    One more thing about Longirsu, it doesn't have to be monsters that linked to it. If opponent's link monster(s) linked a monster, it can send one of them to the GY too, even if Longirsu's not pointing at them.

    Did not start playing it right after it got released, enjoyed playing against during the KC qualifiers using Speedroids instead. Orcust is just a naturally strong strategy that's enjoyable to play. More importantly I like the fact it is not as skill reliant as odd eyes, or the new BLS. That makes it a dark horse to watch out for. Great video, your points resonate with the recipe I just put together; 3 returns, and the using Galatea's eff to bring Babel to the field. Lancea and Chaos Hunter are also great techs to experiment with. Thanks!

      Those deck you used, is absolutely a trash that duel links ever had!! Will pretty obvious that some of you would prefer to used this deck instead because it's simply easy win in a tournament, and Devs should allow and let some other player used without balancing those card!! For me it's not a competitive deck, it's a peace of card cheat from the Devs..

    • @team6kdl
      @team6kdl  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I am playing 0 copies of chaos betrayer in fact, as it isn't a very good card in this deck. As explained in the video a lot of discard engine is necessary for this decks consistency, and this decks card economy is not so bad that doing so would harm the deck at all. Summoner Monk on the other hand, simply is not a good idea, because while yes the deck does play spells, Summoner Monk is an incredibly inconsistent card in decks that are not primarily spell based, with at a bare minimum 50% spells. I find it rather funny then that you think there are too many spells. This has never been a deck that mandated traps, simply playing trap cards is not really mandatory in decks like these, you can certainly feel free to play any good traps you would like in this deck, but realistically quick play spells and chaos hunter fill the exact same role, that being cards used on the opponents turn to harm their plays and to protect yourself, its just that book and chalice do so in a way that is more versatile, and chaos hunter has double utility, but of course I do say in the video that you do not have to play it and that I am not telling you to play it, but I was highlighting it to show its potential usefulness, and it is indeed a good card in this current format. The fact that you are seemingly appalled at my usage of only 1 Harp Horror shows your limited knowledge of the deck. The deck for its entire competitive history in duel links has only ever needed 1 harp. Between its and Scrap Recycler, Scrap also represents additional access to the Harp, considering that it can send the harp directly from deck to grave itself, and the deck has multiple ways to recycle that harp for future usage. A great way to brick, it seems would be to follow your advice. -Undead

    • @shinyhntr4878
      @shinyhntr4878 Před 11 měsíci +3

      The “playing all spells, no traps, and 1 harp horror” were observations as to why monk already has synergy with the list you’re attempting to showcase, not random singular critiques on the list what a monkey brain😂

    • @team6kdl
      @team6kdl  Před 11 měsíci

      Well the truth of the matter is I'm not playing all spells. I'm playing 9 spells, which is not nearly enough to validate summoner monk, especially since it takes up the valuable normal summon that we would rather be used on scrap recycler, which is far better. Having both in hand you wouldn't want one of them to sit there uselessly. Monk is also a horrible top deck because of the fact that it requires a spell to be validated. Yknow what else has synergy with orcust the same way summoner monk does? Machina Gearframe, because it as a normal summon could search the Fortress as a discard outlet for the orcust, and in the end this results in a plus 1, which in the end so would summoner monk, the issue is that its competing for a normal summon. What makes the monk a bad choice is that if you don't have a spell in your hand its just a useless normal summon, and this is not a spell heavy deck, sure it has a fair amount of spells, but you need the majority of your deck to be spells to validate it, not just because you need to have a spell in hand to discard, but because you also need to not want to use that spell, and all of the spells in this deck aren't here to be discarded, though they can be if needed, they are here to be used, and running the monk means that you take away the optional side of it, they become mandatory parts of your discarding gameplan. If we could guaruntee that we would have an abundance of spells in hand, enough so that we would be okay with discarding one, then summoner monk would be good for a deck like that. This doesn't apply to this deck. -Undead @@shinyhntr4878

      @yuzo4418 pure orcust has more tournament tops, also just because somebody tops with something doesn't necessarily make it the best way. There are others that top without it, so instead of saying it's good because someone topped with it, cards should be evaluated based on judging the card themselves. -Undead

