Like a lot of people, I grew up working on my own cars and loved anything related to wrenching. I created this channel to post videos on topics I enjoy (which are not always car/truck related), and to encourage anyone watching these videos to get out there and get wrenching! If you have a project or want to start a project, but not sure about your skills..give it a shot and go for it! This is not what I do for a career, just something I really enjoy. I read the comments and try to reply to them all, so please like, subscribe, and follow! I appreciate you checking out the channel.

Curb Ramps - MUST HAVE FOR LOW CLEARANCE CARS
Did these wires heat up using a winch I have a 12000 winch and want to run it from the back of my truck also has this set up served you well?
what borla exhaust did you get? is it the atak? or does borla only make one type?
I had the Borla Atak on this one. I replaced the rear diffuser and dropped the exhaust just below the recommended specs. Never had another issue after that.
Hi thomas!! This is Gaddiel with TE. Cool to see you on youtube!! Keep up the good work.
It's what highway automotive safety wants when corporations half to follow by their safety standards.
Have any long term updates since the install? Still like it and recommend it?
I just sold the truck about a month ago, but the performance held to what I showed in the video. The module is great and I would recommend to anyone.
I realize this video is from a few years ago, but curious to you thoughts on it now?? Also, were you able to still use the little tray that sits to the top of the Ford console. I have 2022 F250 and I got to do something about stuff security. Thanks
Its great...I just sold my 2020 F250 and picked up a 2023 F350 Dually and the safe is already installed! I was not able to use the tray, but I just used the top of the safe for larger items.
I like this, looks clean. I’ve been thinking about putting something like this together right now. Only thing I would add is a fuse. I’d be worried about that hot wire from the battery going to the gas fill neck and getting red hot.
Thanks for the view and comment. Super easy to install and very convenient if you don't want to add an extra battery to your trailer. The only thing I am going to do is add a cut-off switch and mount inside on the dash. I saw one at Harbor Freight for like $7...I'll post a video of that in the next week or so when I get it installed.
My dad had a '73 c10 long bed, and if I could have i wanted to build it just like this, you don't see many long beds lowered, incidentally it was involved in a wreck where almost every inch of it was mangled, I looked forward to seeing your finished product, wouldn't mind owning it, but my better half would kick me out.................
Thanks for the view and comment, and sorry to hear about your dads 73. Once we have this one complete, we have a 76 C-10 we are going build, another longbed. Learned a lot on this one....certainly would do a few things different. Always easier to ask for foregiveness than permission or so Ive been told :)
Engine is in!!!
so close
😂😂😂fckn Randy
Woohoo it’s real close now!!!
Did you look at the Pedal Monster? If so, why do you like the Pedal Commander better since that’s the one you installed. I’m considering both of them. I’ve heard less negative reviews for the Monster. Thank you for your input.
I did not look at the Pedal Monster, but I think this is the one that holds the reverse to OEM standards correct? The Pedal Commander applies the same curve in forward gears or reverse....something I am not a fan of. Thanks for watching! Did you have the Pedal Monster...and if so, how do you like it?
Yes. PM, from what I’ve read does OEM standard in reverse which I like. I have not gotten the PM. Trying to figure out do I really want to do either. Thank you for your response.
Saw your note on the description....lol! I'll make sure to share it with Deb :) Can't wait to see what you do to it. Deb bought a 2023 Dodge Challenger a couple of weeks ago just the V6 model didn't want any speeding tickets with V8 ;) Can't wait for the truck to get cleaned up. We'll have to bring Deb's mom out to see it once it's done.
I think those V6's are pretty strong...certainly can land a you a few tickets!! Im hoping by Christmas to have the Ford done. We primered the 84 Cheyv last night, will check it over later today, see where we need some touch-up, and then will paint it Saturday or Sunday.
Bounce house! Lol
damn straight :) It's pretty big and sets-up quick...not bad if you do not have a booth as it does the trick!!
Priorities haha
absolutely but need to wrap this one up. Have other things we need to get to
Looking Good on the 84 I see the F150 in the back can’t wait for that!
Going to push hard to get this 84 complete and then on to the F150!
OMG...that was crazy!!! I thought you took the summer off due to the heat. Now I know why :( Are you going to rent it out or sell it now?
No, the plan was to finish the Chevy, take about a month off, then start on the F150. Had to put the time on the rental to get it back on the market. Not going to sell, just continue renting.
Unbelievable how people live and treat other people stuff but that house looks amazing now damn good job
Unreal how they left the place, but all good now. Focused on getting it rented again and moving on. Would have been working on the 84 :)
Thanks for the update. Considering this for my 23 HO tremor
Thanks for watching...wish I would have put this on my truck sooner!
@@DesertSpur I tow maybe 10% of the time. How does the high level perform? Are you seeing an mpg increase across the board?
I have not tried it in other settings but I’m holding MPG when I’m not towing.
Blue power to upfitter switch. Where did you ground to?
Apologies, did not see the question. I have a spot on the passenger fender to use a ground.
@@DesertSpur no worries. I ordered the kit without reading that it was for xl or xlt models. I have a Lariat. Did a bit more hack and cut and got them in different locations.
Which motor do you have in your truck!!??
Thanks for watching. I have the 6.7L diesel
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Much appreciated, was looking for a true test. I just bought one yesterday for my F-350 Dually (should be here in day or soo), this was great - Thanks soo much !
Thanks for watching and dropping the comment. I was not sure of this product and with the price, but have to say, no complaints on my end! Let me know how it goes once you get yours installed.
