Travis in the last year have ascended to become one of my favourite bands. And once the news came out last year they were going to support The Killers on the U.K and Irish Rebel Diamonds Tour I soon picked up tickets. I originally went for Travis but as the concert came up I began listening to The Killers. This was my first ever concert experience, and to get this out of the way, both bands were brilliant. I recorded Travis’ support set on my phone as there was no chance I was going to be able to capture The Killer’s 2-hour set. Travis’ setlist contained mainly their best-known hits, but did include Alive, a brand new song from their upcoming album, L.A Times. Turn was also played in place of another song off L.A Times, but was a brilliant surprise for me. Anyways, considering this was my first concert and recording, it’s pretty rough. My phone’s auto-suppression to quite a lot of volume fluctuation, and I also recorded small snippets on video so there is small cuts on Sing, Side, Flowers in the Window and Why Does It Always Rain On Me. But, I was there to enjoy the show, both bands were fantastic, and it’s a night I will not forget. For the Oasis fans, Fran talks amusingly about Liam and Oasis before Side.
