  • www.autobytel.com/nissan/altim... The Altima has undergone a mid-cycle refresh for the 2016 model year which includes a new exterior facelift that puts the looks of the car more in line with the rest of the Nissan models. The mid-size car segment is probably the most competitive segment out there and the Nissan Altima has carved out a piece of the pie thanks to a good looking package, a fuel efficient power plant, at an affordable price. The SV model tested here has a price of $25,460.

    I just bought a 2016 SV. It has every option on it but the heated seats and has the 5 inch screen instead of the 7 inch screen, but coming from a 2008 car with no screen anywhere, it's nice to have. It's quick for a 4 cyl, gets great fuel economy, and is extremely comfortable. I love it.

      Do you still have it ? If so do you recommend it ? And any transmission problems?

    For those of you who hate cvt get used to it. Less moving parts and much better fuel economy. This equals more profits for car makers who use the cvt. You can train a technician how to service a cvt in a third of the time of a regular transmission. Again a money saver.

    I’ve own this car for one year so far. Bought it with 10 miles.. yes ten Miles. Now has 12,000. Has good power. Do I get passed up by others yes but I’m tailing them right behind. This is a family car. Not a race car.

      book b well mind u it was only about 15,000 in when I traded it. So no. No issues. But that’s the reason why I traded is because that year was one of the years that was posted in a settlement for the transmissions to fail

    You do say the Zero-Gravity seats were first introduced in the Murano, they were actually first introduced in the Altima when it was last fully redesigned in 2013. Otherwise, great review! (:

    I am so tired of the complaints about CVT. Who gives a F***. Get over it or buy something else. Damn

  • @DiMo28
    @DiMo28 Před 3 lety +1

    I've been driving this car for 3 plus years and put 80,000+ miles on it. Yes, the CVT is weak. However, the CVT is the reason why I can drive 80 MPH on the highway and still get 40 MPG. Plenty of passing power left at that speed. With an 18-gallon gas tank, you can drive a long time without worrying about fuel. The ride is great and the seats are comfy. I haven't had any issue with the car other than the CVT.

    A lot of waffling, sorry. If you want to test sports cars then do it. If you are reviewing a family sedan speak about ride quality, seat and boot space, I.e. the criteria of the cars target segment, and don't go on about the CVT endlessly, which in this car actually does a good job.

    Was a Nissan owner for years. I can't believe more reviews don't bring up the awful dependability of the CVT they use I had 48,000 miles on my 2016 Altima SR and the transmission crapped out! The service department let me know it happens a lot! Now the proud owner of a Kia Optima and won't go back to Nissan

      You must be fucking terrible with money. You sold a vehicle after ONE YEAR of ownership for a vehicle that has the worst resale value in the segment. That's a double fail.

    • @calgary2800
      @calgary2800 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@sleeksilveryou got it backwards. He sold a car with great resale value for a car that easily can be had for thousands off MSRP. The Nissan dealer would do all it can to take in a almost new Accord to get rid of an Altima. So it's not a fail
