  • My second video on this bike and it blows up... This is going to be expensive.. But at least it should be reliable after a full rebuild.

    You're doing a lot of engine braking. That's very bad for a two stroke, because it's not getting lubrication when you're not on the gas.

    • @MrRonezki
      @MrRonezki Před 7 lety +39

      It still doesnt get lubricated when enginebraking, because oil injection mixes the oil to the gas in the carburator. So its the same as having mixed gas, you just dont have the oil and the gas both in the tank.

They're high performance machines with very tight tolerances so can't always be too surprised. Hope you can get her fixed soon, I'd check out motosport and order a wrench rabbit complete rebuild kit. 1: learn how to read the spark plug:
      2:Second thing you need to learn when there's a noise coming from the bottom engine obviously has to come apart/
      learn how to read the piston if you go on the Internet you will find plenty of information about learning to

    When there is no throttle, the engine idles right? It's getting petrol and oil, right? Therefore, when you are doing no throttle down hill or whatever, (I am guessing that's what you call engine braking) , the engine is still getting oil...and petrol. I've never had a problem, with both premix and injection. If you have a problem, maybe the fuel/oil ratio has not enough oil in it, or the injection system isn't injecting enough oil as it should. The injection system on my road bike is adjustable. If you are revving the motor flat out for prolonged periods, you might want to make the petrol/oil ratio a bit richer , with a little bit more oil per litre of petrol.

      +Jordan Sleppy i ride 2 stroke mopeds and thats how they are lubricated.
      i thought transmission in 2 stroke dirt bikes and other bikes is separated from engine and has its own lubrication unlike 4 stroke.

    • @MotoMuppet
      @MotoMuppet  Před 4 lety +2

      That is incorrect, I've gotten rid of this bike and the guy that owns it now keeps blowing it up too, there is something seriously wrong with it. How I was engine braking in this video is completely fine. There are too many uneducated people who here "ENGINE BRAKING BLOWS UP YOUR BIKE" and thus believes any engine braking will destroy your motor... The only time engine braking will cause damage is if you are engine braking for prolonged periods, like down a huge hill or if you are dropping gears to slow you down.. I engine brake my Yz125 and I've never blown it up, I will get 60 hours out of my piston and I ride it hard.

    The yellow bikes look like the Suzuki RM bikes,I rode someones RM125 about 23 years ago back when I was too poor to afford a motorbike, it went well.
    His dad bought it & rebuilt it because the engine was a bit tired,I rode it before the rebuild.
    I was around a lot of thar d**k heads whose dad spoilt them rotten,how about seizing a brand new Yamaha YZ125 because they didn't read the instructions & didn't fill the oil tank up on a $6000 plus AUD bike,people in the motocross community thought he was an idiot because he nearly landed on someone after launching his bike over a dirt mound.
    Oh ! His dad had to pay to have the engine rebuilt out of his own pocket because the warranty doesn't cover that fault which is the owners stupidity.
    I know someone else rode a YZ100 which went like hell as well,it's surprising how well such a small 2 stroke goes.
