- This is a short clip of highly esteemed British Historian Tudor Parfitt admitting that Black Jews were expelled from Spain and Portugal to several different locations in West Africa during the Inquisition.
Parfitt specializes in the study of Jewish communities around the world, particularly in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
In the full interview, Parfitt states that some of these black Jews were likely taken to the Americas during the Transatlantic slave trade but stops short of admitting that the majority of so-called "African Americans" are the descendants of these Jews.

@@prophitloc As I have Iberian and African dna (small portion) You too should have Iberian dna. My ancestors were not African they were of a darker skin tone. Again, what people dont understand is that the term Negro was used solely on a group of people in that time. Only Portuguese and Spanish used this term for those who had a dark complexion. The word is of spanish background so no one else was called this. Today, everyone is called this. Even african descendents. So not all Negros are Negros.

"When the Nação [Hebrews of the Portuguese Nation] members began arriving to the Netherlands, often time they brought their African ‘servants’ with them. In 1627 [Hebrew year 5387], the Ma’amad [board of trustees] gathered at the house of Benjamin de Israel in order to establish regulations on behalf of the community. The regulations provide evidence of the problem of the non-Jewish African blacks:
First, that no negro or mulatto will be able to be buried in the cemetery except for those who had buried in it a Jewish mother;…And further…that none shall persuade any of the said negros and mulattos, man or woman, or any other person who is not of the nation of Israel to be made Jews; and it is particularly recommended to all men of the Law that they not admit them, just as people who have a [private] miqveh [ritual bath] not immerse them without the permission of the Gentlemen of the Board of directors, for in this way…results in only scandal and offense to God; he who does the contrary, measures will be taken against him as disobedient.[GAA, 334, no. 13, fol. 42]."

They were Sefardic Jews with Sefardic names. Yes they were black but they were a seperate groups of peoples. Not all black people are "Negroes" a term used to identify these people of Spain and or Portugal whom many have Sefardic (Spanish) Names. So just cause a person is black doesn't mean you are A sefardim, you could be African but at the same time while there there were a mixing of cultures. These people were mostly taken to the Islands or Latin America. The slave trade that happened after wards were mostly of Africans. So to say that All people are Hebrews is wrong. You could be African, and you could be mixed. You will only know if you had info to work with like maybe perhaps a dna test?
Hispanics today are descended of Sefardim. We still hold the language, the culture, our names, history and our dna.
Just to add, I have taken 2 dna tests. And idk if its because this whole "Hebrew or Jews" thing is big right now but I am matching with a handful of African Americans, whom like i said could most likely be descended from the Inquisition batch to the Islands. And my dna in Africa would be drops of Sefardim whom travelled into Africa during the Inquisition. I am hispanic. Most of my life I believed I was also "Afro" mixture because that is what we have been told all our lives. My fathers side are Negros of South America. Still are called that. Negro is a spanish word/ term used for the colored Jews in Spain. My last name is Sefardic Jewish name, most hispanic names are. Like i said, many came to the Islands and latin America to avoid persecution, yet were still persecuted. You aint Sefardim if you weren't raised Catholic. The slave trade happened exactly where they were taken, West Africa.
No one is saying that all Africa Americans in the US are Jews, but a majority are.

He said from the beginning, the lost tribe idea is a MYTH, thats why I said this is misleading, because you took a small portion and claimed it as proof. BUT you didnt take the part where he said the Limba said they came from WHITE people. All you have to do is go back to 3.45 and he gives his explanation on why blacks identify with the Israelite trope.
