according to the Star rail teaser there are dragons spread throughout the universe so Nibelung could have gone to some space alley to get the goods from a dragon dealer and according to Honkai there is a being that hatched from an egg so the primordial one could be from a race of super powerful beings i fkcing hope that the Honkai has something to do with this

I've been thinking that each of the 4 descenders represents a stage of Alchemy. Traveler gold (obvious reasons), Nibelung black (power of darkness), Heavenly Princples/ First who came potentially red (Sustainer having red powers, the hilichurls turning into red embers upon death), and the mysterious Third descender being white (white being capable of separating into the full spectrum of visible light, just as they were separated into the 7 gnoses). Idk what to do with this info other than it potentially explaining the obsession with achieving the end stage of alchemy, a "red" being that could challenge the current "red" being, the heavenly principles

Rene says in his notes that in traditional alchemy, gold is a false reward before reaching the truth - Rubedo - and that only the Khaenri'ans would "seek truth for the sake of gold." By which I take him to mean material benefit, rather than specifically wealth.
tbh I wonder if our sibling was the 3rd descender but they took her will to challenge fate and left her a shell and then used her memories to make up the 7 gnoses which makes it seem like she died because they are her remains but really they are her remains of her will and now she leads the abyss in an attempt to create something else powerful enough to bring back khaenriah
this would also explain why she became "apart of this world" because once she lost her descender status after losing her memories and will to fight she basically just accoustomed to the world

You know, this sounds like the Second _was_ Nibelung, and in his war of vengeance... that was when Teyvat was flipped over? This "upended world" then needed the Divine Nails to keep it secured to the ceiling, so to say. With the world flipped upside down, it was falling apart, things were breaking through the eggshell, and the PO needed to do some hasty DIY repairs. If that was the time Teyvat became upside down, it would be easy to see how it could have been such a destructive event, with even the heavens collapsing, empires falling into the abyss, etc.
The Primordial One, hatched from the virgin dragon king's egg, to bring forth the prophesied humans to Teyvat. This has a lot of potential to explore. It answers some questions, while leaving many more.
The introduction of ur video just reminded me of another theory of video that suggested that the Primordial One is from Teyvat because of how the book of Sun and Moon describes them. I'm pretty sure it never said that the Primordial one came from beyond Teyvat and rather makes it clear that the Primordial one was born in teyvat.
@AverageFurinaEnjoyer The line where it says that the Primordial one was birthed from an egg. It never claims that Phanes's descended to teyvat, unlike the others or the twins. We only believe that to be the case because of Nahida's current theory that the first descender was phanes/the Heavenly Principles. Also, I forgot to mention this in my original comment. The Primordial One was able to be damaged by, potentially, forbidden knowledge, which caused them to seek the power of a descender to hold back the original power of the world, aka the dragons. Why would a being supposedly not from teyvat be damaged by forbidden knowledge when we've seen it be extremely damaging to only the natives of teyvat. On top of that, descenders by default have the power to change the world with no problems at all. It doesn't make sense. Now remember I did say that I came across a theory video that suggested that phanes is a native of teyvat rather than an outlander as everyone else believes. It makes sense if everyone doesn't know that phanes is a native because the book doesn't even know where he came from more than likely because it was written way after all the events played out. Then, the author talks about the war with the dragons in a very vague manner. I'll go find the video just to refresh my memory and then tell you who made it so that you can give it a watch.
@@KallaGames347not entirely true. Go back and watch the archon quest right before Nahida talks to Greater Lord Rukka. The traveler is shown to be somewhat affected by forbidden knowledge too. And we know for a fact they’re from beyond this world. For all we know, further exposure to forbidden knowledge could drive the traveler insane as well. We can’t say for certain.
Another great video, and props to you for reviewing your theory and examining its flaws, although the first part of it was sad every time you mentioned the primordial one, and I was quite happy when the music came back. I hope we get more lore about the origins of Teyvat and the first few wars soon enough as we need to piece some stuff together
I do think he hails from another world... but I don't think he's necessarily a "god" in the sense that we think of. I'm starting to think that, along with "My Name For Now", the Second and Third Descenders are the two "heirs" in the gnostic chorus story of the battle pass. Heirs... to the Primordial One. The king in the gnostic chorus. In fact, I'm not sure the "war of vengeance" was between the First and Second Descenders. In Before Sun and Moon, the text states "The second throne of the heavens came, and war was rekindled, as it was in the world's creation." The second throne came. And war was rekindled. We've always assumed it was with the second throne, but maybe the second throne showed up and the war started as a separate event? Maybe Nibelung... just happened to try again right then. I don't think Nibelung is the Sinner, either, because the Sinner seems... to be on humanity's side? I feel like the next Dainslef quest will drop a MAJOR bomb on all of this theorizing, but maybe I'm getting my hopes up too much.
Dainsleif quests always drop a major bomb, but we never know where it will land. Thinking about it, Traveler woke up, and all sort of things came into motion in Teyvat. Perhaps, that's the effect Descenders have on Teyvat's so-called "fate" by their mere existence? Or maybe instability in Teyvat is what somehow calls to Descenders. That would explain how Kaenri'ah summoned the twins. About second who came, I think it's the guy who married a seelie in the palace of the three moon sisters. He seemed to be getting along with heavenly beings just fine, when the Third came and led the dragons against the heavens. Or maybe it's the other way around, and Second Descender sided with dragons, while Third Descender sided with heavens and even sacrificed himself to become the Gnoses.

