, if you can't tell the difference between fans poking gentle fun out of love and respect vs people mocking Elvis to belittle him, then that's on you, full stop. Normally, I see where people are coming from - even when they make misguided comments - but you're just not reading any of this correctly.
      Was Elvis "mocking" his song "Don't Cry Daddy" when he changed lyrics as a joke during the 1970 rehearsals? No - he was just goofing around with it. Same thing here. My mother and grandmother made that outfit in 1998, and while I joke around a bit, don't ever get it twisted; I love that damn thing.
