This is the classic version. The lil kim version is dope .. but this right here.....is the REAL HIP HOP.
Facts! I really messed with this track, it’s been on constant repeat all day today lol
Both are "real Hip Hop", equally. Smh
I like the lil Kim version simply cuz Havoc spit on it too
@@dfree1442 play on words goofy
Demo version is the best version.
Kool G Rap featuring Mobb Deep (The Realest)
Yeah, he needs to react to The Realest!!!
@@steamnature Indeed
This song is classic. Mobb Deep was a beast! The production on the Hell on Earth album wasn’t from this world, its one of my favorite albums of all time! Respect to Havoc. Nice reaction!
I agree with you on that. Not sure you know or not so not trying to make assumptions, but this track is off Murda Muzik
@@gdo3510 Haha yeah I already know. But Hell on Earth was my favorite.
@@bryansimpson9858 infamous and hell on earth are both classics
Peep the bassline in the background. That's a sample from "White Lines", the 1983 cocaine joint by Melle Mel.
Good ear
Yeah...this is one of those tracks where the remix doesn’t lose any of the power of the original. But the original is still THAT shit. I wouldn’t say that this is P’s best verse, but it’s up there. He’s got so many killer quotables that I don’t see how anyone could say that.
I definitely need to check out the remix, a lot of people are saying the remix is really dope too.
One-thousand one-hundred CC's on the throttle
He is talking about an 1100 cc engine motorcycle
Yea I’m not familiar with bikes like that so I definitely misunderstood that bar, I appreciate you clarifying that to me fam
@@PRSPR that's why the next line is he peels off chest naked on katanas. Basically zooming on a bike with no shirt on uncrate.com/-2019-suzuki-katana-motorcycle/
Mobb deep "still shinin"🔥🔥🔥
Man! Still Shinin is COLD!!!
Havoc one of the most underrated hiphop producers of all time!!
Agreed!
Easily
Last verse is a Jay Z jab : “ We the streets that’s watching “
When he says CC's he referring to the power of the engine in his dirt bike.
this jawn in the club: "you aint a wildin out for the night fistthrower!"
1,100 CC's (cubic centimeters) on the throttle (large motorcycle engine). I peel off, chest neked on Katanas (Katana is the name of a popular brand of Motorcycle by Suzuki)
The have always came with the domestic flow. There's mobb Deep fans then there's those Mobb Deep fans
Quick backstory in case somebody didn't mention it in here already, Havoc made this beat But he wasn't feeling it and then proud of you. Got to the studio after havoc and Noyd was having a hard time figuring out what to do with it. Prodigy heard the beat and chose to stay in the studio when havoc and Noyd left for a little while. Prodigy quickly sat down and wrote three verses to this beat and had a whole song laid by the time Havoc came back. Prodigy wanted it to be on his first album but the label chose to put the song on the mobb deep album instead. The original version that Prodigy recorded in the studio while Havoc was gone is on CZcams. If you ever want to hear it, it's called Quiet Storm white lines demo. It's more raw, it feels like the pure version, the uncut version that havoc is talking about on the hook of the album version, this version that you reviewed. Reviewed. Sounds like havoc is talking about the original version of this song in this hook, it's so dope how this All came together. Oh and it's "invest in the Rap business" when you wondered what the "rag business" meant
I appreciate you giving me the backstory to this track, definitely will check out the original version. Okay that makes sense, sometimes Genius has mistakes on their lyrics
Prodigy one of the GOATS. ❤️
Uugghhh I needed this man, it was a long fucking day and I'm about to hit more then that like button man.
🔥🌲😤
I feel ya fam, I appreciate you hitting the like button as well 💯💪🏾🙏🏾
Check out Mobb Deep ft. Method Man - Extortion.
Yes sir. As usual I enjoyed hearing your thoughts..Thos is classic and the remix with Lil Kim is classic x 10....
