We tested a number of chargers for the DJI Mini 2 and settled on the home and car charger I explore in this clip. Both of these will quickly charge your Mini 2 batteries in parallel and get you back out flying quickly. The home charger will support 4 batteries and 2 other devices and the car charger supports 2 batteries and one additional device. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks again for watching!

I'm a new drone user. The mini 2 is my first drone. This was exactly the information I was looking for. I also like the pace of the explanation, it was a little quicker and you did not waste time getting to your points. Also, you did not waste time trying to be cute and entertaining. Great job! I will be purchasing the home charger.
And I thought I loved "Coffee"
LOL!!
Try listening at 2x! Ha.. but love the quick, no bs explanation.
I thought this video was set on 1.5x or 2x 😂
Your articulated story telling is very compelling. All them CZcamsrs should do it like how you do it. Im here to learn charging my mini2 quickly. Learned more
That's great information. I will be getting one as soon as I can. Thank you Rick, looking forward to the next videos.
Great video Sir. The energy is great for a fellow quick-minded individual to obtain quick info.
Thank you so much sir for sharing this cool chargers with us!!The home charger is awesome !!😊💯🔝
I will suport anything that will keep me in the air longer. Two thumbs up!
Tom, they work really well and get your batteries charged quickly. We have plenty in stock and can ship them out in the morning. Thanks for your support! Rick
@@Dronevalley This is a great accessory. Too bad the charging hub can only charge one batt at a time.
Same here, you always stirred me in the right direction with your great knowledge .
You are awesome! Thank you. Going on a trip and my buddy bought a mini 2. I said I was going to charge the batteries once I picked it up from the store for him. Plugged the charging port and only one battery began to charge and the others did not. I immediately broke out into a cold Sweat thinking I broke something. After a moment I looked up this video. Thank you for calming my non drone savy electronic nerves🤣. And no I am not flying it over the water on our trip. I am not going to be responsible for breaking anything. Lol you only get 1 shot with these things😲. Great video.
Muchas gracias amigo por su buena informacion
Love this product thanks for your help. 👏
Great stuff, and until today I did not know of your web-site. GREAT!
Excellent video! Thanks!
Thanks for the info, my questions were answered 🤗
Love it, too !! Thanks, Rick !! great stuff/helpful !!
Very good video. I’m with you on your statement to not charge these batteries unattended. I used to fly the original Lipo’s in RC aircraft. I’ve seen fires burn up cars where the batteries were stored. Granted, these have a lot more built in protections, but still hard to completely trust them. When I’m charging these batteries when I can’t monitor them, I do it on my welding table. 😁
I have the same 6-1 charger and love it. By any change do you know a hard case that could hold all that comes on the fly more combo + this charger? Any thoughts?
Excellent job there Rick, thanks for your time with your video's.
Do you recommend the dji charging hub for the mavic mini 2 with a USB type C magnetic part
Thanks Rick. Great Info
Rick, thanks for the time you put into these vids and your obvious passion for drones. I just purchased he Mini 2 Fly More and found that, after hours of charging in the hub, two batteries are good to go but one battery shows the third LED blinking (or the dreaded over voltage condition) yet I was using DJI's cable and charger. I am hoping that the retailer just supplies me another battery but if not what remedy options are there for this battery? A bit disappointing for a brand new drone I haven't even flown yet. I really don't want to put a defective battery in my new drone so I haven't tried to see what the app says about it.
Same happened to mee, just bought one a week ago, noticed today the 3rd battery had blinking leds
Thanks, Rick!
Quite informative video.
Hi Great video! Your web site, however, only seems to show the rapid charger for the Mavic Mini. Unable to find the rapid charger for the Mini 2! Am I missing something?
Dude thx to you im not freaking out about my charging hub i got my first drone today and my dad suprised me i learnt alot and took REALLLYYY beautiful shots but i was wondering why my charging hub was talking forever to charge all batteries so i did alot of research and finally found this video THX!
Hey Rick! Hope you are doing well! Just bought the mini 3 and was wondering if the home charger is compatible with this new model or if they made a new model. Thank you!
Hi, Rick. Great products, great idea, nice price. Thanks.
