I think the proper diy safest way is you just open the trottle body, but do not disconnect the connector. Clean the trottle body. If you want to open the valve, (do not start the car) but just put the key into the ignition and press the fuel pedal (this is valid for electronic trottle body only). Clean throughly between the valve....so, we no need to calibrate it because trottle body is still connected to the ecu and sensor. Warning, do not push the valve using your hand. It can damage gear inside the trottle body and disturb the sensor position indication. But i don't know about the grounding. For your safety, just connect a crocodile clip between trottle body and car body.

Definitely! I do disconnect the wire. The ECU needs to recalibrate once wire is being reconnected. The actual procedure should have a ECU diagnostic scanner and open the wing electronically. The method showed is a low cost DIY method that served the purpose.

Not worth for DIY at home without all tools. Try search timing belt change for Suzuki Forenza. Good news is that Proton uses standard hex socket. The rest of the procedure are basically identical.

Hi, Yes. You are correct. The main purpose was to prevent my ECU to gone crazy. Petrol seems to be a very volatile solvent. It is dangerous to work with petrol. Go get a throttle body cleaner. Its high pressure would easily wash away all the dirt. You will have no idea how the petrol would react with the electronics inside the throttle body. Unlike in the past, they used petrol to do cleaning because it were merely mechanical parts. These days there are we used sensors and electronics in parts for better accuracy purpose. Need to be really careful with electronics ! It does not cost too much, you may use it for two rounds of cleaning per can.
tvm bro for ur feedback.. For the future, I suggest you make a video of oil seal leaking. it always happen on campro engine, like valve/rocker cover leaking.. may b no need to replace, just use the oil stop leaking.. i think lot of people wanna see it. just my suggestion. hehe tq ya bro..
Hi bro..i brought my pesona 2008 to wshop to replaced IAFM..at the same time the mechanic clean the throtle body by pressing the valve..after installation found the RPM goes to high till reach to 1300 and does not go down to 900...he used diagnos tool to reduce the timing..now what i facing is the moment i start my engine the RPM goes to 1100 and then within a minit its goes to 900..is it normal?
I suggest resetting the ECU. Let the ECU reset all setting to normal and let the system learn the way you drive your vehicle. Try Google for ECU reset or ECU reset after throttle body cleaning.

It is normal when first start will go to 1100 then after few minutes it will drop to 900 my friend.
