Hey. Need to thank you yet again. Your videos on the pb3000s are a reason I took the plunge and picked two up. They are outstanding and perfect for me. Really appreciate all that you do for the community.
Thanks! I have been thinking about purchasing either of these 3000 series subwoofers, so can't wait for you to do a full review.
I recently added two PB3000s. Love them. Giant step up from my Klipsch 12s and 15s.
I own the SB2000 in piano black. Ordered it through SVS Outlet Store to save $. The description stated it had a few scratches on the side of the sub. When the sub delivered and I opened it up, I realized, I had received a BRAND NEW SB2000. Sweet! Thanks SVS.
Great sub for small to mid-size rooms. Used primarily in a 2 channel setup but “rocks” my small 11’ x 11’ x 9’ dedicated man cave/listening room. I own a pair of Focal bookshelves and this sub definitely “fills-in” the low-end blanks of a bookshelf speaker.
Great looking subs man! I always love that build, and finish quality. Great packaging to protect them during shipping. Great video as always man!
Certainly appreciate it
I am glad I was born to witness your review SB/PB-3000 on this day! And you beat Chris to the punch. Ha
Great inbox video Youthman!!!
Another awesome video! I love your channel
Thank you RedScar.
I won a Klipsch SW-112 on eBay for 158.50 in an auction a few days ago. and it should be here between now and 3pm! im literally so excited right now. I've always wanted an svs sub, but I figure 1-3K could pay for a better tv or receiver.
I just wanted to ask how does the pb-3000 sound, when you plug the ports, essentially making a pb sub woofer a sealed sub?
Excellent and informative! Thank you
I have the SB love them . Can’t wait for the results
No. 1 Great video as always!!
Thank you Antony
You think stacking 2 PB3000 on top of one another would be fine, Im currently in a apartment and only have space for one but purchased 2 so I have them once I have move into a house.
I've been waiting for your review of those two Klipsch's 15" subs.. When will you do review of those, or have you already done it(then i missed it totally)..?
hello I'm a happy owner of a Sennheiser ambeo sb01 soundbar and I thought about adding a svs sb 4000 subwoofer to improve the bass in my room. my room is 27 m 3 do you think the svs sb 4000 subwoofer is too excessive or is it ideal for this size?
Youth man .. one quick question , have been following your channel quite awhile , ... Planing to add one Svs SB3000 to my 7.1.4 system to .2 for duo sub ...
But question is my current sub is PolkAudio HTS12 a 12" sub .. will it have issue matching both sub .. ??
Nice... I am very interested in the SB3000 to see how it performs. That is a super small footprint that would look nice in most living spaces. Beautiful finish on it!
Did you get a chance? I'm looking to either get dual sb2000 pros or dual sb3000s?
@@juandoe7802 nope, haven't tried either
Great overview! Still enjoying those Valencia seats I see.
Oh yes! They are a huge upgrade from my previous seats.
Wow! the two subwoofers are excellent. I particularly like ported subwoofer.
If they are similar to the SB16 vs PB16, I will likely prefer the PB3000 over the SB3000 for the sheer output.
Youthman this an other question but what your thinks best to do order two klipsch r115sw or one ultra pb 16 ultra or one psa 3611s , I want it for Home tehater and music. My setup is tv lg oled 65,onkyo rz3100, 2 klipsch-rf III,1 klipsch 6ii, 4 klipsch 502s and 4 onkyo skh 410. For the moment I Have 1 subwoofer xtz 12.16, and I want to get more base:) Like to change my atmos to have you some Good speaker to tips. High mounth I do on the Wall
Center klipsch rc-64 ii
Have you ever got a chance to review the SVS PC 2000 or the SVS PC4000? I am strongly leaning towards one of the two.
I have not reviewed any PC subs.
Which do you think would be better for a large living room home theater, two sb3000’s or two pb2000 pro’s?
I have not heard the PB 2000 yet but if you have a large living room, I would 100% suggest ported subs. They provide a lot more output than sealed subs. I can use sealed in my setup since I have (4) 18’s and they provide massive amounts of output.
Nice, I’m boxing I know your video is 3 to 4 years old but it was nice to see it even though I do have the SB 3000 and from my experience the SB 3000 is amazing and the base is so accurate. The SB3000 can go toe to toe with that PB 3000 any day
Ported subwoofers Have too much port noise in blowed it bass frequencies for me. I don’t care for that.. nice video review
Hi guys what do you think about svs pb 2000 PRO is it worth buying to my klispch rp 6000f home cinema theatre?
I have not reviewed that particular model. I reviewed the PB 3000 and it’s a fantastic subwoofer
Other than ported or sealed i thought these were basically same sub until i seen the near 400.00 difference
What about each does that extra cost entail?