Thank you fam! I'll react to the remix too fam
The original version is raw. It is called White Lines off of a DJ Clue mixtape.
i have never heard a better story teller/songwriter than prodigy, and i've been listening to rap 20 years, love both old and new stuff, but no one can compare to prodigy
I wouldn’t be mad at people putting him in their top 10, he was lyrical af, had a dope voice, and influenced many rappers. Big W for Prodigy praise 💯
@@PRSPR whos your top 5
also if you haven't checked, i'll give you some of what i think are those unheard older hits
cam'ron - where i'm from
big moe - head motion (not bar heavy, but love the music)
stack bundles - throw it up
dilated peoples - worst come to worst
brotha lynch hung - one more pound
and lyrically one of my favorites
lil keke - loved by few hated by many (song)
I don't have a top 5 but I just a have a large group of rappers I really enjoy listening to. What about you fam, who is in your top 5? Thank you for the requests, I'll add them to my list
@@PRSPR same same, but if someone put gun to my head and told me choose, i would go for:
1. prodigy (mobb deep)
2. jadakiss
3. lil wayne
4. south park mexican
5. z-ro
Mobb Deep is like forever my favorite 90s rap
The remix with Lil Kim is really good. Check out Mobb Deep- Win or Lose if you never heard it
I’ll definitely react to both of those tracks, I appreciate the requests
Classic!!!
Another quality video, keep going strong bro
Thank you very much bro, definitely will do 💪🏾
Gang starr - Royalty check it out R.I.P. Guru
Got ya my guy, I mess with Guru heavy
@@PRSPR yeah that song is a straight gem u gotta do it💪🏾
Yo and do EPMD Headbanger featuring Redman and K solo we really forgot how fucking dope EPMD was back then shoutout to Nas for reminding me 💪🏾💯
@Darren Wilson I’ll do a reaction to that song as well, I’ve been meaning to check out EPMD for a minute now
best md song
def watch the video for this because it was good, it was like an action movie
Will do fam
I've always gave Havok his MC props. It's both of them the tag Team that mic and make Mobb Deep
Respect fam!
🔥🔥🔥🔥Mobb Deep
🔥 Amazing video
Thank you fam!
The sample is White Lines slowed down.
Need to check out that track, I appreciate you letting me know the sample
@@PRSPR Melle Mel & Grand Master Flash
All due respect.
Compared to today.
Today is a joke.
Just beats.
No lyrics.
RESPECT.
Agreed 💯
This Murda Muzik album had Quiet Storm on it and the remix of it at the end of the album 🔥
ccs on the throttle...thats the power of a motor on a motorcyv=cle...the power measurement....the throttle is the power on the bike.,,yeah you right
I appreciate you breaking down some of the lines I didn't understand, thank you fam!
Havoc wasn't sure if he should keep that beat. He said he didn't like it but his man big noyd was like hell no you better keep it
Oran Juice Jones - The Rain was a novelty record from a few years earlier ,same beat .
1,100 CC's (cubic centimeters). He is talking about a large motorcycle engine...
This album was strictly murda muzik. My favorite Mobb album with joints like What's Ya Poison, I'm Going Out, Allustrious, Adrenaline, Where Ya Heart At, Murda Muzik, The Realest with Kool G Rap, It's Mine with Nas and of course Quiet Storm. Listen to it when you get a chance - it will not disappoint.
It’s crazy cus this album gets overshadowed by their previous ones, just goes to show their impact at that time. Timeless music
This kid is on point
Much love 💯🙏🏾
You should do Mobb Deep
"Burn" 🔥 🔥
Same album... Do Allustrious!!!
Havoc is such as underrated Producer.
🎤🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎤🎤
He was talking about a motorcycle 1000 cc
This is a song where u need to watch the music video to even appreciate P even more.
I definitely need to check out the video, I didn’t react to the video because I was told the audio is the clean version in the music video
@@PRSPR just ran into your channel and watched like 15 videos no lie. Noticed there is no Fuggies. You should react to "Ready or Not", "Family Business" or "Cowboys". I mean Lauryn Hill verses are better than most male rappers you ever known.
Prodigy keep it thoro.check the video out.word up son
Original one no doubt
This is a classic! The version featuring Lil Kim is better in my opinion. But you doing some great songs!
Disagree, the original goes way harder than the one with Kim. Much respect to the queen tho
Cool🤪😎👍
Thank you fam!
