As one of the last players in the compact 2-door market, the fully redesigned 2016 Honda Civic Coupe takes all the style, technology, and practically and wraps it in a sleeker, more sporty shape. Those of you not interested in a sedan or hatchback should put this stylish new coupe at the top of your list. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I live in San Diego and I'm a huge fan of your work Sofyan! You're welcome to stay!
Finally I've been waiting like a month to see this review. I love your reviews keep up the good work!
I like the long vids w/ comments on interior materials/styling/electronics etc.
I love your longer videos .this one was also great.
Hey, i really like your longer videos where you go over the whole car, please keep that style, I also like how you drive the hell out of the car, it really shows how the car sounds at all RPM ranges.
Keep up the good work with these excellent reviews. I have been a fan from your original channel, and will continue to follow. 👍👍
I think your longer videos are great! I think you are the only car reviewer I've watch that makes me feel as if I drove the car after watching the review. I feel to somewhat understand a car on CZcams you need a bit of time. congrats on 200k subs! I hate CVT's as well.
I just buy this car today trust me this car is dope !! ❤️😍💪🏻
I’m thinking bout gettin this one as well
I drove Civic 2013 sedan, rented while my 09 accord was in service, I really enjoyed and when am outside it, I can't believe how this look spacious inside is look small outside.
I am getting the red touring on Thursday. I fell in love with it the first test drive. The turbo makes a huge difference and drives fantastic. I drove a Mazda 3 ( not touring though )..and just wasn't impressed. This Civic is so fun to drive! The seats are very comfy. I love everything about it. I was a little Leary about the CVT but I know people who love theirs. We've researched a lot of cars in the category of compact cars and only the Civic touring blew me away. So if you're in the market for a 2016 I'd highly recommend this car!
Idk why people say your videos are too long lol at least you're very informative and I can watch your videos all the way through. Other reviewers tend to have very short reviews, which I don't like and other reviewers, who was mentioned in the comment under me, tend to have VERY LONG videos that be from 20- almost 40 mins long.
I prefer the longer videos but this is well-done Sofyan! Definitely want it in stick!
U want sofyan's stick?
I personally prefer the longer, more detailed format.
Yeah I bet u prefer LONGER
I like your longer format.
I will definitely appreciate it and great video of the Civic coupe. :)👍🏽 I can't wait for hatch, si, and type r.
I prefer the normal Redline reviews.
Love how you go through the details on the interior etc..
No
Why Is Water Wet my opinion
Bruno Danese your opinion is wrong bruno
Bruno Danese u mad bro?
Why Is Water Wet no
Nice review like alwayes and hope you will not stop your long videos....pls,pls,pls
For highly anticipated cars I prefer long form reviews, still liked the short take though!
I'm starting to see the coupes out in the wild. In person these cars look amazing. While the swoopy rear pillar looks off to me on the sedan, the coupe wears it well. Can't wait to see type R and SI variants.
I bought a 2016 Honda Civic Coupe LX-P, which is above the base model if I'm correct, and I do not regret it one bit! Originally I was going for an Audi A3 since Audi is my favorite manufacturer, but I needed an everyday car to commute to school and work. I, being 20 and still young, wanted something sporty, sleek, modern, and premium. When I stepped inside the 16 Civic I was amazed at the ambience I got. It definitely went up with the A3, respectfully since I know the A3 is an entry-level luxury car, but it made me feel confident in buying it. It turns heads and I get asked about it, some confusing it with a Lexus, surprisingly. I'm still striving for an Audi, but I will definitely keep this car as my everyday and I'm glad I got it. If you ever had a negative take on Honda, I encourage you to step inside the 2016 models.
I love that the car simulates gear shifts
I enjoy the shorter review/overview videos. I remember when you did used vehicles before Redline was created. have short to the point opinionated videos are much better.
long videos deter me from watching because I want information not long detail to detail of everything for the sake of a long video.
Great work!
I'm currently own the 2016 civic EX-T Sedan this video makes me real want the coupe. Hopefully i can get one with a 6-speed manual the CVT isn't bad but it feels weird especially when accelerating from a stop or 5 mph(you mentioned this). But the sedan has nice steering and is pretty fun to drive also very good room in the middle seat.
Very good review, thanks so much.
wow! short take? this man transfers info very efficiently!!! Great Reviewer. Get the note pad ready and the pause button at hand. Thanks.
my 2013 civic EX 5 speed automatic ... loveee ittt ...
