  • In this video I want to shed insight on my own experience as well as watching other experiences transpire through the years. Mostly because I always hear proud tell me they’re “growing their hair out to start locs” and usually the hair is already there.
Anyway, I’m finished hearing it and editing and writing on the subject. I’m going I can figure out how to attach a video on there… let’s see what kinda tech smart shit I can or can’t do.
    Happy loc’ing

Having locs has facilitated my hair growth and health. It emphasizes texture for my fine hair, and gives it more weight. My hair is longer with locs than it has ever been without. Start with good strong roots, that is all you need.

Oh for sure it is! It also takes out a whole lot of steps that are unnecessary

    Hey Doc,
You are spot on, of course, about the shrinking. I shaved the neck row of locs off when I first had them installed like a month out, now the hair on my neck row is loose and three inches long, while my locks look like they have never grown in the ten months I've had them! Now my roots show growth cause I do all the roots rub things you've taught us, but the overall length is the same or shorter 😂! Oy vey🤣 I still love them and how they change everytime I wash them. Thanks again for all your help. You have for sure made my understanding this journey much easier❤

@@locdoctorfell you're actually not all that far away from me. I'm hoping to get over for a maintenance appointment someday in the future. Won't be anytime soon, but I'd love to be a client even once because I'm long distance and just get to meet you. I'm in NW Montana. Maybe someday...

    Hello Doc,
I have thin hair, but i really want dreads. Is getting dreads possible? If my hair is too thin, will they pull it out?
    Love your content 😊

      Very possible.
I’ve put some content out with this topic. (Starter Locs vs 3 years + kinda content) ifb it’s just thin and that’s how it always is, most likely you’d be great to have locs.
(By proxy, locs are a protective style. So fine/thin hair will always thicker and fuller over time with locs)