The rag business/clothing
Yo! Great reaction! You should react to "Where ya Heart at" - Mobb Deep (from the same album)
My Guy Prs Yo You No Idea How Classic This Song It's Ridiculous Lol And The Remix ?? I'll Just Leave at that Prs 😄😄😄
Heard the beat so many times but nothing like hearing the original song, I can’t wait to check out the remix. I’ll bring that one soon 💯
@@PRSPR Bett u know I'm tuned in and a little history for you my dude that Bassline in the song actually comes from Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five Song Called Whites Lines (Don't Do It)
Speaking of lil Kim, check out Aunt Dot. Wanna tlk about word play lol.....Aunt Dot is a must
👍👍👍👍
💯💯💯
First I love your acc
Much love fam, thank you!
Definitely in P’s top 20, check out P’s bars on the track mobb did on the sunset park soundtrack… keep it thorough and genesis off HNIC
yo bro u should react to Prodigy's ...:I Keep It Thoro".... hot shit son!!!
Will do bro, I been meaning to check out early Prodigy solo work
The original is way better than the remix.... P snapped
Make sure remix is uncensored too
Got ya fam, that's why most of the time I just react to the audio over the video
You gotta do the remix with Lil Kim...
nice job choosing the album version. it's waaaaaaaaay better than the video version imo.
Def check out the remix💯💯💯 This version is dope but I just prefer the remix!! #Enjoy✌🏾🖤
Will do!
React to where ya heart at off this album yea that lil Kim version was dope I'd react to the music video on that one it's uncensored
I got ya fam, thank you for letting me know that the music video is uncensored as well
My bad it is censored but it's not that bad for being censored
Listen to the remix with lil kim!!!!
React to M.O.P Ante up
One thousand one hundred cc's on the throttle is referring to a motorcycle. A big one. You peeling out when you whipping an 1100.
Tupac - Changes.......so relevant now more than ever
have you heard jid new song? you should react to it if you haven’t, he just never disappoints
I’m bout to react to it now fam 💯 That shit got blocked but I really mess with that track for sure
original is much better imo, great reaction
Noooo Kim made this song legendary you sleeping on it
lol
love this song but its fucked up that hav didnt get a verse
What’s funny was that I was waiting for a Havoc verse, I was high key disappointed he didn’t have one but Prodigy did his thing so I can’t complain
@@PRSPR Yea i agree, atleast he got one one the remix
The good version but the little Kim version is much better... either way phat ass Hip Hop.
He was never number 3 you have big daddy kane and rakim LL, Big , KRS1
I guess people were just referring maybe during that year implying he had a good run
Prefer the original!
Prodigy is infinitely better than Gayz lol
Strong take but I like it 💯 I personally like Prodigy better because he’s more real in my eyes. But being honest I haven’t listened to much of Jay’s and all of P’s shit to compare the two, funny thing is Jay copied the same sample used on The Story Of OJ from Prodigy’s Stronger but he gets all the praise for that beat because he’s Jay smh
@@PRSPR nah jay was really out there pushing for real
I don’t mean real in the street life, I believe Jay was in the streets. I mean Prodigy was more real in the sense he didn’t sell out for fame. There is a reason why Jay-Z has the connections he has plus you should go read the letter Prodigy wrote about Jay-Z when he was in prison, Prodigy knew what was going on in the world and spoke about that shit in his music while other artists stayed silent for the money and fame
@@PRSPR I was around in 95/96. Pee was the illest at that time. It was Mobb and WU. No one listened to Jayz. Ppl only started checking for him after the machine hyped him up. Jayz got on thru marketing, not music like Pee. Fuck Jayz. He has 1 half good album thats it lmao. Mobb deep have 1 of the deepest and strongest 3 catalogues in the game with Pac and Nas. And yes P & Pac are 2 of the realest cats to ever touch the mic and thats why they deaded both in the same fucking hospital ffs
@@PRSPR man you talking about the illuminati? Lol Prodigy had fame too. So just because jay blew up more he sold his soul? Come on man. Plus r.i.p to him, but prodigy was known to lie for clout
Definitely not his hottest verse
That’s crazy, that just must mean he has so many verses that can be considered his best
@@PRSPR not even close to his hottest.