Dennis, thanks for the support and I hope you're having a great summer so far!
Very Cool! 😎
What do you think about the Anker Powerhouse II 400 ? Im looking at the Bluetti AC50S and Jackery Explorer 500. Any thought on that. Just want to use it for my car to power ipad pro, iphone 12, anker power brick dji mavic and batteries and maybe other small stuff. Thank you.
Hi Rick, thanks for the very informative videos. Could you please one of these days inform us about portable power banks for DJI Mini 2 batteries. There are so many in the market it is impossible to know which one to buy. The questions I have are which ones carry the most charge i.e., how many times they can charge a battery and which are the fastest chargers. Thanks
I have a few 10,000 mah power banks that I use when I go camping. These power banks will fast charge the 3 Mini2 batteries and simultaneously wireless fast charge my phone fully from flat or charge 5X mini2 packs.
What to look for is a power bank that is Quick Charge 3.0 or higher capable. As an example my power banks charge my packs @12.1V 1.47 amps.
There are a lot of companies that say they are QC3.0 but unfortunately most are not, trust me I have tested a lot of no name and name brand units. I ended up with one of the cheapest no name brands that does everything I need wireless fast charge and being able to charge my laptop being as important as charging the Mini2 batteries. Unfortunately its trial and error.
I have one of the house chargers for my MA2. They are excellent and fast.
Great Video and Info, question Rick; would like to purchase the mobile Unit, the larger one but can not find on Amazon nor your website.
Thanks!
Hello great video! , I have a question is it safe to use a fast charging c cable/Wall adapter on the drone and hub when charging??
I only have access to USB ports as opposed to mains sockets (living off large solar panels for now). Are there any multitasking chargers that can either just plug into a USB port, or that have their own battery pack which can be charged beforehand, and then be used while out? I had one of those for my dji spark and would love it if there was a company that made one for the mini 2 :)
Good stuff, Rick !
Rick, at what charge level do you recommend to store the Mini 2 batteries since they are now Li-Po unlike the lithium ion batteries in the Mavic Mini. My charging bank on the Phantom 4 pro keeps those intelligent batteries at half charge. Wondering if that’s what recommended also for the Mini 2. Thanks.
I think i remember seeing 70% for mini 2 batteries. If they are at 100%, they will auto-discharge to the 70% level after a specific time period (7-10 days?). If i remember correctly, its states this in the manual
Hi Rick, I'm looking at the fast charger and #1) it's sold out! #2) Any idea when they're back in stock? Amazon says they don't know.
Thanks a lot,
Simon
Another good review Rick
Thank you
I saw that you don't have this product anymore on your site, but it's still available on Amazon, the question is, would you still recommend the home charger as July 2022 ?
Men... I must comment - What an Energy... Boom! Boom Boom!!
Wow someone sent me here with a link in the comment on my youtube video. Distance test over 6.6 miles I'm glad they did I just clicked the link to purchase these products thanks for posting.
Does it make a difference what USB to outlet adaptor I use? Some claim to be able to charge faster.
Great info Rick
Hi . Thank you. Any update in how can I fast charge the mini 2 batteries. Or this is the last information for us? Thank you
Would be great if they had a charger like that for the MA 2 batteries. Excellent review Rick!!
Alan, thanks for the post and we do have the same chargers for the Mavic Air 2 and the Mavic Mini on the website here if you'd like to check them out - tinyurl.com/y4ehvdm7. Thanks for your support! Rick
Where did you get that Alfred E Neuman? I'm an old Mad Magazine fan from years past, I would like to get me one of those. Great video by the way.
Rick, thanks for the post and I've actually had him since I was a kid and have loved Mad ever since. It's one of my favorite pieces from my younger days and I was waiting for someone to notice him up on the shelf. I'm not sure where you can find one but I'd start on eBay as a lot of that older stuff shows up on there every now and then. Good luck - What, me worry?
Also, put numbers on your batteries. This helps you to use the batteries life evenly
I agree. And I always use them in order.
