Reading some of the comments, do not change the speed and detail of your videos, It is real quality and very informative. People who are interested in doing nails properly or are already professional techs like myself will understand why the video is this long. Each step is important to get perfection! 😊
Hey do you wipe with acetone after you cure the base coat???
No, you don't wipe the base coat with anything.
Thank you! 😘
I have a question , since your a nail tech , what is a cleaner , the thing she used before the protein base , I’m a beginner so I need help 🥺
@@vsan362 some gel polish or topcoats require to wipe off after curing cause it leaves a sticky layer and you will wipe of with alcohol.. it depends on the gel polish if it says soak off then you will need to wipe
To be honest, I think you “nailed” it!
Haha i love your humor😂😜😂😂
Hor hor hor very funny 😄
Fell asleep multiple times while watching this.
Hahahahaha YES!!!!
Right on the nail
That is the first tutorial I found for natural nails with all the steps and great tips! Thank you 🙏
I like the little wiggle you do to the brush before the stroke. I've noticed you get close to the cuticle without getting polish on your skin. Neat trick. I'm gonna start doing that. Thanks.
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore and the weather over there
You are incredibly artistic. Best polish technique I have seen. Impeccable
Thank you so much, Karen ❤️ I really appreciate your comment!
The shape of ur nails really helps the painting process. Mine are so curvy that the polish is dripping on the sides all the time so i have to be careful with the amount on the brush. Beatiful and flawless work
Thank you, that is true, my shape is quite easy. Luckily with gel you can take your time and build up the color slowly 😊
Potted tick gel stays on the place where you put it. Try that🤔
I have a very strong c-curve as well and have found that applying very thin coats is the best way for me. This way I get complete coverage without having the polish run to the sides.
Yes 👍 take it easy and slow, it's best to avoid flooding the cuticles when it comes to gel polish
Omg that pink was calling my name in the thumbnail! How beautiful
When I paint my nails 💅 I take my time doing them because nobody wants messy nails you did a amazing job ❤️ on your nails keep up the good work
When l paint my nails ❤❤ l take my
The first time I used gel polish on my nails didn’t go so well, the next day the polish was peeling off even after using the Light the polish was still wet a little bit, so last night I came up with a idea to try the “Clear Fast Gel which is just a normal polish but has a sticky base to it, i took the shine off the nails and then I painted the gel polish on I cured it under the light for 60s and used the fast clear gel and also cured that for 60s two time and the fast clear gel polish will dry in seconds. I would highly recommend this it works. If you are anyone that experienced this or if you experienced it many times I would definitely highly recommend this method 😘
I like the tip with the small brush! Often I cannot get close enough to the cuticle without flooding it. Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
What number or name of the brush I need it!
Indigo Nails Master Art 004
Yes you did an excellent job-absolutely perfect and thanks so much for the tip on the tiny brush👍💕😊
@Paulina's Passions what happens if u accidently get fel polish on your skin then into the uvlight?
In school right now and this helped me so much, my problem was that I felt no matter how much I would put the nails under the light, it just would not dry. Thin and even coats is what I need
Even and thin(!) coats are the key 👍 it's better to apply several thin coats than one thick layer. Hope this helps. Have a great day ❤️
Thank you so much for a very to the point video with no extra BS. It is highly appreciated. Super helpful contact. This definitely gave me some tricks that I wouldn’t have thought of like using a small nail brush my cuticle area. Thank you again! ❤
Superb tips but had to disable audio track finding it distracting. Would prefer your voice talking us through.
True i support💪
I followed these steps and my nails came out great!!!
That is truly a PERFECT gel polish application! I watched some other video last night that _claimed_ to be the "perfect" method, but she left a 3 millimeter unpolished border all the way around her cuticles, sidewalls and all the way to the LONG tips! I couldn't believe how ghastly it looked when she was done! Of course the comments were about 95% negative and she had the nerve to JUSTIFY leaving that much space around her cuticles and sidewalls! It rather looked like she had polished her nails in front of a firing squad, ready to fire if she got any polish on her skin. It was crazy. If she were my manicurist I'd fire her! On the other hand, if YOU were my manicurist I'd NEVER leave, my butt would be in you chair every 2 to 3 weeks come hell or high water, and I'd talk you up on Yelp! and every other form of social media out there. Your attention to detail makes YOU a GREAT manicurist!
👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👌❗❗
calichef1962 lmao,what’s the video called
@@cameronwest9745
Yess what's the video called?? @calichef1962
I’m so glad I found this. I practically burned off my fingers curing too long.
