I was the opponent on match 5, I got nervous when I saw I was playing against Legend and played the skeleton instead of the commander, after that everything went downhill for me. But pretty happy that I got matched with you Legend

A great addition I find is cavalcade of calamity and whatever the 3 mana version is. When each attacking creature deals 2 damage to face whenever they attack, it adds up incredibly quickly, especially with creatures that create more and more creatures like krenko
Also things that give your creatures haste, like that one urabrask

Thank you for making this! Isshin is one of my favorites in standard and I really wanted to see a viable build for historic.
I will say I think that Raiyuu still would have been a good addition; getting 3 combat rounds in one turn can be devastating if your opponent is unprepared, even if the first 2 rounds has only one creature attacking. It has great synergy with sparring regimen too.
He doesn't work with the multiple triggers, his rule say IF it's the first combat phase, after the 2nd, you can't have a 3rd.
@@rdgcury I use it in standard, it'll trigger 2 additional combat turns off the first combat, but not again. It'll also continue to untap the attacking creatures if you're attacking with one creature.
When sparring regiment was still in standard, this became a very challenging combo for opponents to deal with.

Match 6 truly showcases why haste is one of the most powerful keywords in Magic 💯
Delina, wild mage and Ojer Taq, deepest foundation. 2 cards that synergize ridiculously well with Isshin. The triple token ability stacks with each Ojer on the board so even with poor rolls from delina, if Isshin is on the board it’s an automatic 80+ tokens. Found this out by accident and have been ruining lives ever since😂😂😂

Surprised not to see mishra. Still, I have been trying yo make an Isshin deck for quite a while now
Was one of the last couple cuts, mostly because I couldn’t bear playing Mishra without Dragon Engine but couldn’t make room for both. The competition at 4 mana is quite fierce and creatures without Haste need to be really good.
Looking at your build, I think I see where I did wrong, tried to commit too much to midrange with lots of answers, when I should just go full aggro and win fast or lose.
Being on the play means a lot for this deck
I built a commander deck using isshin not to long ago. I don't know how good it was, I could never get it ordered ( I've never used tcg player) but it'll be nice to see your version. Can't wait to watch!

What about Blade Historian in this deck legend ?, is there an obvious reason to not play it as im still catching since my 16 year break from magic lol
Would be tricky to cast at times and don't think we can realistically rework the manabase for it.
Its effect would be very desirable otherwise!
What are your thoughts on not including Winota in this deck?
A lot of the cheaper creatures are Human, so wouldn't always work as intended.
I'm new to this game n need advice what's the difference between historic , brawl and alchemy

Historic has the biggest card pool and encompasses every card that's on Arena minus a few banned cards.
Brawl is the 1v1 version of Commander on Arena where you build around a Legendary, both Standard and Historic versions exist.
We don't talk about Alchemy.

I built an Isshin brawl deck with a ton of extra combat turn cards. It's probably janky and dysfunctional as hell lol
It's speaks volumes about Adeline that even in a single oppenet format she's still a busted card
She's literally only good in single opponent formats

I've seen the table die turn 2 to a god hand in Adeline in edh idk about only being good in 1v1

I know not everyone agrees, but I'm a big fan of the Alchemy cards. Not necessarily the nerfed/buffed paper cards but specifically the for-Arena-only mechanics. Really fun to play with especially in Historic Brawl.
Ok, man, I am in NO way discrediting anything about this deck, you're a monster uv magic and channel is a veritable cornucopia uv Slap N' Win.
I'm wondering, though, why no Raiyuu?
The deck doesn't have a lot of Samurai or Warriors outside of our commander, so Raiyuu won't have a very big impact if we face removal early.
I wonder why no one seems to want to run Raven's Warning in these decks...

@@MADodds7 Revenge is a more defensive tool, the opposite of what most aggro decks want in my opinion.
I have thought of that - building a Mardu control deck with Isshin. Just because Its possible
8 games all on the play is quite boring and predictable. Should have some games where you are on the draw for better showcasing of the deck, even if they're losing games.