That's too ocd when 1 battery goes bad just throw it away buy another. I've never had problems no telling the hundreds of flights I've done if not thousands on my batteries still like new
Rick, I'm new at the Drone world...What is your LINK for dji mini-2...or is it the same as the mavic mini.?
thanks for letting me know about it being only a seriel charger, i was wondering why it was only charging one at a time, atleast i can use the drone and a second one in the multi charger thing
I swear by the home parallel charger! Bought one for my Mavic Mini. Works for my Mini 2 also.
Sidney, thanks for the post and the version for the Mavic Mini sort of works for the Mini 2 but because of the different battery tech, it won't fully charge the cells. The Mavic Mini uses a Li-Ion cell and the Mini 2 is a LiPo. The controller inside of the charger is also different so we came out with this new charger specifically for the Mini 2 to fully charge those cells. The parallel charging is awesome! Rick
@@Dronevalley Thanks Rick! I had noticed that the Mavic Mini parallel charger didn't quite top off the batteries for the Mini 2, although they all had green LEDs...
still super helpfull, even for mini four. Kind Regards Roy From Luttenberg, NL
Thanks for the post and we've released 2 home chargers and a car charger you can use with all of the Mini drones. It's available on our website if you're interested.
is it safe to use more powerfull chargers for gopro and dji drones? for example 45w car charger?
Your tips and reviews are outstanding. Just Curious: on the wall behind you there appears to be an uncovered 110v wall receptacle with bare wires. Will this be in a latter video on how to wire up the ultimate charging station.
Chuck, you caught me out with your eagle eyes. We're still sorting out the wiring in the new studio and I'm replacing a lot of the standard switches and outlets with Insteon gear so that clip was in the middle of the conversion. I'll be covering a lot of home automation gear on the channel this year as well as the drone clips so I hope you find that interesting too. I'm glad you enjoyed the clip and be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss anything! Rick
Can you list that specific portable charger. I viewed your Amazon list and didn’t see that one.
Thank you Drone Valley for this presentation. My Question is:: How can I Discharge my Mini-2 Batteries for Storage Mode?? I have been looking at your Web Site on such a Device to discharge my batteries for the Mini-2 since I will be gone away for 6 months and the Temps get warm here in AZ. I do not want to just leave 3 Lithium - Ion batteries in various states of Charge. Thank you for your Reply....Ron
Almost all DjI batteries discharge themselves and put themselves in storage. So you don't have to worry about it. If you don't use the batteries after about 48 to 72 hours they reduce the voltage slowly over time and go down to a storage voltage automatically
Will a portable charging power pack with a USB output of 5V 2 amp damage my DJI Mini 2 batteries or the controller battery?
Hey, awesome video. I am interested in buying the home charger from your website. Do you ship to Canada? If so how long would it take. I am in Atlantic Canada.
Thanks for the interest and we are happy to ship to Canada and have a lot of order sent there every week. We charge a flat $10 to help offset the cost of shipping and these are sent through the Postal Service for the quickest delivery. Times vary but it's normally a pretty quick ship. I have plenty of them in stock and can have one sent today. Thanks for your support! Rick
If your cars has a build in inverter, which one would you recommend? Home charger or cigarette lighter charger.
Excelent question. Did you get any information?
Can the home charger discharge batteries as well or is it too much to ask because you may go out with three fully charged batteries and end up not using them all. The only other way I know is to hover the Mini 2 indoors until you are down to between 50-60%......
If you really need to discharge the mini 2, hang a weight from it, and zip around in sports mode. You get like 1/3 flight time
Great! I bought the standard mini 2 and I plan to get more batteries, should I buy the original charger or the 4x1? Can you charge the original in the car?
Thanks for the post and both work well but the big difference is that the charging hub will only charge a single cell at a time so it could take a few hours to get 3 cells charged (depending on how depleted they are) and this charger works in parallel to charge them all at once so you're out the door in less than an hour. Pretty cool!
@@Dronevalley When is this back in stock?
I understand that they all have different battery constructions so the Mavic Mini and the Mini2 need separate chargers and both are available now. Is there, or will there be a home charger like this for the Air2 ?