Just like how Sustainer of Heavenly Principles' arms look wrong, because of some sort of corruption. ...now that I think of it, maybe the arms are right, and the rest of her is an illusion? So many shapeshifters in Teyvat have problems getting the hands and arms right. Caterpillar and Cloud Retainer immediately come to mind.
Nibelung had to leave teyvat in order to obtain FK. how else could he? Stretch his arm all the way into space to grab it as if he's the protagonist of One Piece? There was no FK in teyvat before he obtained it. in fact, having to leave teyvat in order to obtain FK is the perfect reason why sussy stainer stopped the twins from leaving. as in, after seeing nibelung nearly destroying the world with FK, the HP decided to not allow anyone from leaving this world ever again, no matter who they are or where theyre from.
Well, he could have wrote to Amazon and asked for a "Forbidden Knowledge for Dummies" book to be delivered to him. But more likely, he just befriended a proper descender who came from beyond the fake skies, and who already possessed Forbidden Knowledge.

could be, although its worth pointing out, the seelie race partiall inhabited areas the gods didnt have dominion over, so a traveler from "afar" may not necessarily imply they came from beyond this world, but just from teyvat itself. for instance khaenriah does something similar

I think Irminsul's origin is described in "Parable of the Tree". The original tree was cut down to make Celestial Nails and defeat the Forbidden Knowledge with the power and wisdom of the past world. Its cut-off branches were used to grow Irminsul.
theres not enough i think to say either. i personally lean towards irminsul predating the arrival of the heavenly principles because its the root of the dendro element, and given the dendro dragon was here before the principles, then it suggests that Irminsul was also here before they arrived

@DawitsLookingforEmilia in any case, we know that the second fought the first, and we know that both joined forces to make the gnosis. We don't know why. So they were enemies but somehow ended up friends. That fits the sustainer, now defending the rule of the Heavenly Principles. Maybe a second in comand, maybe the one that is actually deciding everything after the HP went to sleep or something that explain why they stopped to be active.

I always understood the first war was the first versus Nibelung and the 7 dragons. Later a second war came, which is between the first and the second. And now there seems to be a third war, with Nibelung coming back with Forbidden knowledge as an act of revenge.

