Imho (and experience), a young or new player that is trying to make the squad will say almost anything. When it comes that time and they’re asked to actually go play another position, it can be different.
Gotta keep Milty. Inconsistent? No… I’m with ya, Al. While I think he has a VERY rewarding season playing full- time somewhere else. I still thinks he stays. He’ll get some reps out there too if he stays here. Gotta keep him tho.

Slay is not the problem bradberry had my guy's on the field longer than usual. Slay was the most consistent player in the secondary last year. When healthy he is the best ..Would yall rather availability or big hits and unavailable? Slay going to be a leader and motivational leader when avaliable.

I wouldn’t mind moving Slay if you get an offer. As much as I like Slay, he’s nearing the end of his career. I’m cool going with a younger cheaper DB even if it means some mistakes as the young guys grow. 🏈

First of all I believe Rodgers is legit and they can play, Rodgers on the outside and Mitchell on the inside and then cjgj on outside safety and dejean on inside and whom ever at nickel and let the veterans sit down a bit and then that way you got the two starting rookies watching the two starting veterans and then all four of them is definitely looking to get interceptions cus all four of them are speeders hitters and catchers that's goodies in the secondary I believe them four together would be a powerful setup. Nah bro Slay tackles when he’s not hurt. He’s not a hitter but he gets tackles. Last year he looked scared cause he was hurt and probably gave up on the coaching staff.

Seattle isnt competing for superbowl yearly because of short term thinking. It’s the same thinking lost us Ellis last year so we could keep morrow … a mercenary with no future in Philadelphia. It’s why Nolan smith didn’t get needed reps, or why Dean didn’t get play time for Edward’s when the eagles were blowing teams out. Now one trip to the DL has potentially destroyed deans career. Cause we just haven’t seen him play. The Eagles must get better at getting team drafted players reps. Especially first round top defensive players in the draft. Not clip their wings for a myopic strategy. I have no problem with reps at nickel… for Dejean primarily but some with Mitchell works. Not red shirting guys for a 1 year mercenary
I get Rodgers looks really good at 170 with no pads. I like the player. I don’t want Dejean & Mitchell red shirted for him to use the birds to showcase a large contract for the 49ers after 1 season

Quinyon Mitchell is starting outside… for today & tomorrow. We’re not putting his career on hold because a small guy thats fast who hasnt played in a year & bets on football games looked good without pads on
Slot might not be a bad spot for him to start. Look at Trent Mcduffie in KC. Started slot rookie year and bumped out side last year. But he was able to be moved around and used in the blitz because he played both
@@Kase28 I get the argument & there’s something to it for sure! But the guy needs his reps at his position. It’s about week 15 & the next 5 years as much as it is Green Bay in Brazil. Rodgers isn’t a long term cost effective solution. No more clipping wings for mercenaries who are gonna want the bag from anyone in off season. If Mitchell isn’t ready I want Rodgers to play… but if he needs to make a few rookie mistakes the smart play is to get him in the game & up to speed as soon as possible at his long term position.

@@PhillyGC Rodgers was a late round pick who played well given opportunities in limited snaps. He did get mossed by a 6th rounder who may not make a nfl roster. We’re acting like he’s prime! I like him I just prefer he be the best backup in the nfl, run back kicks, play in dime packages & some quarters etc. Teach rookies their position for the long term play. Just my opinion. I think Mitchell can be special. As fast, much bigger, much stronger, longer with elite hip sink stop & go.
