Hey guys, as others have mentioned, check out the original music video for the song.... Totally ground breaking for the time, and still stacks up brilliantly today.
Can't believe I've never seen that! That was amazing, thanks for insisting we go watch! I remember (back in the day) anticipating release day, and then sitting around the TV with the whole family to watch!
Yes! Please do yourself a favor and watch the video. Michael was all about those short films and this was the first of its time. What a Genius he is!!!!

The Jackson's are the greatest musical group in my opinion Michael Jackson is my all time favorite singer I literally balled when he died because his music meant so much to my life
I cried every year on June 25th since his passing. I still get emotional at times when I think of MJ. He has been treated so unfairly because of his status when all he was was a really concerned and involved humanitarian.
I can still hear Marlon Jackson yelling “Can you feel it?!?!?!” before they sang this during the Victory Tour I went to in Philly! Way back in the day. What a concert! Had to go see it twice ❤️
@@karenmorris5353Every time I hear Martin Luther King's speech, I get goosebumps! He's an excellent man & orator.....Barrack Obama is another. Michael Jackson's lyrics just made it even more powerful!!!
This is the only response I was looking for - thank you Kenny. Heartbreak Hotel is one of the coldest jams ever. From the musical arrangements, the build up before the beat drops, the way MJ's voice sounds other-worldly and LaToya's ear-piercing scream right at the beginning; makes it an absolute masterpiece and classic track!
The Jacksons were really underrated as a group. People know about the Jackson Five, but forget that they became The Jacksons before Michael went solo (Jermaine left the group and little brother Randy filled in). The were a great group. Awesome songs like Can You Feel it, Heartbreak Hotel, Blame it on the Boogie, etc

I went to the Jackson's Triumph concert August 22, 1981, and cried through the whole thing because I loved Michael so much. This record came out before Thriller (December 1, 1982), when Michael really blew up. I was the orginal fan girl at 10 years old. I can feel the tears welling up, just thinking of that concert. Such amazing talent! Visiting the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN was a powerful, moving experience, too. I went as an adult, but learned some new things. My favorite exhibit had information about Black people elected to office after the Civil War, before Jim Crow. The failure of Reconstruction is a part of history that is not taught much. The building across the street from the preserved hotel room houses a part of the museum that explores the assassination. You can enter the small room and see the window that JER shot from. That added some context for me.
I agree about the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel. I stood in the room where MLK stayed and cried like a baby! Every time I hear “Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, we’re free at last” it brings me to tears and reminds me of this great man and his powerful message.
Can You Feel It is one of my favorite songs!!! The original video they did for it in such the early 80s was amazing!! Please react to the original video!!

“Torture” by The Jacksons (w/ the video), “Centipede” by Rebbie Jackson (also w/ the video) - These two songs could only be brought to us by the 80s. 😊
Yes! I just posted not to sleep on Rebbie and Jermaine! You described "Centipede" perfectly, that is definitely a song that seemed to be made for the 80s!

You guys are fortunate to have been taught African American history & about our culture. Where I was raised, nothing would ever happen like that. It was taboo. What you learned was from home. My mother gave us a good start by having us read up on our history. Our field trips were to plantations and civil war BS. I had a chip on my shoulder 😕. I went to college and took a couple of classes in Afro American studies. I moved to Atlanta and was mind blown 😯😀🎉. I missed alot!
I’m glad that you have grasped the opportunity to learn about your story. The fact that our story is deliberately stolen, hidden, in an attempt to destroy it and erase it from human memory is an abomination and offense to the Most High. His- story only begins at slavery, because he wants you to believe that is what you are here for. He reinforces this idea when he tells lies to your vision, he wants you to only see his view of you as we watch their tel-I-vision. Never heard this remix it’s great. This song / album came out after Michael’s solo album Off The Wall, but before Thriller. Think this is the last album he did with his brothers. This song was huge in the clubs but I’m not sure if it hit the Pop Charts. My favorite version of this song. I LOVE MLK! HE DIED FOR HIS PEOPLE! He raised a nation to stand up, be proud and to LOVE EACH OTHER, regardless of race. He stood violences In the face and he fought back with his words, heart, education and awareness. I'm glad he can't see,now what we've done. Actually, I think we need him now, more then ever!!!RIP

Saw the Jackson’s Triumph Tour at the Houston Astrodome. I just remember how they all walked down, one step at a time, with each step lighting up, singing this song. I knew I was witnessing history. RIP Michael Jackson. I still can’t believe he is gone.
Never get over this....still cant believe it still..
I've never heard this song! Thanks, I had no idea there were Jackson songs I'd never heard
I've never heard this mix, but this is definitely my fave Jacksons song.
One of my favorite songs from the Triumph album. I was blessed to see the Triumph tour in 1981 when I was 13. Can you please react to Heartbreak Hotel live in Yokohama.
Love this song and so many others..miss him ..def a favorite version
🔥YES!!!!!! One of the BEST songs they ever did!! This was a huge one on the dance floor!!!
Amen, brothers! More meaningful today than ever!
I use to watch the Jackson 5 every Saturday on TV in the U.K. then in 1989 I was on holiday with my sister in Marbella, Spain, and Michael Jackson was in concert there, so we saw him. Amazing.
I’ve never heard this version before, that’s beautiful. Y’all are right, music brings people TOGETHER. I so wish the world would come together and just be good to each other. Ain’t none of us getting outta here alive so we need to live in peace, accept everybody as they are. 💙💓✌🏼☮️
Love LOVE you two guys! Yes, we need to get beyond color division. Kindness to one another 🙏

I remember watching MTV the first year. When they finally played MJ, the first African American video, I went crazy!! I love him so much & grew up listening to the J5 & MJ. Cannot get better than Dancing Machine, She's Out of My Life, and Who's Loving You

This is one of their best songs ever. You really need to see the music video they produced back in the day to go with it.