No don't do shorter videos. The reason I loved your videos is because they're so detailed
A huge fan but as a car enthusiast I prefer the longer video because it give more in dept review
nice looking car the civic coupe for those who fit the life style good job honda it's my kind of cars.
wow this is beautiful
that spoiler is beautiful
I prefer the longer and more comprehensive videos like how you do it!
nice man i like these shorter videos
i relay like the format.
can you please make a review on the 2016 Honda Accord
I like your longer vids. You can't really give out a full evaluation in a short vid. Plus for the people that are looking for a car to buy they might want to know every detail about the car. Just my opinion
Honda nailed the civic with this generation. I feel like it's a reborn 8th gen, because of how much it's been improved over the previous generation. I just traded in my 2012 Accord coupe for a 2016 Civic LX sedan, with the 6-speed manual. I absolutely love it, makes me just want to just keep driving!
8th gen puts this to shame in the Si model. Especially with the terrible cvt and low revs
What I'm saying is it's a drastic improvement over the previous generation. What do you mean in the si model? Honda hasn't revealed the si for this generation yet.
I prefer the longer version of Redline reviews like it used to be.
when is the type r coming out?
and would it only be a manual?
Why havent you done the accord yet? How would you say the interior quality is compared to the camry?
Hey Sofyan, does this civic include turn signal capabilities?
I like the idea of a shorter format. That Civic looks impressive
Nice Review Of 2016 Honda Civic Coupe. 😁
Hi I love your reviews and I drive similar to you when I test are. Can you please do a back to back review of the new civic vs the MKVII GOLF TSI? I found the golf to have a much better ride, power and refinement.
Thanks,
William.
Does anyone know when the manual transmission is gonna be available for this engine? That's literally the only thing stopping me from buying one
Everytime i think of civic. I think of smaller 4 door accord. Only if its not a hatchback. Is really worth it for 20+ hp for a coupe or the sedan???
can it come with shift paddles on steering wheel? dont want to buy manual cuz have a manual car already
Please do a review of the 2016 Honda Accord V6 Touring Sedan!
When does the 5 door comes out
When you doing a review on the Ridgeline?
Still no review of the 2016 Accord.
Like to see the new A4
We just finished filming that car today. You'll see it online shortly!
+Redline Reviews I live local too love your videos
I want to buy civic coupe 2016 touring but when I checked number of Vin I saw that the engine was 1.8L it is possible? Everywhere it is written that touring has 1.5l, could someone explain it?
I laughed so hard at your opinion on the Kia Forte Koup. I love the honesty and not the politically correct type stuff people say in their reviews. Btw you know who buys them...people who dont care how a car drives or how much fun theyll have, but want that 10yr 100k warranty. :D
Yeah gotta feel sorry for all the suckers buying outdated kias and toyotas when they can't even hold a candle against the lowest trim Civic.
honesty will get you killed one day, dumbass.
I'm desperate on testing a turbo with the manual transmission!!
Best car in the world
The reason why Honda took away the power seats in the coupe is to simplify getting in/out of the back seat. Power seats would just make it too much of a hassle.
The lack of power seats wouldn't bother me. My Camry has a power driver seat, I set it once and have never touched it since I got it. Unless you're constantly sharing the car with someone else who has a completely different seating position than you then it won't be a big deal.
why would you need paddle shifters for a cvt?
I also like the longer format more.
Nice coupe, But is it because of the Cam-Micro or does the engine really sound THAT horrible?
Its your average sounding Honda. I love em, but you can't make them sound nice for shit. Though the Type R Civic usually has a pretty sick sound to it.
This car comes with earthdream engine. Will it have oil dilution?
i know this don't have nothing to do with the Honda civic but when are you getting the Chrysler Pacifica van limited
+jonny melena funny
Like the shorter videos👍
Where is the review for 2016 Civic Sedan?
0:27 dayum, where was that nice shot
San Diego, Harbor Island looking out on the bay.
***** thx
thanks! that cvt is definitely a no go for me--absolutley washing machine on spin cycle....
Wish the turbo models are available with a 6 speed manual. Hopefully the Si isn't going to be a bitch mobile.
Do you not have ears or eye's? because if you did you would know theirs one coming.
Yeah! Totally EVERYONE REALLY wants a MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Obviously EVERYONE is an ENTHUSIAST. Except black people tho.
larry_the_villan well i'm young, i wasn't raised with manual cars.
Do the audi tt 2017 rs please :)
Why didn't they give the 2.0L a turbo? Why make the engine smaller before putting the turbo on?
Fuel economy
I would honestly rather have this than an Acrua ILX
Stay with long takes. I can't handle foreplay only!
