Agree 100% on how unsafe the throttle curve is. I was towing my light camp trailer (only 5K lbs) this weekend and had major issues with dead pedal as I was going up a curvy road. There were times I had to floor it just to wake the truck up. My pedal commander is on the way.
Good review. I have a Toyota 2005 Highlander with an infuriating lag-and-surge throttle response, particularly in rush hour hour stop & go traffic, that drives me up the wall (pun intended). Pedal Commander may be the fix I need. I agree with you, the throttle factory setting is a danger. A lifetime of driving reflexes makes me stomp the gas pedal when it lags, could well rear-end the vehicle in front of me . Questions: In California, we have to get cars smog checked every 2 years, do you know if the PC would have be removed beforehand? Somewhat related question - can the PC be turned off so that throttle reverts to stock behavior without having to remove it?
I have a pedal commander on all my vehicles (all ford's) fusion. F150 4x4 lariat and f350 king ranch. I'll never have another ride without the pedal commander
I like it, and still have it plugged in, but switched off. I just installed the Stealth Performance module in my F250 and it is great! Check the review if you have time. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Do you know if this pedal Commander will disable my fuel management system so that it does not go down to 4 cylinders or 6 cylinders they have a product out there that does that but I'm curious if this does that if I put it in City mode
Did you look at the Pedal Monster? If so, why do you like the Pedal Commander better since that’s the one you installed. I’m considering both of them. I’ve heard less negative reviews for the Monster. Thank you for your input.
I did not look at the Pedal Monster, but I think this is the one that holds the reverse to OEM standards correct? The Pedal Commander applies the same curve in forward gears or reverse....something I am not a fan of. Thanks for watching! Did you have the Pedal Monster...and if so, how do you like it?
Yes. PM, from what I’ve read does OEM standard in reverse which I like. I have not gotten the PM. Trying to figure out do I really want to do either. Thank you for your response.
But the said the you need to stop the car to changer the mode system you can’t do that when you driving you can get the check engine light on doing that I talk to the company the told me that for any car and truck need to stoop the car
I have a Chevy Colorado OMG. I almost snap my neck on that mode sport plus 4, I put it back on city 2 it's fun worth it it's like a new toy in my toy box.
I was very disappointed and received no help from pedal commander support .the unit was installed on a Durango R/T .I LOST THROTTLE POWER WHILE DRIVING ON A REGULAR..
I just get it to see if it fix the transmission punches that my 2021 explorer makes a lot of time also to see if I can finally be able to set eco mode automatically all the time even if I turned off the car, or feel the first acceleration on 1st shift smoother as Toyota Corolla , Highlander or Honda pilot or crv , if this thing makes that definitely worth the money I’ll update in 1 week 😅 stay tune like and subscribe 😂
I think you will like it, for the price point, its a very good addition. The setting should not reset every time you shut off the engine...it should stay on your selection. I picked up a Stealth Module a couple weeks ago, have not installed it yet, will be another week or two when I get some time. Curious the difference in performance, and will post a video of it when I do. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Its Garbage. I had one to go bad. Will never do that again!!! Take my Advice from someone who had one. They Go bad and flag your computer. I replaced the throttle body until next, i was going to replace the accelerator pedal sensor. Tech told me these things do usually go out. Told me to disconnect the Pedal Commander and see what happens. I did, and the Pedal Comm was the problem. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

'21 Tacoma had one, '19 Frontier has one, no regrets on either purchase. I stay at Sport-1. Great vid Brother!

Hey what mode and sensitivity did you settle on for daily driving?
My 2020 Ram has terrible throttle lag. Researching an answer. I like the Banks equivalent so far.
Great video I just ordered one
@DesertSpur best thing I got so far for the truck the dealership doesn't even mind its there so warranty is not affected at all
Do you have the gas or diesel?

It's what highway automotive safety wants when corporations half to follow by their safety standards.
your not supposed to change settings while driving
Not while pushing the accelerator otherwise you will be fine. Speaking from experience.

No problems for nearly 3 years now and I use it daily. Maybe you just had a bad one.
