  • I made this rod rack similar to the ones I see at sporting goods stores. I used hard maple left over from building our house. Please Subscribe

That looks great and probably cheaper than a store bought one.

If you take a big salt water hook, you will not have cut the top like that. Just cut the eye out, bend it around and use it to hold the top part of the rod in place

Good build, you have some solid skills. Never trust your skills so much you put yourself at risk though, gotta get a router table, that was a dangerous move. you've got yourself some good tools, Laguna Band saws and Powermatic drill presses aren't the everyday shop tools, but good for you that you have those nice stable mates to practice with.

What all did you use cause I have to build a fishing rod rack for a shop project and wood prix refuses to load I just need the materials

How did you get a uniform cylindrical rod with that chisel?

4 small feet under base will help with any un level floor you encounter.

Nice. I'm inspired. Just NEVER do that with a router again. OK?

You can use woodprix, it has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.

Be the example you want your viewers to follow. You’re a good woodworker but that router trick was foolish. What do you suppose you’d build with missing fingers? Safety first, then proceed.