Rich, we have versions of these chargers on the website that we've tested for the Mavic Air 2 as well as the Mavic Mini, Mavic 2 and the Phantom 4. Here's a link to the Mavic Air version - tinyurl.com/y4ehvdm7. Thanks for your support, Rick
@Drone Valley
Can this charger be set to stop charging when batteries have reached a certain charge level, like 75%? - trying to figure out how best to optimize the batteries for performance and longevity. According to the Mini 2 user guide it seems like the batteries will be discharged to about 72% if not used for more than 5 days, so I would like to be able to charge to that level if I know I'm not going to use the drone for a while.
Unfortunately all multi-chargers will only charge the batteries fully. The cells in the Mini 2 will auto-discharge through their internal controller if not used right away and manage the charge. My advice is to put them away after a day of flying and charge them again the night before or the morning of your flight. The advantage of a charger like this is that it can charge all of the batteries together so it cuts down the charging time a lot. Thanks for the post and we have plenty of them in stock if you decide you want one. Rick
This is a Great option. Is there one that would work for mavic air 2 also?
I think there is one for all I remember seeing one
Hello Rick, there has been some discussion lately that you should not store your DJI mini 2 batteries either in the drone or the charging hub what is your thoughts on that sir?
Did you que the answered? I will like to know.. thank you. Good question
At 6:16 you earned a sub from me. I've been 0/100 for years on getting a USB cable right the first time. Great vid.
good info despite wordy. thanks.
Thanks for the post and I always add a little commentary about he gear I'm reviewing for background so folks understand how it works with their drones. I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope that you'll stop back soon. Rick
@@Dronevalley The words are appreciated :)
Great Job as usual! Love the fact that you and your team evaluate products before sharing.
Larry, we test a ton of gear every month and only the products we actually use ourselves and can recommend ever end up in a clip and on our site. We'll be here if you have questions or need anything. Rick
Is there something like this for the Mavic Air 2?
💥💥 Lots of great info, thanks. Can someone please tell me exactly what type of charging cable goes from the USB port to the charging hub.? 🤟🏼
Thanks for the post and the charger end of the cable will either be a USB-A (older) or USB-C (newer). The Hub uses a USB-C port for the Mini 2. We have both cables in stock and have also just released an awesome car charger that can charger your hub and controller at the same time. Here's a link to the page - www.dronevalley.com/store/c34/Mini_2.html
I have a question I just got my DJI mini and I put the one battery on the charger got it all charged up the other one started charging and I got called into work thinking I will be back in a few hours I found out I won’t be back until the next day will this hurt the battery or the charger I know the lights go out when it’s fully charged so I’m hoping that means it totally just disconnects from the battery
I would like to find out more about the mini two charger that you were showing on this particular clip, the price and so on and so forth and where to get it could you please give me that answer
Thanks for the post and both of these are listed on our Mini 2 webpage with pricing. We have them in stock and can ship them right out to you. Here's the link - www.dronevalley.com/store/c34/Mini_2.html
Will Hanatora Yx charger showing Mavic also charge Mini 2 safely please, dave UK
Would the home charger work in the field if plugged into a 110v outlet in a Ford F-150?
There is no reason why it would not.
That same company makes a charger for the DJIFPV drone.
Do you know of it?
Will you review it?
Will you be selling it?
Will it work well with the battery backup that you did the review of earlier?
Hi ! The original triple charger for Mavic 1 can be used to charge Mini 2 batteries?
Thanks !
Thanks for the post and you can use it but it will only get the Mini 2 batteries to about 80% of their capacity. The challenge is that the Mini uses a different battery chemistry and there is a newer charger that can handle that. We're out of stock on them right now but expect a master shipment to arrive in about a week if you need one. Thanks for your support! Rick
Hi Rick why is your chargers always out of stock in Amazon
Does the 4 charger work for the DJI Mini SE?
Nice. I think I would prefer the fast home charger and use it with my car with a quality inverter.
Thanks for the post and I do exactly that when I'm on the road. I have an inverter built into my Explorer and just plug the home charger in and it lets me charge everything I need for flying while I'm driving between locations. I have both in stock in case you want to pick one up. Thanks for the support, Rick
Could someone PLEASE help me by telling me the dimensions of the MM2's battery? I've been looking all over for this spec but can't see it anywhere!
Can you use this charger to discharge the also?
Do you ship to aust and what is the cost Regards Kim
You only have cables for the mini2??