Is it just the size/real estate difference?
i am new to subs and have just over 24 hours in researching,i have been leaning to sealed as i have read the transience/speed is much better on sealed, but if i sealed the ported would that improve the transience/speed to match the smaller sealed?
i cannot figure what the extra 400.00 will get me for the ported, but i bet you can explain it mate:)
i keep finding videos of you talking about these 2 subs
Cheers
Hi I have 2 Svs sb 16 subwoofer up from wanted to know would a Svs sb 3000 would give me a little more bass in the back of my room my room size is 30 feet long 23 feet wide 9 foot cellings will the sb 16 be ok with adding the Svs sb3000 for the back
Adding multiple subs can provide more even bass response from seat to seat. I would recommend using REW and a MiniDSP to optimize what you have and to see if you have any major nulls.
Youthman I had that check there was a little nulls but I notice when I had my klipsch subs I had 2 up front and 1 in the back I got that bass from the back but wanted to see if y experience having 2 up front and a sub in the back thought adding this Svs -but 3000 would give me more
Thanks for great review ....
Thank you
Please Please can you Do a sound test with Music and Movies with the SVS SB-3000 that would be great, Thanks good videos, !
Would the sb3000 be a noticeable upgrade from the sb2000?
Not sure as I have not heard the SB2000
Nicely done video as usual, if I lived in the US I'd definitely be trading in my two pc2000's for two pb3000's... Oh well. Don't get me wrong I'm more than happy with the performance of the pc2000's but who wouldn't want more bigger badder subs if they could lol. Looking forward to the reviews. 👍
Thanks Richard
Dual SB-3000 vs Single PB-3000 for a 1506 cubic feet room with an exclusive preference for HT movie watching? No more than 2 people on a couch, no multi seating at anything. Currently running a single SB-3000 and want more base as it's working close to its limits at my listening levels
Hey there Youth Man! I happen to own dual pb3000 have absolutely love them I have a 1500 square-foot entertainment area in the basement and it absolutely rocks.
Very cool James. I’m looking forward to hearing them this weekend.
Same! Love them.
When will the Klipsch Subwoofer review be posted?
I will be spending some significant time with them this weekend. Hopefully take some REW measurements too
i really like the dsp, just hope i can install the application on my pc and it also comes with a ir remote, don't want to fiddle around with my phone.
Can you run apps on your computer? If not, I’m not sure you will be able to control it without your phone or a tablet.
I love using my phone with the SVS app. It was designed specifically for it and is laid out very nicely on mobile devices
apps is maybe the slang for mobile applications. i can work with using mobile for some eq and setup, but as a remote i keep my mobile far away and don't like to use the radiation from bluetooth and wifi.
Cool video. Can't wait til you crank it those puppies up...!
Thanks! Should be this weekend
Same. I just hope it's an honest review and not another youtube shill video.
Thanks Commander. I always try to share the good, the bad and at times even the ugly. I never will bash a product or company but I have shared in previous videos any shortcomings I have found in a product.
@@Youthman You do a great job. SVS is for sure the subs to beat now, but they have their shortcomings too. I'm surprised JL Audio hasn't been more competitive with them price wise. JL makes an awesome sub but price wise you pay a premium. SVS is a good alternative to the many internet direct fly by night sub builders too.
SVS and JL both make great subs but definitely are on the higher end price wise for features and cosmetics. Subs like HSU night offer a better value but they don’t look as nice to me.
which is better if u had to buy one only? and your priority is lots of deep bass?
PB3000 will give you more output. That would be my vote.
@@Youthman thank u sir!
Can you add a few more product links in your description please. Possibly a few snowblowers or food processors?
Glad someone said it... I've been looking for a good recommendation on a food processor!
If you have one that you recommend, I’ll add it for you. 😀
In all seriousness, you don’t have to click on any of them. They are there as a free way that my viewers can support the work that I put into this channel.
@@Youthman It was friendly sarcasm. Try not to be so thin skinned bud.
Thin skinned? I wasn’t offended at all thus the 😀 in my initial post.
Why $400 difference between the two?? Also - on a separate point. Does the crossover on the sub work when connected via LFE? I was told it doesn't because your AVR does the crossover. True ?
I have heard both Les so honestly I’m not sure. I always thought if you plug into just the LFE it bypasses the internal crossover so you would use just your receivers crossover.
@@Youthman That's what I thought (logically). If you use the speaker input and output hook up - that is where the subs crossover would work.
@@YouthmanYou can use the crossover on the sub in addition to using your receiver to set the crossover. It's known as "cascading crossovers". If you want to cascade crossovers, the idea is that you set the crossover on the sub to the same crossover set on your receiver, as well as setting the LPF for LFE on your receiver to the same frequency too (for example all 3 set to 80Hz). What this does is cause a steeper roll-off above the chosen frequency. This gives the subwoofer some more headroom--amongst other things.