In the process of watching your video everything kinda clicked. There is a possibility that ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe and the 2nd descender were twins (just like us 👀) and came together, and their “war” (if there even was one) happened in private. While the 3rd descender and the second who came, aka ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe, brought forth the nails and then it would make sense why/how the 2nd who came helped ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe fashion gnosi out of the 3rd descender’s body (since the Nibelung died, he couldn’t have helped, so he’s the 3rd descender, not the 2nd one. I was heavily leaning towards the Deshret being the 3rd, if we assume the 2nd was Nibelung, but things didn’t really fit, especially the timing with the gnosi - how could he have been offered one, if he’s the 3rd descender himself?

He could just found a way to take the power back from Celestia and get fooled in the way, but already was in a point without return. Nah bro the real lore comes in next patch. Arlecchino has a cross edged into her eyes instead of a star, it's like she has been marked. No other being in the game has those eyes, cross usually symbolizes a sacrifice. She was supposed to be from Khaenri'ah and ended up the most evil bitch in Theyvat. The star (the primogem symbol) symbolizes the fate system so it means it comes from Khaenri'ah. They messed with fates to the point were everything fell apart. I actually now believe the Khaenri'ahn Irmin is the same person as the Primordial one. The issue was the alchemical art Khemia that rivalled the gods power to create life. The sin Fontaine was judged from was to pore primordial water into Oceanids. The fight originally broke out between Khaenri'ah and Descenders, the Archons were called to stop it. Please note that this was before Celestia was overrun by Descenders which should be when the dragon thrones are overtaken. Pierro is of Khaenri'ahn descent it means the Fatui knows as much as Dainsleif, and he has the ability to tell Tsaritsa. But Pierro is more the catalyst that starts the conflict not an original member of the Fatui. It also sounds like Apep's voice is an echo not her real voice almost like she is a memory and not a physical being. PEACE
Well that all sounds about right and it's more or less what I've thought for a while. Yes the Neuvillette statement about how Nibelung got it a bit wrong is the bow on top. And while I know it's a gag the whole thing about you simping for the Unknown God or doing the music clip evert time you mention the Primordial One, is actually very good lore that many miss. The most obvious facts we know about the 1st and 2nd descenders or thrones is that the first is THE GOOD GUY in some sense and the second is THE BAD GUY. Even Apep frankly says that Nibelung got the "power of darkness". She doesn't sugar coat it. She doesn't attempt to both sides it. She doesn't say well no actually the Abyss and Celestial energy are the same and you're just pushing your colonial values on us indigenous peoples. Neuvillette goes further. Siding with the Abyss? Kind of a mistake. The Chasm loading screen says these forces battle each other. Yes there's a ton of attempts to grey things around the edges but ultimately you have the Good, the Bad and the Neutral (dragons). That's all the way since Enkanomiya. So how on earth do people assume the PO and 2WC ally to make the gnoses? That makes no sense at all. It's because they have no good vs bad moral sense of the game. They have lost track of the PO being the PRIMORDIAL ONE defined as the one who loves humanity. They have seen the Unknown God as the bad guy, and forgotten that even the Abyss folks readily admit they are the evil side. Enjou say it straight up. Repeatedly. Apep agrees. Everyone agrees. From Enkanomiya onward you get the impression of dragons=Indians, PO=British and Abyss=French in the early USA wars. You have these 2 big outside forces that are opposed fighting in the middle of the land that they took from the natives and all the natives can do is ally to one or the other and get crushed. Dragons have a lot of native American vibes. Also the French are always the bad guys (look that up). As for Descenders all coming from outside I think Nahida is correct there. René is incorrect and he fails to become a descender. If Descender simply means someone with a lot of energy (or "will") then Nahida is simply wrong. I don't think they'd have the God of Wisdom being the dumbass. Doesn't much matter anyway since Nibelung can come with a 2nd Descender if he isn't one and as you say it's obviously all the same big war. And not just because they'd run out of moons too fast if they lost one or two every big war. The construction of the description of a Descender as someone who can "make a world, destroy a world, save a world, uphold a world" or whatever the exact wording was.... this refers to each Descender and each associated war. 1. War of the PO arriving (and they do "arrive" or "descend" so from outside Teyvat) - first war - first descender - changes fate - creates the world 2. War of the 2WC arriving (and we're told they come from outside too) - second war - second descender - changes fate - destroying the world (giving it a finite life span instead of cycling) 3. Cataclysm - third war - third descender - changes fate - maintaining the world (meaning that the world was fated to die 500 years ago but this was delayed 500 years) 4. ???? - 4th descender - saving the world Again PO=creator 2WC=destroyer there's no way these guys would work together on a project that is to benefit the PO. Therefore the 3rd is a collaborator with the 1st, another powerful alien and ally to the first, who agrees with their agenda mostly and is associated with the Cataclysm. And that person is most likely the Goddess of Flowers. She's allied with the PO, although her views are not identical they are both pro-human. She's uber powerful in some sense. She has a history in game that heavily hints we'll hear from her again. And she is known to have forseen the Cataclysm and acted to stop it using her sacrifice - just as we know the 3rd descender sacrifices themselves for the good of humanity. It's a decent fit. Because you know I don't want to say Paimon's the 3rd. Most likely Liloupar's lines saying Traveler is like her master is another Chinese pronoun attack and Liloupar means Goddess of Flowers is like Traveler because they are both descenders.
david johnson and I agreeing on a take, the heavens must have collapsed. one thing I wanna clarify though: nahida, despite being the god of wisdom is not all knowing, she has no idea what the purpose of the gnoses are: "The Gnosis, to her, was but a core that gathers a mass of elemental power at her discretion. But if there is nothing more to a Gnosis, why was a god so eager to gather all of them together?" and lets not forget her information on descenders came entirely from fatuus intellegince.
How bout this: Everything Apep says is a lie and the War of Vengeance never happened. At least not quite like this. Remember how Scaradouche originally killed all those blacksmiths, but when he erased himself from Irminsul it was blamed on some other dude instead? Yeah. The only ever mention of the Second Who Came is in Before Sun and Moon. A book which we recovered from Enkanomiya, a place within the Dark Sea which lies beyond the purview of Celestia. Someone had to be responsible for all that destruction after all, Irminsul ain't gonna bother erasing the entire war. Suppose same could be true for Nabu Malikata. It's said she's been wandering the "wastes" for a while after shit went down, and in drunkards tale it is mentioned that the wolf met a Seelie in human form somewhere in the Dark Sea. So maybe she was out of town, which would explain how she retained her original form and why she remembers only the invaders, but not the dragons.