I have a pedal commander on all my vehicles (all ford's) fusion. F150 4x4 lariat and f350 king ranch. I'll never have another ride without the pedal commander
I like it, and still have it plugged in, but switched off. I just installed the Stealth Performance module in my F250 and it is great! Check the review if you have time. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice scenery at the end. Need to get up there to that part of the state and take the camping trailer ;)
Its a nice ride up there, long, especially towing, but not a bad ride at all.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can't wait to see the final stages; It's been along time getting there . I'll be hanging around for the Corvan project. Looks like ya got the axle yoke done already.
The 84 should go much faster now, and then the Corvair. When I bought it I was told it runs, but the motor is apart (well some of it), so we will soon find out. It has not bee on the road since 1987
@@DesertSpur If it's like most Corvair engines; It shouldn't take much to get it going. That's the blessing of a air cooled engine; They are pretty simple to work on; Fingers X.
Can't wait to see the complete deal on the 84 C20. It's pretty straight , & tight . Sorry to hear not much will be done with the 62 Corvan; I was so looking forward to that build; I hope You do a few videos on it before You let it go .
I still have it! The carbs came in last week, along with the yoke I was missing. We will start on that very soon. Not 100% sure what I will do yet, but putting together a plan. Thanks for watching and commenting.
YAY!!! Getting closer to '78 F150 Custom....can't wait :)
F150 is coming soon!!
Hate waiting for parts especially when they don't come in as scheduled.Things should be going pretty quick now, & next video is going to show allot! Time to shake, & bake. Thanks for the update video.
Thanks for watching. It is frustrating for sure. The spindles were almost 6 months to arrive, and they shipped in I believe 3 shipments over that time period. Hardware for the shocks was the wrong hardware, so we have to go pick some up, and then the local parts store forget to order the ball joint. But, all in all, good weekend. This coming weekend will be huge on the truck, as I believe we will get it all back together and ready for sanding.
@@DesertSpur Hope the weather is good for You; I heard You say in the video that your going to take Friday off; That will give Ya extra day. Also that was a nice score on the late Power-Wagon.
Nice color I like it!!!
It’s going to look great when we paint it. Spindles and the bed go on this weekend. Then just sanding and paint
Nice drive Thomas! I believe the McLaren behaves better in the track right ( more handly) BTW, this is Vicente G
Hi Vicente...it handles much different than the GT500, but not all in negative experience. I will have it back on the track in a few weeks and I will push it harder in and out of the corners. That was the first time on the track in it and need a few more times to get a good feel.
Who put a scat against a GT500 😂 even damn Honda could beat the hemi
sometimes it goes like that! Its been about two years, but heading back out to the next AZ event later this year to run the McLaren! Thanks for watching!
Wow, like this. Wish you had shown how it was connected at the truck battery, under the hood.
Thanks for watching!! The battery is just the positive and ground connections. You can add a switch under the hood or the dash to “cut” power to the back if you do not want it hot all the time. I use the trailer so I did not see the need for a switch.
That cab is looking awesome!
Thanks. Its coming along! Will have this weeks video up tomorrow evening or Monday.
@@DesertSpur Thanks ! Looking forward to it .
Thanks for the video, That was good choice , But a tough one on that rear side panel. But it's going to look great when it's done.
Panel arrived yesterday so we plan to get it installed on Saturday!
It takes awhile to get that feel in your fingertips! But the body is looking great. & it's amazing how your fingers can feel all the imperfections, & you can feel more than what you can see. Thanks for the video.
Yes it does!
Mine hits my grill in my xlt , did u have to modify ur grill ?
Thanks for watching. I did not have to modify the grille on this one. I did have a 2018 F250 and I did have to modify the grille to get the lights to mount, but not on my 2020.
Nice! Coming along great! Like what you said just getting out there doing it and learn how to do it. Done a few small DIY proj to my car and having a blast doing them. Great job guys WRENCHING it! No snarkry here 😉
Coming along indeed. We will start putting it back together this weekend I believe, or be in position the following weekend. From there, just final sanding and start painting...then we can start to see the final product!
That sounds pretty neat doing a joint project with a customer . I would have liked to have seen the top of the engine to see if it has the correct FC engine , & the block stamping . The correct engine does add value to the Corvan FC 95 for someone who is interested . Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching and commenting! Once I start the Corvair, we document everything we do and I will go through the engine, transmission, etc. to see what we have....and that will be the first week we start on it. From there, I am hopeful someone reaches out to buy it and we can build it to their spec. I have an 84 Chevy we are building now, and gives an idea of how we go through the process. If interested, please hit subscribe, as I do post weekly updates on the projects.
@@DesertSpurI'm sub. to see the build on the 62 Corvan FC 95.

Lol not a fair fight
yeah, sometimes it goes like that. I lined up against a GTR that smoked me! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Annoying crappy muzak ruined it
This video is kinda comical if you think about it. Other than at the very beginning you never see that Scat, and then it just cuts straight to your time slip. Lmao The music helps too.
I agree...was one of the first few videos I uploaded. Looking back, it was more of passes, except the GT350 and GTR I lined up with. Everything else was just to run the GT500 at max speed with a few mods I had at the time.
About the door not latching, try pulling the inside door handle to the closed position. On my Corvair van, the interior door handle return spring is busted, so the door does not latch unless you close the interior handle.
Thanks for the comment and watching. I tried it, but no luck...and I have the reverse problem with the side door!! I have 5 or 6 weeks before I can start on the van, as I need to finish up the 84 Chevy and hopefully sold!
Work on the custom Ford 150 next ;P The Corvair seems like a pretty cool project. Just waiting for you to work on the Ford :)
Will start it this year for sure...should be after the Corvair 95!
Nice car looking forward to see how it looks restored.
We should start this around May, sooner if we can!
Following this and subbed, it worked out great because I just picked one up.
If you have any questions on what we have completed so far, parts, etc. shoot me a note at desertspur@gmaill.com and I will share anything I can. We have about 5 weeks left on this build, and Ill have the next video up tomorrow night on status.