You can learn more in section "III-C: Cascading Crossovers" in the following link: www.avsforum.com/forum/113-subwoofers-bass-transducers/2958528-guide-subwoofer-calibration-bass-preferences.html#IIIC
With that being said, the more common practise is only using your receiver to set the crossover and setting the crossover on the sub to LFE or bypass.

My SB3000 has arrived! it's a proper bass monster in my room! it absolutley blows the Velodyne DD+10 out of the solar system
I would expect it to. The DD10 is probably 15 years old? Great sub in its day. I have owned Velodyne CT-100, an F1500 and a pair of HGS15’s
@@Youthman More like 10 I think, it's the DD+ and that range seem to have common driver issues (being the reason I'm sending it back for refund) I've hardly stopped smiling since I switched it on yesterday ! now I'l have to find excuses to watch your reviews lol
I know this is SVS and I know I'm gna get hated on for this but......... How them dual R115SW's coming along.
LOL. No hate from me. I can appreciate a variety of manufacturers. I’m hoping to do some extensive testing with them this weekend
@@Youthman Lol!! Thanks Youthman. Cant wait for that one. Thanks for your videos 👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for your support!
I’m returning the SB 1000, just ordered 2 PB 1000’s. My room is a little over 5000 cubic ft. SVS told me I should love the performance! Can’t wait
I did the same with Dual SB16. Returned them and bought Dual PB16’s.
I just returned the sb 3000 and kept the dual pb1000s instead. Both sound great but I prefer the sound of the duel pb1000s over one SB3000. Im sure duel SB3000 sound amazing especially with music but it's out of my price range. And the sealed sub bothered my ears for some reason. The pb1000s are a lot of fun with movies that go low like overlord. That movie is a subwoofer party
eja35oz that’s good to know. I can’t wait to hear them. How are they with music? My room is very large but very tight and insulated.
Testakleez 37 at first I was A little disappointed when I first plugged them in and listen to a few tracks. But after a little calibrating to my liking I began to really like them. The sb was just so precise with its bass that I may have just gotten use to that. The pb just has a very diff sound but once I got use to that sound I was actually disappointed when I plugged the SB3000 back in for a day for one last listen. I returned the SB3000 the next day lol... The feeling I get in movies from the low hitting bass of pb1000s outweigh the clean precision bass I enjoyed in music with the sb3000
eja35oz I used to have aParadigm 14” ported sub and for the room size I had in that house, it was great for movies, but fell short for music. I’m hoping with two of the PB 1000’s, it will work out. I thought of having an sb and a pb to get best of both worlds but I don’t know how that would turn out. Tuning could be a pain.
Just hit the like button before I even watched this!
Thanks!
More to come
They remind me a little of the SB & PB 13 Ultra's. Except the PB 13 Ultra is much bigger & heavier. Nice video. I just wish you had a remote for the PB 13's?! Man it was hard setting these up once you got them both in place and trying to adjust the sound!!! An absolute nightmare it was!!!!
They can be controlled through the SVS app.
@@loganf6517 Yeah, I know. I was talking about PB 13 Ultra's. They can't be controlled with an app. To adjust those big boys? You have to move them!
@@gsmd770 Ah gotcha.
Duel pb 3000s against R115sw, s would be a good mash up
Hey man please tell me wich is bêtter for movies sb or pb i want it only for movies nothing else waiting your answer!!!🙏🙏🙏🙃
Ported subs have more output and are great for movies so PB would be my choice.
@@Youthman thank you 😁 and last question my leaving room is 17 square metres 5m*3.30m +2.90m high what subwoofer you recommend for high quality i want the couch shaking pb2000 or pb3000 i just want to warn you im gonna take 2 subs so waiting you final answer 😁😍
Dual PB3000 should provide enough tactile bass in that size room.
@@Youthman thank you so much buddy im.gonna take dual pb3000 i hope to skaking all my house mu body everything 😍 and because i have prime towers and denon x4700h im gonna take calibrator man to do all the work right you took calibrator for your home theater or you done all the job alone?😁
SVS also has a 45 day return policy so you can always upgrade to a larger sub if you feel the need
Even though the sb3000 classed as compact in subwoofer's terms, it is not really as compact as you've heard or seen on screen. It is a the biggest of the sb1000; sb1000 pro; sb2000; sb2000 pro and the sb3000 micro.
The sb3000 is the most powerful and it projects huge outputs in comparison of all its junior sealed siblings next to the sb4000. It is ideal for mainly movie lovers in a relatively large room. It is an overkill for small room to be honest. This is a 13" driver not 12".
I've got one in a small room and it rattles the walls and its volume extends to the lounge and bathroom areas. I have to leave my bedroom door opened to disperse some of its energy. I haven't opened all its volume yet to avoid eviction.