Could just be part of general effort to hide the existence of descenders and the nature of the PO (though they're really not doing a very good job with that as of late), or maybe part of a Forbidden Knowledge cleanup operation (seems the 2nd was the one who originally brought that stuff to Teyvat to begin with) But the 2nd erasing themselves to hide their coup d'etat could work as well, of course. Honestly not sure how exactly the Irminsul works for descenders, given that at least they themselves aren't affected. But should still contain the memories others have of the descender. So might even be possible to erase all traces of oneself without forgetting themselves, which would certainly have been convenient for the 2nd.
It kinda makes sense for Nibelung to be the sinner we see in Dain's last quest, considering that Nibelung was the first to bring forbidden knowledge from outside Teyvat and use it against Celestia and that also that "sinner" has a WHOLE STASH of it in the back of his car, seemingly being the core of it all
Yes, I've always thought the 1st and the 3rd worked together on the Gnosis. The 2nd was defeared in the war between the 1st and 2nd. Also, I think the 3rd descender is the abyss sibling. He is not a descender anymore after loosing his powers to create the Gnosis
The loading screen message about the Chasm containing two forces that fight, each from beyond the heavens or whatever, is another source saying 1st and 2nd both come from outside Teyvat. Oh here's the fuill message: "The stony halls of The Chasm's depths are the battleground for two powers that surpass this world..."
All this mess with counting of descenders is because descenders and Second who came has different numbers. Second who came in Before sun and moon is Second who came AFTER in original game language. Nuvi told us about First who came AFTER. Therefore we have 3 descenders - 1. Primordial One, 2. First who came after, 3. Second who came after. You know, this sounds like the Second _was_ Nibelung, and in his war of vengeance... that was when Teyvat was flipped over? This "upended world" then needed the Divine Nails to keep it secured to the ceiling, so to say. With the world flipped upside down, it was falling apart, things were breaking through the eggshell, and the PO needed to do some hasty DIY repairs. If that was the time Teyvat became upside down, it would be easy to see how it could have been such a destructive event, with even the heavens collapsing, empires falling into the abyss, etc.

