I'm just now realizing I only started rewatching GH bc of Sprina and that's the sad part. Last time I was really into GH was when Jason Quartermaine was dating Keisha before he got in that car accident, lost his mind, and became Jason Morgan. And that was 1995 😂
Same for me. I had not watched since they did Keesha dirty. There is someone who loaded up all the old Jason and Keesha episodes on CZcams. They were so great together.
I'm new to GH and not sure why Molly and TJ are always excluded. They have been together for at least 10 years from what I understand. So, you may want to clarify and say black women with white men. Also, there is a current interracial LGBT couple that as far as we know are still together.
@lisacox5405 it's definitely the BW/WM couples. BW in particular have been done dirty for decades. Either they don't want them in love or they don't give them a storyline. Tho I will say that soap couples usually get put thru the ringer. It's just worse for these couples.

I personally think they treat black men just as badly as they treat black women in interracial relationships. I'm looking at the TJ situation now and I hate it. He is not centered in the surrogacy story when he is a black man in an interracial relationship and the baby is biologically half his. Yet, I don't see enough outrage over that. They are making this black man the villain so they can push him out of his own story...and he may not even get to raise his child. I actually saw a comment from someone saying the child should be raised by Molly, Kristina, and Blaze. Society already acts like black men don't raise their children....and THIS Is the story they want to give TJ. Horrible. There could be a half black child if Kristina gives birth...but people are acting like none of that is big deal even though people have complained about the lack of babies and children of color on the show.
So far i dont mind Gio. He seems sweet & very talented. I can see chemistry brewing w/ him & Trina. Just plz gh not another love triangle w/ Joss. Give Trina her own storyline & romantic adventures of her own.

Yet, I care more about them as individual characters. He doesn't have a story. I don't want Trina and Spencer to be each other's story. I think they are building Trina to be better than she was before Spencer "died". That's the version of Trina I have been wanting from the beginning. I didn't get to see the other Trina. I read that she had spunk already before Spencer showed up. Yet, since it's been Tabyana...THIS is the Trina I have wanted! I think Tabyana is getting better and better...and I think it's because NAC is gone. I liked NAC, but he got alot of the attention. I think as an actress she needed this. She needed time to work on herself away from NAC so people wouldn't keep saying "Sprina" only worked because of him. She has had alot to prove because there were alot of Spencer fans who never took to her. Every "Sprina" fan is not really a "Trina" fan. There were alot of Spencer fans. Some dropped off when he left and some hang on begging for him to come back. They were never really "Trina" fans. I want the recast Spencer to do well when he comes. Spencer doesn't have Cam, he doesn't have his father, Victor is dead, Valentine is only around sometimes, he wasn't in school and he had no job. They have to build something for him to come back to first. It seems they are dismantling the Cassadines almost, so they have to build that up again before Spencer could come back. I loved the conversation they had at the restaurant in Paris. He said he wanted to find his passion. He would be an amazing entrepreneur. He's smart and strategic.

I’m glad Gio seems like a decent guy. I hope he’s friends with Trina first, not to mention his first choice and not second to Joss who he also seems fond of. With the risk of contradiction, a little drama couldn’t hurt. Not Spencer-sized drama (please no), but keeping him too saccharine makes him boring a la Rory who maybe didn’t get a fair chance since they gave him no backstory.

None of us can know where this story is headed and based on what we know about how this young man was hired, I question if the show has any real idea. But so far, I’m not seeing much for Trina fans to get excited about. The set up feels very “bait and switch” to me. He hasn’t asked questions about Trina. Most of his scenes, including more tomorrow, have been with joss. No solo scenes with Trina…considering what gh pulled last summer with Sprina, I put nothing past them. They had Spencer dating Trina, but making a faux family with esme…I don’t trust this show to not try something similar here.

I also think that the powers that be are going to do a bait and switch with Trina propping up Gio, and I think that he will eventually end up with Joss. The powers that be are trying too hard to prop up Gio every time that he's on-screen, and it's really not natural, and it's off-putting.
I think there is more to Gio than we realized. He asks a lot of questions and he tells Joss that he is noisy. Was he sent to check up on Trina, maybe by Spencer?
That's all you can do. Yes, I would LOVE for Spencer to come back and reunite with Trina, but that's not the reality right now. Gio and Trina can just have a friendship and maybe, have a summer romance, and then, Spencer can reappear and there would be a possible Gio/Trina/Spencer triangle. It's what soaps are made of
Sprina is what got me to watching GH- I was captivated by Tabyana and Nicholas portrayal of Spencer and Trina. Watched other soaps…DOL, AMC, ETC., but stopped watching a long time ago. Hopefully my interest will perk up again as I continue to remain a faithful viewer. I just love(d) ❤SPRINA, hands down, the best couple ever for me.😊

Okay I seen something on Nicholas (AKA Spencer's) Instagram story the other day he took a selfie with Gio... So now my mind is confused because I thought that Spencer wasn't coming back to GH but now the picture make me think different.
To be fair - Gio has been spending time with everyone, so I don't think it means much at this point. He spends alot of time with Evan and Tabyana as well away from the show. I don't follow NAC. Yet, I think they are just mentoring him and spending time together to get to know each other. That's how they chemistry test. Now, it could mean something for the future...but nothing anytime soon.

To be clear - not saying they all keep in touch with each other but within that group some of them keep in touch regarding things not GH related. That's why they don't post everything publicly. I used to be journalist so I know how some of it works. I wasn't shocked at all. NAC is strategic like that. I saw that in him the first day I ever watched him on GH in 2023. The man is very intelligent. He is a marketing person. If people paid attention to his words = he tells you everything. Everything he says and does is strategic. He thinks things out far ahead. People didn't read his exit statement carefully. He said alot in that exit statement. I already knew he was hanging out with Gio. He knew about Gio from the beginning. People didn't catch it...but I did. I don't even follow NAC on social media. I follow Gio and Tabyana though. I have my own theories...but keeping it to myself. Either way...the point is Gio is there to stay and I do think he is a good addition to the YA cast.

Only only because that may be the way she gets more screen time. Even with the addition of Gio, her screen time has been in some way connected to Josslyn. This was just a thought. GH will NEVER do this. So don’t bite my head off. After all She doesn’t have scenes with her family. Including her “new” father who they pushed Taggert aside for and then gave him a drinking problem.