    Here’s a few cards Orcust players are sleeping on, especially with the new banlist restrictions:
    *Gearspring Spirit*
    - Dark machine type, so summon is not restricted by Orcust effects
    - Special summons from hand if all monsters in the gy are machine type, which works with Orcust playstyle
    - Special summon is not once per turn, good for link material or tribute fodder
    - Level 8, so grants +800 ATK if used for Knightmare’s effect
    - Secondary effect sets an opponent’s monster’s ATK to zero. Yes, Orcustrion does this too, but using Gearspring instead lets you save your banished monsters for later.
    *Malefic Cyber End Dragon*
    - Dark machine type, summon not restricted by Orcust effects
    - Can be summoned for link material or emergency beatstick
    - Summon condition banishes Cyber End Dragon from extra deck, which adds to your banished machine pool for Orcust effects
    - Level 10, +1000 ATK if used for Knightmare’s effect
    - Requires any generic field spell, not an issue since Babel is the lynchpin of Orcust decks
    *Machine Duplication*
    - Special summons 1-2 extra copies of any machine with 500 or less ATK directly from the deck. Use on Brass Bombard or Knightmare to get extra link material.
    *Jack Wyvern*
    - Dark machine, summon not restricted by Orcust effects
    -Banishes itself and one other monster to special summon a Dark monster from the gy. If used to special summon Longirsu from gy, it’ll automatically have 2 banished cards to activate effect
    *Ally of Justice cyclone creator*
    - Dark machine
    - Bounces spells and traps equal to number of tuners on the field, including itself.
    - Cost for effect is to discard 1 card, which helps set up Orcust combo
    *Veil of Darkness*
    -Allows you to reveal a dark monster you drew from draw phase, send it to the gy, then draw again. Perfect for setting up Orcust combos

    • @team6kdl
      @team6kdl  Před 9 měsíci

      Gearspring Spirit requiring you to already have something in the grave while not contributing to putting anything into the grave makes it awkward.
      Malefic Cyber End Dragon losing to MST, requiring you to have a field spell therefore making you not play one of the better skills, and the fact that it doesn't help you get orcusts into the grave makes it more than awkward.
      Machine Duplication on a card that you don't actually want to play enough copies of to validate it, on top of the fact that in most games those monsters wont even be on the field at the point that it would be useful for.
      Jack Wyvern doesn't help you in your actual combos, and the deck inherently accomplishes what jack wyvern accomplishes without having to actually play jack wyvern.
      Ally of Justice cyclone creator takes up your normal summon so is just strictly worse than every special summonable option that fulfills a similar role.
      Veil of Darkness: You are really gonna activate a whole continuous spell that doesn't aid your opening plays, just to MAYBE draw an additional card during your NEXT turn, when the NEXT turn in orcust you already have everything you need.

      @bsgfan1 Před 9 měsíci

      @@team6kdl Gearspring Spirit - Did you forget this is an Orcust deck? If you don’t have something in the graveyard, you’ve got bigger problems to worry about. In other words, you should always be able to summon it. Yeah, it doesn’t help start combos, but it does help you extend them.
      Malefic Cyber End - You’re forgetting that the point of Malefic Cyber End is its summoning condition. “Losing to MST” is irrelevant cause you’re not meant to keep it on the field that long. Also, having banished monsters is just as important as having monsters in the grave, which Malefic Cyber End contributes to. Having Babel popped during your main phase is less of an issue than having it popped during your battle or end phase, neither of which Malefic Cyber End should be around for anyways.
      Machine Duplication - Like it or not, Orcust is getting restricted. So yes, Brass Bombard is about to see a small resurgence out of necessity. Don’t forget that it can also be used on World Wand.
      Jack Wyvern, Cyclone Creator, Veil of Darkness - I know these cards aren’t the best because they’re support cards you can keep a single copy of that _might_ help you later. Jack Wyvern can help you recover if you get kaiju’d or if you want to bypass Cymbal Skeleton’s once per turn restriction. If you have your board set up, Cyclone Creator can help you clear backrow so you can go for game while also adding to graveyard, just in case. Veil of Darkness fills the graveyard while maintaining hand advantage. If your opponent leaves it alone, you have a passive boost to your plays. If they pop it, they waste resources on a mediocre support card that otherwise could have been used on Babel or Einsatz.
      The point of this list is to help ameliorate Orcust deck building once the new limited list is implemented. Since Harp, Knightmare, and Scrap are all gonna be on the limited 3, we’re gonna have to get creative. It won’t be as powerful or consistent, but we do what we have to do.