This has a lot of potential to explore. It answers some questions, while leaving many more.
The introduction of ur video just reminded me of another theory of video that suggested that the Primordial One is from Teyvat because of how the book of Sun and Moon describes them. I'm pretty sure it never said that the Primordial one came from beyond Teyvat and rather makes it clear that the Primordial one was born in teyvat.

The line where it says that the Primordial one was birthed from an egg. It never claims that Phanes's descended to teyvat, unlike the others or the twins. We only believe that to be the case because of Nahida's current theory that the first descender was phanes/the Heavenly Principles.
Also, I forgot to mention this in my original comment. The Primordial One was able to be damaged by, potentially, forbidden knowledge, which caused them to seek the power of a descender to hold back the original power of the world, aka the dragons.
Why would a being supposedly not from teyvat be damaged by forbidden knowledge when we've seen it be extremely damaging to only the natives of teyvat. On top of that, descenders by default have the power to change the world with no problems at all. It doesn't make sense.
Now remember I did say that I came across a theory video that suggested that phanes is a native of teyvat rather than an outlander as everyone else believes. It makes sense if everyone doesn't know that phanes is a native because the book doesn't even know where he came from more than likely because it was written way after all the events played out. Then, the author talks about the war with the dragons in a very vague manner.
I'll go find the video just to refresh my memory and then tell you who made it so that you can give it a watch.

And we know for a fact they’re from beyond this world. For all we know, further exposure to forbidden knowledge could drive the traveler insane as well. We can’t say for certain.

About second who came, I think it's the guy who married a seelie in the palace of the three moon sisters. He seemed to be getting along with heavenly beings just fine, when the Third came and led the dragons against the heavens. Or maybe it's the other way around, and Second Descender sided with dragons, while Third Descender sided with heavens and even sacrificed himself to become the Gnoses.

I think Irminsul's origin is described in "Parable of the Tree". The original tree was cut down to make Celestial Nails and defeat the Forbidden Knowledge with the power and wisdom of the past world. Its cut-off branches were used to grow Irminsul.

So they were enemies but somehow ended up friends. That fits the sustainer, now defending the rule of the Heavenly Principles. Maybe a second in comand, maybe the one that is actually deciding everything after the HP went to sleep or something that explain why they stopped to be active.

I always understood the first war was the first versus Nibelung and the 7 dragons. Later a second war came, which is between the first and the second. And now there seems to be a third war, with Nibelung coming back with Forbidden knowledge as an act of revenge.

In the process of watching your video everything kinda clicked. There is a possibility that ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe and the 2nd descender were twins (just like us 👀) and came together, and their “war” (if there even was one) happened in private. While the 3rd descender and the second who came, aka ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe, brought forth the nails and then it would make sense why/how the 2nd who came helped ThE pRiMoRdIaL oNe fashion gnosi out of the 3rd descender’s body (since the Nibelung died, he couldn’t have helped, so he’s the 3rd descender, not the 2nd one.
I was heavily leaning towards the Deshret being the 3rd, if we assume the 2nd was Nibelung, but things didn’t really fit, especially the timing with the gnosi - how could he have been offered one, if he’s the 3rd descender himself?

couldn't nibelung "lost" his battle against his own mind when consumed by the darkness, and after the war, sacrificed himself to create the gnosis since he knew he was wrong? we know when people are in contact with the dark mud of the chasm, which is essentialy forbidden knowledge in another form, they start to say nonsense things that's not their own memories, but from others.
also, i never see someone discussing about renè notes about the descenders saying in order "protect the world, sustain the world, destroy the world, and create the world", couldn't this be the will of each descender, in this exact order, or maybe in reverse?