My mazspeed3 gets 36 mpg hwy @70mph.
Love long tbh
I actually liked the in depth reviews.... Guess I'm in the minority
forgot to mention sport, drive, and eco
Can you do a video on the 2017 Hyundai Elantra
no. because no one should be buying a hyundai
+Brian Mahlstedt well he already did so.....
.. he should just preemptively file a lemon law suit?
Saying that the interior is like an Acura isn't really a good thing. I prefer the civic interior to all current Acura vehicles honestly. Of course that's just my opinion.
I like the longer videos better the longer the better if u know what I mean. By the way ur a good old little Asian
Listen to that CVT hum. LOL!
why would the cvt be making noise?
Because it's a CVT?
Ugh....that CVT drone though...
Don't like this video format already. I love your long videos. So informative and you make them interesting. People like Saabkyle04 are great car reviewers BUT he tends to ramble on and I hardly ever watch any of the videos all the way through. Your videos I watch right till the end if I have time and save my place and come back later if not.
Same. Saabkyle04 got extremely boring. I don't even watch his videos anymore. I watch all of Redline's videos
Saabkyle04 is fucking dreadfully dull and uninteresting to watch
Thank you for your input, we try to listen to all our viewers and make adjustments accordingly. Believe us when we say our longer format is not going anywhere. Redline Short Take will simply add to our review formats in order to appease viewers looking for shorter reviews to watch. This is simply meant to supplement all our existing reviews. We are in the process of expanding so be sure to keep subscribed because we wouldn't be where we are today without loyal fans like guys!
***** simmer down Nicole
***** be nice Nicole
Theses cars are getting bigger and bigger lol, this civic coupe makes the 2000 Accord look like a compact car.
I got a chance to see you in person and it's much bigger than I expected. I like the 8th and 9th Gen more. I guess the size change was to accommodate the American market for the ever so growing family in numbers in sheer size.
+Billy Toilembocker
That is the last gen civic, I was talking about the civic in this video which is the 10th gen. It is a little longer than the 9th gen civic coupe.
+Billy Toilembocker it's bigger than the 8th by some inches and I prefer the 9th over 10th due to style. but size wise the 9th and 10 are almost identical. the 10th a Lil wider and longer but slightly shorter.
+Billy Toilembocker
it is still a little bit wider and longer and the length of this civic coupe and almost the same as a 2000 Accord sedan.
and seeing the civic history in general, they are getting bigger.
I give props to the Miata for trying to keep the same size after all theses years.
stick with your long videos...you give so much information in those and you're actually interesting to listen to not like these other boring reviewers.
SAN DIEGOO
Waiting for si or type r. I want real gears not crap ass cvt.
ahhhh still processing video quality!!!
it's in HD for me :D
360p club
Don't be lazy, stay in your lines!! 9:00
no manual with the turbo :(
The traffic In dc is hateful? Good one, bae.
where does he talk about the rear seats?
7:40
the sound of that little motor with turbo and cvt combo makes me sad :(
someone please tell me....what the hell is the difference between the 2016 and 2017 civic coupes?? on honda's website i cant tell the difference between any of the two..
on the 17' you can get a manual with the turbo and not just on the base level.
Mike ohhh ok. thank you. other than that they have the exact dimensions ?
Techno sailor yes, and I think there's a couple more wheel options as well
cool cool, thank you
Quick video still 12 min and real content doesn't start until past 1 min
Honestly this car would be way better if it had a v6
So why would someone buy a ILX over this? Comparing sedan to sedan..... I'm having a tough time justifying Acura anymore....
The badge and nothing more.
Well technically the interior to some degree but not majorly anymore now that the touring civic is amazing interior
+itachii267 you wouldn't imho, the technology available in the Civic far exceeds what you get in the ILX.
The only thing the ILX really has going for it is the k24 and DCT. Even still the soft suspension and open diff means the ILX isn't really a good enthusiast car either.
ikr? Why the fuck would you? ILX is an outdated luxury trash that borrows its components from the previous gen civic.....Ewww
actually in some aspects this civic is better than some Acura cars because even Acura cars don't have that digital speedometer or Android auto or Apple carplay 😂
how are you liking your miata man?
It's still an amazing car, I'll be filming a one year update video next month :)
-Sofyan
Your car is amazing man! I wanna have the hardtop one day but it won't have the same visibility as yours has because the retractable fastback looks like it's going to hinder sights at the blindsides. But damn the MX-5 is sexy and fun.
not a bad car
hey Ahmed
when will you get a Focus Rs to review lol?
Don't like the grill!
Other than that, the car looks good.
