Mitchell was the best corner draft prospect because he had the highest ceiling. He comes from a smaller school and was gonna have to learn the NFL. If the Eagles weren't Super Bowl contenders then sure, start the rookie. But if Rodgers is better now, you dont start a rookie just because of where he was drafted. The Eagles need the best players to play.

Isiah Rodgers is only 26yrs old. He is young with experience. He returns kicks, plays outside, plays slot. The guy is a weapon. Put the best player on the field, let the others work hard to catch up.

We can rotate any position. In fact that might really screw with the opposing QBs / OCs. This defense could be deadly and thankfully we have a genuine meastro to conduct.
I know I’ll get push back for this, but I’d look to trade Slay. Rogers being a top 5 outside CB could take Slays spot and we could get more for him now. We are stacked at CB. I don’t think we lose anything but make future gains😎🦅♥️

Okay for starters even if the eagles keep 7 CBs Ricks isn’t gonna make the team. He probably won’t make it to practice squad cuz another team will sign him. Secondly Ringo is more than likely going to be ahead of Mitchell on the depth chart too. This is what I’m thinking for outside corner 1.Slay 2.Rodgers 3.Ringo 4. Mitchell then either 5 and 6 Maddox and Tyler Hall for slot and DeJean can play either position at 7.
Or they keep 6 and Hall doesn’t make the roster cuz I don’t see Maddox getting cut cuz he will pry be at the 4th spot for safety depth incase of injury

@marinasands4319 I didn't say rebuild, but these guys need to see quality time on the field. We were beaten in the SB by 1st year DBs making plays for KC throughout the year. You don't sit on talent. You develop it. Hopefully, they'll be rotated throughout the season.

I think Desi got undermined by Patricia because we were 10-1...then what happened? Sirianni fuked around and found out what happens when you mess with your defense mid-season. I don’t think Slay is going to keep his starting job. He was the best of a bad bunch last your. He only looked as good as he did because Bradbury was so bad. Mitchell or Ringo will be starting along with Rogers pretty early.

I don't really think Rogers is going to start over Mitchell. It probably should be that way because Rogers as of right now is probably the better of the two. But the Eagles usually like going with their homegrown guys even if that means playing the lesser of the player. And another thing Rogers is a one year wonder if he has a pro bowl style year he's gone Eagles are not going to sign him. Show to me it makes sense to start Mitchell let him get all the hiccups out of the way. I myself am not like most eagles fans thinking that we are ready for the super bowl again we're not. We need a year of getting past last year's end. Guys are young You don't understand what kind of it seizing ending that was last year. If you think they're just going to come back in this year and pick up and just play good again whatever. I'm all in for the young guys to get in there and just play. And really it doesn't really matter It's going to be Mitchell and Ringo after this year and I think they are going to be one of the best corner duo in the league