He could just found a way to take the power back from Celestia and get fooled in the way, but already was in a point without return. Nah bro the real lore comes in next patch. Arlecchino has a cross edged into her eyes instead of a star, it's like she has been marked. No other being in the game has those eyes, cross usually symbolizes a sacrifice. She was supposed to be from Khaenri'ah and ended up the most evil bitch in Theyvat. The star (the primogem symbol) symbolizes the fate system so it means it comes from Khaenri'ah. They messed with fates to the point were everything fell apart. I actually now believe the Khaenri'ahn Irmin is the same person as the Primordial one. The issue was the alchemical art Khemia that rivalled the gods power to create life. The sin Fontaine was judged from was to pore primordial water into Oceanids. The fight originally broke out between Khaenri'ah and Descenders, the Archons were called to stop it. Please note that this was before Celestia was overrun by Descenders which should be when the dragon thrones are overtaken. Pierro is of Khaenri'ahn descent it means the Fatui knows as much as Dainsleif, and he has the ability to tell Tsaritsa. But Pierro is more the catalyst that starts the conflict not an original member of the Fatui. It also sounds like Apep's voice is an echo not her real voice almost like she is a memory and not a physical being. PEACE

Well that all sounds about right and it's more or less what I've thought for a while. Yes the Neuvillette statement about how Nibelung got it a bit wrong is the bow on top.
And while I know it's a gag the whole thing about you simping for the Unknown God or doing the music clip evert time you mention the Primordial One, is actually very good lore that many miss. The most obvious facts we know about the 1st and 2nd descenders or thrones is that the first is THE GOOD GUY in some sense and the second is THE BAD GUY. Even Apep frankly says that Nibelung got the "power of darkness". She doesn't sugar coat it. She doesn't attempt to both sides it. She doesn't say well no actually the Abyss and Celestial energy are the same and you're just pushing your colonial values on us indigenous peoples. Neuvillette goes further. Siding with the Abyss? Kind of a mistake. The Chasm loading screen says these forces battle each other. Yes there's a ton of attempts to grey things around the edges but ultimately you have the Good, the Bad and the Neutral (dragons). That's all the way since Enkanomiya.
So how on earth do people assume the PO and 2WC ally to make the gnoses? That makes no sense at all. It's because they have no good vs bad moral sense of the game. They have lost track of the PO being the PRIMORDIAL ONE defined as the one who loves humanity. They have seen the Unknown God as the bad guy, and forgotten that even the Abyss folks readily admit they are the evil side. Enjou say it straight up. Repeatedly. Apep agrees. Everyone agrees.
From Enkanomiya onward you get the impression of dragons=Indians, PO=British and Abyss=French in the early USA wars. You have these 2 big outside forces that are opposed fighting in the middle of the land that they took from the natives and all the natives can do is ally to one or the other and get crushed. Dragons have a lot of native American vibes. Also the French are always the bad guys (look that up).
As for Descenders all coming from outside I think Nahida is correct there. René is incorrect and he fails to become a descender. If Descender simply means someone with a lot of energy (or "will") then Nahida is simply wrong. I don't think they'd have the God of Wisdom being the dumbass. Doesn't much matter anyway since Nibelung can come with a 2nd Descender if he isn't one and as you say it's obviously all the same big war.
And not just because they'd run out of moons too fast if they lost one or two every big war.
The construction of the description of a Descender as someone who can "make a world, destroy a world, save a world, uphold a world" or whatever the exact wording was.... this refers to each Descender and each associated war.
1. War of the PO arriving (and they do "arrive" or "descend" so from outside Teyvat) - first war - first descender - changes fate - creates the world
2. War of the 2WC arriving (and we're told they come from outside too) - second war - second descender - changes fate - destroying the world (giving it a finite life span instead of cycling)
3. Cataclysm - third war - third descender - changes fate - maintaining the world (meaning that the world was fated to die 500 years ago but this was delayed 500 years)
4. ???? - 4th descender - saving the world
Again PO=creator 2WC=destroyer there's no way these guys would work together on a project that is to benefit the PO. Therefore the 3rd is a collaborator with the 1st, another powerful alien and ally to the first, who agrees with their agenda mostly and is associated with the Cataclysm. And that person is most likely the Goddess of Flowers. She's allied with the PO, although her views are not identical they are both pro-human. She's uber powerful in some sense. She has a history in game that heavily hints we'll hear from her again. And she is known to have forseen the Cataclysm and acted to stop it using her sacrifice - just as we know the 3rd descender sacrifices themselves for the good of humanity. It's a decent fit. Because you know I don't want to say Paimon's the 3rd. Most likely Liloupar's lines saying Traveler is like her master is another Chinese pronoun attack and Liloupar means Goddess of Flowers is like Traveler because they are both descenders.