    • @team6kdl
      @team6kdl  Před 9 měsíci

      Gearspring Spirit - You know this being an orcust deck doesn't mean orcust cards are going to show up in your grave at the start of the duel, this is not BLS, the cards in your deck have to actually help you to get them into the grave in the first place.
      Malefic Cyber End - It doesn't need to stay on the field long to lose to MST, you still have to actually get a field spell on the field on the first place which 1 means you already have the babel meaning you don't need the cyber end, meaning its a worthless card, because a card that doesn't help you achieve your decks gameplan is not a card you should be running, a card you just slap on top of an existing gameplan that doesn't actually support it is not something good deckbuilders do. OR it could mean youre playing a field spell skill instead of a skill the deck would prefer to be playing. Banishing a card and being a body is not good enough when the deck can do those things without it, and more effectively.
      Machine Duplication - You cannot rely on opening this card since it is only at 1, so it is NOT necessary to run more cards which would lead you to bricks just because some bad deckbuilder thinks its necessary.
      Jack Wyvern, Cyclone Creator, Veil of Darkness - These cards are not cards that "might" be good. If a card "might" be good you straight up shouldn't play it, but these cards aren't cards that "might" be good, these are cards that are BAD, for the reasons I laid out already. You don't need to explain to me why you use them, they do not contribute to the gameplan, and they do things the deck does not need them to do because they can do the same things without them. Orcust does not have any issue recovering from a kaiju, and has enough special summoning that it doesn't need to only use cymbal skeleton to follow up. This deck does not need to clear backrow and if it did there are strictly better options. Veil of darkness only fills your grave on the small chance that you draw a dark monster, and only does it on follow up turns, so on the first turn when you activate it it does absolutely nothing for you, and on your follow up turn your grave is already going to have everything it needs because that is how orcust works, essentially meaning that you are activating a continuous spell that the vast majority of the time is going to do absolutely nothing. And you can't validate a shit card by saying that the opponent hitting it would be bad for them, because they obviously wouldn't hit it because it won't hurt them and it won't help you.
      You do not make a deck better by putting bad cards in it. If you want to fix the deck, there are better ways of going about it, one of which is included in our recent banlist review. I will say it again, you do not make a deck better by putting bad cards in it. -Undead

    • @bsgfan1
      @bsgfan1 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@team6kdl Sorry, been at work. Long response incoming.
      Gearspring Spirit - That’s why you leave combo starters to other cards. Even with the new restrictions, you can still run 2 or 3 Scraps. Once you’ve got a single monster in the grave, this card becomes viable. That doesn’t mean keep 3 copies of Gearspring, just 1 or _maybe_ 2 max. Plus, its secondary effect can weaken monsters that are out of reach of either side’s link arrows. But its real value to Orcust is free and easy link material. For example: Normal summon Scrap, send Harp to gy, special summon Gearspring, banish Harp for effect - summon Cymbal. You now have enough material to link climb through Galatea and get any support cards you need (Babel, Einsatz, Return) along the way, then end with a linked Longirsu and Galatea (or Longirsu with a Dingirsu for support) plus Babel.
      Malefic Cyber End - This isn’t a card you open with the second you get Babel on the field, and obviously I’m not saying use a field spell skill in place of a better skill. Regardless, you’re supposed to be protecting your Babel anyways cause, as I said, it’s the lynchpin of the deck and it’s limited 1. Orcust is at its most vulnerable during turn 1 or 2 since a single negate or spell destruction is enough to throw off your combo. Even worse, Cosmic Cyclone, Photon Stream, or any card that can banish Babel will straight up brick your deck. In other words, anything that can remove Babel is already a threat to you regardless. And if your opponent knows what you’re trying to do, they’re going to stop you way before you get your staples out. As far as use, Malefic Cyber End is something you play towards the end of your combo when you at least have most of your staples in play.
      For example, summon it when you have a linked Longirsu and Galatea on the field to go into Orcustrion or a second Longirsu, then use an effect to bring back whichever link monster you used. If Malefic Cyber End summon gets negated, you still have Longirsu and Galatea on the field plus an extra banished machine and can continue your combo in other ways. If Babel gets MST’d (which is already a possibility and serious threat regardless), then you still have a decent board with possible combo options, plus a chance to get Babel back on your next turn. If your opponent has Cosmic Cyclone or Photon Stream and banishes Babel, then you were already screwed regardless. Alternatively, if you’re doing this on turn 1, then obviously your opponent won’t have any form of removal/disruption set for you to worry about. The only thing you have to worry about turn 1 is hand traps, which are already huge problems for Orcust decks with or without a Malefic Cyber End.
      Mini TL:DR; All the cards that can body Malefic Cyber End are also cards that can body Orcust decks in general. You say “it loses to MST” as if MST couldn’t stop an Orcust combo anyways.
      All the others - I can see your points on those. I’ll concede for everything except the first 2 discussed above.
      I’ll say it again, the point isn’t to make the deck better, it’s to try and salvage the nerf Orcust is about to get. Obviously there’s way better cards for Orcust, but those cards are either 1. Already in your deck, 2. On limited lists themselves, or 3. About to be unplayable with Orcust. Since we’re gonna have to reduce the number of Scraps, Harps, and Knightmares, something is going to have to take their place. So unless Girsu (the main deck version) or Dark Grepher gets released really soon, we’re a bit limited on options, aren’t we?

      @bsgfan1 you can't run 2 or 3 scraps, you can't play any scraps. Give up, the deck is still fine even if it is hurt, you keep trying to push playing bad cards and its just not gonna happen, dude. Nothing you spoke on actually helps the deck in any way at all, your argument of "the decks getting hit so we gotta do something different" contradicts with you giving absolute dogs hit cards as replacements. -Undeas