Naaaa, look how cute te little SB is
I know right! 😂
I just ordered that one Friday
Awesome! Let me know how you like it once you get it setup
Oh yeah definitely will
Thanks
1 pb 16 ultra or two pb3000s?
Depends on room size and your needs. The PB3000 is t the PB16 but dual PB3000 would sound fantastic and give you smoother bass response throughout your room. Dual PB3000 would likely be an awesome setup unless you have a massive room. Then Dual PB16 or something from Power Sound Audio or JTR would be in order
@@Youthman Thanks for the quick response, love your videos. My room is about 2500 cubic feet. I am leaning towards the dual PB 3000s. The fiancee would be happier with smaller footprint as well.
Got mine’s today
Whoohoo! Congrats
Thanks to your videos I was able to push the button. Now I just need help setting it up this monster
Aqui no Brasil não tem esse aparelho de som se tivesse eu ia comprar um é muito lindo
The PB3000 Subwoofers run for $1599 a pc! GEEZ!
No subwoofers were harmed in the making of this video
At least not in this video. Can’t make that promise for future videos 😂
I have a pair of the SB-3000 units, still messing with them, as they are a totally different beast vs a ported sub. I will more than likely stick with sealed subs from now on. The bass on these things is different than the pair of ported PB-1000 subs they replaced. And I have had bigger SVS subs along with Velodynes... The difference is the sealed enclosure. The bass, to my ears is more refined, tighter and deeper. No chuff or that occasional boomieness.
With music and a pair of SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers they work like they were meant to be together. Much more depth and more dynamics. Where the ported subs were a bit slow and delayed in their response. I have had two others say the same, the sealed subs are much better sounding. And low, these will go low... Especially at low volume, sonically they can be heard through walls and running shower water at a low casual listening level. My Denon X4400H volume level was set at around 28 or so and I could hear the bass while taking a shower, my ported subs never did that. I tamed that out, I think. Would not want that in an apartment. LOL! I had Fox News on, they and Fox Business are heavy with bass, kind of my reference for tuning in the TV. The SB-3000 or SB-4000 subs are worth a shot, if you have never had a sealed sub, they are worthy of a listen.
I really liked your experiences between sealed vs ported, Is a single sb3000 enough for 2800sqf open living room?
@@agenbomzon2598 I would go with a pair. If you cannot swing a pair of SB-3000 go with a pair of SB-2000 subs. Especially if you listen to more music than watching movies. I cannot get over how much of a difference a pair makes along with the sealed subs vs the ported.
Michael Wright trying to decide between dual SB-3000 and single PB-3000. I'm currently running a single SB-3000 in a 1506 cubic feet room and it's playing at its limit at my preferred sound levels. 100% movies, no music. Everyone steering me towards the PB, even SVS themselves, but I just can't decide
a years passed by..do you miss your pb1k's at all? Im now in the same predicament. i have two pb1k's. thinking of getting two sb3k's with a 50/50 on music/movies watching. the 1k's do everything they need to in my given condo space. is my money safe?
Hi youthman I from Andhra I like your video's,give some hair style to your hair being Owner to youthman be youth full
Haha Youthman comes from being a Youth Pastor to teenagers for 23 years. I’m no longer youthful. I just see it as wisdom 😂
People arent gonna choose the sealed sub cause it's small. I think you are misreading this market.
I’m not understanding your statement.
@@Youthman your focus was look "it's cute it's small" "if you live in a small space, if your wife wants this or that", etc, totally missing why someone might choose a $1000 sealed sub versus the ported one. It isn't the size. Sealed subs have sonic advantages. I know of you are mainly obsessed with SPL so it goes over your head. Just pointing that out.
I am fully aware that people choose sealed vs ported for various reasons. Some feel sealed are tighter and more accurate for music. Others like myself like the more tactile feeling you get from ported subs. Some choose based on size of the cabinet. Some want lower extension so they choose sealed. It’s all about preference and what is important to you.
@@Youthman ok yeah, you just didnt say that in your vid. It was like look at cute little thing and heres the REAL sub. It's just a bias on your part. Remember to tell the whole story.
How is giving two possible examples of why someone might want the SB3000 not telling the whole story? If that were the case, I would need to state every single reason why someone “might” purchase it vs the larger PB3000.
I mentioned in the video that I really like the footprint. I had not heard it yet so I couldn’t refer to how it sounds.
If you bought an SB3000 for a reason other than it’s size, that’s great.
Svs split wind voice coil in the 3000 gives it extreme excursion! They are very close to the 4000's and SVS knows it
The only thing that I dislike about this sub is that is ugly woofers, with the center cone to front of the woofer. Please youthman compare who wins klipsch r115sw or this
Spoilers: He likes the ported version much more.