Any for the new dji fpv drone?
We have a few cable kits for the DJI FPV. We have a 3-head Hydra and 2 kits that are universal. Here's a link to the site - www.dronevalley.com/store/c35/DJI_FPV.html. Thanks for your support!
Would be so cool if it could also do storage voltage for these batteries (including potential discharge).
It does.
you have a great Radio voice lol
Informative video! If you're going to charge in the car, maybe it would more efficient to get an inverter and plug the 6 in 1 charger into that. So your hatchback/wheels can be your charging station, permanently ( especially in those with 12V outlets in the back of the car, if you don't fly at home.
Wow grape! .😅 Thanks for the tip kabayan 😁
I have the home charger for Mavic Mini. Can I use it for the Mini 2 as well or do I need a different Model for Li-Po batteries????
Yes ,no Problem
Is it bad to charge your battery with an Apple charger that is compatible with the droje
Will all 4 green lights go green and stop when controller and all batteries are charged?
In a future design of the Mini 2 charger, wouldn't it be handier to copy the basic idea of the DJI hub so you can drop your batteries into the slots and not have to fiddle with cables?
Hey guys, how many batteries do you potentially need to fly non-stop provided that you only have one multi-charger hub?
pro trick : watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Hugh Jadiel Definitely, I've been using Flixzone for months myself =)

Is it good for the mini 3 pro also?
great sales man
I just loving sharing gear that I have tested and use myself so others know what works and what doesn't I hope it helped. Rick

@@Dronevalley oh its not a bad thing. It was very informative. So much that I bought the charger
Thx! But the home charger amazon link directs to the car charger.

@@Dronevalley ]
Hey Rick. Is there going to be a fast charger for the mavic 3 ?
Thanks for the post and we are working on 2 new models of fast chargers for the Mavic 3. A home charger that can charge several batteries at the same time and a new car charger (120W) that can be used with the hub to charge them on the go. We currently have a Hydra Cable on the website that you can use to charge several devices from the single port on the DJI charger is that helps for now. Look for these new chargers around Christmas if not soon. Rick
@@Dronevalley For sure. I'll keep a eye on your channel. Thanks Rick.
Since I you can't buy the fly more pack separately, I looked for a way to charge my single battery fast before actually buying the drone... So does this "home charger" speed up the process, if you use it with a single battery...?
Thanks for the post. This charger will charge each cell slightly faster than the drone or a USB wall charger. It's big advantage is that it can charge 4 of them at the same time. I hope that helps. Rick
@@Dronevalley So you can use it, even though you just have a single battery?:D
@@Waz0 Yep, you can charger one or all 4 at the same time.
USB A. The metal sleeve that inserts into the port, has a joint down the center of the BOTTOM side. Also, typically the handle will have a USB symbol on the TOP. If the USB port is oriented horizontally, it should be easy to get it in on the first try ;)
I thought I had youtube speed at 1.25x or 1.5x you were talking so fast :D Great video, informative.
Does the home charger also discharge? So meaning to lower the charge from 100% to 30% for storage of the battery?
Thanks for the post but this charger will only charge the cells. I'm not a fan of having the charger also discharge them as that puts an undue strain on the chemistry of the cells. My recommendation would be to fly the drone down to about 30% and put the cells away for the night. We tested a few chargers for the Phantom 4 that did the discharge and they were really rough on the cells.
@@Dronevalley Thanks a lot for your help...but is there an easier way to reduce the capacity to eg 30% without flying the drone?
I wish I had a decent answer for you but the cells are "conditioned" over time to work with the discharge rates they experience with the quad and with some of the home-built discharge units it happens too fast and can damage the cells. My routine is to fly the drone down to about 30% and put the cells back in the bag. On a side note, this is the perfect excuse to fly a little longer if someone wants you to come home for dinner :)
Hi there, is there a multi charger for my Mavic 2 Pro batteries ??
Thanks for the post and we do have a similar charger for the Mavic 2 cells but because of their larger capacity it only charges 3 of them at a time. Here's a link to the updated version if you'd like to check it out - tinyurl.com/4zoj4wcx. I really appreciate your business! Rick