How bout this: Everything Apep says is a lie and the War of Vengeance never happened. At least not quite like this.
Remember how Scaradouche originally killed all those blacksmiths, but when he erased himself from Irminsul it was blamed on some other dude instead? Yeah.
The only ever mention of the Second Who Came is in Before Sun and Moon. A book which we recovered from Enkanomiya, a place within the Dark Sea which lies beyond the purview of Celestia. And possibly beyond the purview of the Irminsul, making it immune to its effects.
There was only one war, and it was between the 1st and 2nd. When the 2nd lost, Celestia wiped every mention of the 2nd from Irminsul, which rewrote history in such a manner as to blame the war on the Dragons and Nibelung. Someone had to be responsible for all that destruction after all, Irminsul ain't gonna bother erasing the entire war.
Suppose same could be true for Nabu Malikata. It's said she's been wandering the "wastes" for a while after shit went down, and in drunkards tale it is mentioned that the wolf met a Seelie in human form somewhere in the Dark Sea. So maybe she was out of town, which would explain how she retained her original form and why she remembers only the invaders, but not the dragons.
but why erase the second from history. i think thatd only make sense if the second who came won the war and decided to frame the dragons afterwards

Could just be part of general effort to hide the existence of descenders and the nature of the PO (though they're really not doing a very good job with that as of late), or maybe part of a Forbidden Knowledge cleanup operation (seems the 2nd was the one who originally brought that stuff to Teyvat to begin with)
But the 2nd erasing themselves to hide their coup d'etat could work as well, of course.
Honestly not sure how exactly the Irminsul works for descenders, given that at least they themselves aren't affected. But should still contain the memories others have of the descender. So might even be possible to erase all traces of oneself without forgetting themselves, which would certainly have been convenient for the 2nd.
It kinda makes sense for Nibelung to be the sinner we see in Dain's last quest, considering that Nibelung was the first to bring forbidden knowledge from outside Teyvat and use it against Celestia and that also that "sinner" has a WHOLE STASH of it in the back of his car, seemingly being the core of it all

All this mess with counting of descenders is because descenders and Second who came has different numbers. Second who came in Before sun and moon is Second who came AFTER in original game language. Nuvi told us about First who came AFTER. Therefore we have 3 descenders - 1. Primordial One, 2. First who came after, 3. Second who came after. My candidats for whocemersafter are Sustainer and Nibelung. I can be wrong.
Also would be nice to see video how you came to conclusion that PO is not from outside? Other people also talking about this but I am confusing with this, how it could be.
