- Today on Booze On The Rocks I show you how to make the Sex In The Driveway cocktail. This Blue Curacao Cocktail is definitely a simple college style drink. SEX IN THE DRIVEWAY
2 oz/60 ml Vodka
1 oz/30 ml Peach Schnapps
1 oz/30 ml blue Curacao
2 oz/60 ml Lemon Lime Soda
Method
1. Add first three ingredients to shaker.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. pour into glass over fresh Ice.
4. Top with Lemon Lime Soda.
5. Garnish with an Orange Wedge.

Sounds almost like HOLY WATER. The lemonade in place of the sprite would help. The only difference is, when I make it, I use high proof coconut rum and more pineapple juice. I make it by the gallon and everyone loves it.
1 oz. (30ml) Vodka
1 oz. (30ml) Rum
1/2 oz. (15ml) Blue curaçao
1/2 oz. (15ml) Peach Schnapps
4 oz. (120ml) Lemonade
Splash Pineapple Juice

Here's the thing .. you got vodka and a bunch of' sweet stuff, Peach alcohol/curacaco/orange garnish/lemonlime sprite (which has sugar) The pineapple works because it's tart to balance the sweet. And yes, it's a kids drink, we'll drink anything. And it's blue - electric blue, so heck, yeah!!
So, ditch the vodka for a less brutish white spirit, and certainly ditch the orange, cause it plays with your nose, the peach should be the forward note, and if you want it still sweet, use lemonade not sprite lemon/lime. You get the lovely blue, but a subtler drink. Great Video; cause it's not really a fail, but you could've shown us the beautiful green that the pineapple addition made *winks*
Those are great points, the lemonade would have been a nice sweet/tart addition and pineapple juice would have given it a really nice color and flavor. Electric Blue is awesome :)

I think It needs a good lime wedge or two squeezed in there, I had the exact same problem when I made the beach water so I squeezed half a lime in there and it turned out perfect.

We do one ounce of citrus vodka instead of the 2. The one we had was layered ice and lemon slices in a highball glass. Our glass had three layers.

I finally got myself some peach schnapps, made this drink for my father and myself and we both enjoyed it.
I don't know if it helps or makes a difference, but Schweppes Lemonade soda worked for us. Perhaps that's an idea moving forward for yourself.

Your right too much vodka but to keep 60ml and the strength I done 30ml of sprite and 30ml pineapple juice then topped of by squeezing half a lemon then a lemon to garnish I think your like it too. Mix 30ml peach schnapps 30ml sprite 30ml pineapple juice then mix the 30ml blue curacao with 60ml vodka then slowly poor get a good layered coctail. Squeeze lemon add a lemon slice for garnish. I'm new to coctails but watched a few of your videos and I think im a pro now love your knowledge.

My son is a bar manager. And it's an ounce and a half of Vodka. Half ounce of Peach schnapps, half ounce of Blue Caroco.

If something tastes off in my drinks I always just add simple syrup. I'd rather it be sweet than just keep adding juice or more soda.

Hello Mohammad. I would use a lemon lime soda, lime juice and a blue curacao syrup. Blue Curacao itself does have alcohol in it. However to get around that you could make your own non-alcoholic Blue Curacao syrup. I put a recipe below for you:
Ingredients
Zest of 2 Oranges
240 g of sugar
240 ml water
1 cinnamon stick.
15 ml Blue Food Colouring
Method
1. add all of the ingredients to a pot on the stove except the food colouring.
2. Heat until the sugar is absorbed into the water and let simmer for 8-10 minutes.
3. Strain the mixture in a bowl.
4. Add the food colouring.
i tried this yesterday, it wasn’t really balanced like you said. try doing 1 oz vodka, 1/2 oz peach schnapps, 1/2 oz blue curacao, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup and lastly 1 oz coke… taste just like cotton candy

My guess is the Peach Schnapps you used. Maybe try another peach option.
That may very well be it. there might also be to much Blue Curacao.
Change the vodka for tequila, maybe and add lemon, keep everything else the same. I think that will ch age the flavor profile.

probably, i did let one sit with the ice in until it diluted and it was better. I think the ratios are off, I will adjust and come back to it with a remake.
Great video DAVID!!! As a vodka lover, it pains me to say this. I would NOT use vodka in this cocktail. I would use a split base of tequila and rum. I think I need some human trials......
You are right, the other way I have seen it is rum. I tried that after and It did not work. We should test out and re-film How to Properly Have Sex in The Driveway.

You could that would lighten the ABV a little and dilute the opposing flavors. If you try it, let me know how it turns out for you.

Why strain?
It keeps the ice crystals out. But you can choose not to strain if you want
To make it test better put a half ounce of blue Curacao
I will definitely try that and see how it changes the flavor.
Instead of Vodka you should try it with 1800 Tequilla

Bro I think you should bring down the Vodka content. 60 ml is a bit too much for this drink. Maybe 30 ml would work better. 20 ml of each ingredient worked out fine for me.