I'm trying to take care of my nails because I realized it's a big boost to my self-esteem. Thank you so much for this video! It's very informative
The only problem is that my hands are very small and my fingers look like sausages, sometimes it's almost impossible to polish without staining everything 😣 I would like to have delicate hands
I'm so happy to hear that you are doing some self-care ❤️😘
Remember, short nails can look amazing too. There's nothing better than when your nails are well taken care of and your cuticles are hydrated 💅
@@PaulinasPassions It's amazing that you're still responding to comments after three years, thank you so much 💕
I try my best 😘❤️ have a good day
This is an amazing video. Even though it’s some years old still very informative and helpful. Thank you
OMG thank you so much for the tutorial as I want to be a nail technician so I start practicing now and your tutorial really helped me alot
Those nails look really nice. This taught me a lot, including how impatient I am when doing my nails, which is why they look messy. Hate that music, but that's why God invented the mute button. Thanks for video!
I think more like a smart developer at CZcams who invented the mute button.
You made me laugh 😂
God invented the mute button? That’s legit the dumbest sentence 😂
Paulina's Passions LOL
definitely the worst music
One thing I wanted to ask was about using the dry top coat. I find sometimes this cracks on top of the gel polish on the natural nails. Because it is quite a hard top coat.
You are right, I've noticed that too! There are some dry top coats that are more flexible. For example Tip Top from Indigo - I'm sure other brands have them too right now. I also love using it, because you can apply a thin layer and the application is still very smooth.
Professional care. Beautiful color.
Thank you 😘
Absolutely beautiful!!! I just recently started doing my own nails since the pandemic so this was very informative. Thanks so much and you have a new subscriber. :-)
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore and the weather over there
I was looking for a thorough tutorial but this tested my patience majorly.
I legit have to do gel cause I can never wait for nail polish to dry
All you'd have to do is get a better topcoat. The one I use is dry to the touch in 3-5 minutes yet thick enough to cover glitter. I paint my nails every night then go right to bed.
Same!!!
Right!? Haha same here!! I was so excited to try gel nails
I really appreciate your advice ♥️ thank you for your sharing Paulina !
I am glad you liked it! I hope it will help you with your gel application 😘
Paulina's Passions hey we have the same name lol 😂
Just love that colour. Divine.
Beautiful ❤️ , very well detailed and makes outmost Sense ...now this is me heading to try our . 🤦🏾♀️...though the patience required is on another level
I know this was posted 5 years ago but it helped so much!
I'm really glad to hear that! ❤️
It’s a nice vide but OMG this music giving me headache.
Do you recommend curing one nail at the time or painting all the nails then cure?
Yes, you can do it. It definitely helps at the beginning, especially when the gel polish is a little thinner.
If I painted my nails like this, it would take me 5 hours to do my manicure.
Takes me around 50 minutes to do my two hands with gel polish and it's still so worth it!
@@anapitu72 hey, how long those nails last for you ? because for me its maximum a week and i will get a chip, so maybe I am doing it wrong...
@@ewelinastolarska you may be aren't cleaning the nails properly. if you have any oils on your nails it won't last as long
MiamiPush2theLimit That’s how I started. Learn how to do it well, then comes speed 👍🏽
@@ewelinastolarska chances are you're not prepping the nail properly there will either be dust on the nail or excess skin still on there or you're not using a nail dehydrator or primer or you've over saturated the nail I do my own and can get at least a month out of them whether it's an extension or just plain old gel polish
Wow really nice ! Thank you so much ! I was looking for video like this , because I am new in this and recently I started to do my nail by myself ☺️
I'm really glad to hear that you've found this helpful. Good luck with doing your nails and most importantly, enjoy ♥️
I did it like this and It came out beautifully ❤️
I'm very happy to hear that ❤️
Love the step by step...and how you are so close to the nail..great video
Beautiful, thank you very much. I now my mistakes. I’m ready to try again 👏👏👏
Thanks for the nail tips I'll try it one day when I get older
Been looking for a good polish line that I can do at home n looks like a million bucks. Tnx for the vid!
Simple and straightforward...thank you ❤️
Awesome detail in educating Gel polish application 🙌🏽
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore and how is the weather over ther
thank you so much! This was so helpful I practically followed step by step and paused when needed, which for me was often! 😂
Well, thank you. My edge always split...so will try harder sealing. Plus; the double layering of the base might just do the trick also.
I love this color! What beautiful nails!
Thank you so much! I agree, this color is amazing.
These are great tips...I already know my nails will come out better. Thank you :)
Perfect fantastic and I learnt about the nail art brush for cuticle work and you work on ONE NAIL ONLY which is what one needs, I hate those who show five or ten fingers , painful
This looks better than the mani I pay for, defo gonna try doing my own or go somewhere else to get my nails done from now on 💅
I like this video clip its shows step by step in slow motion I have never tried gel nail polish by looking at this video I might try it but the only issue is will it help your nail to grow strong because my nail is very week and bridal.
Only way I can grow my nails out is if I have them painted with gel. It really helps them stay stronger and not snap so easily. I don't think I've ever broken a nail while I had gel polish on.
@@am97341 That's very interesting ...nice point.
I wish I hadn't watched this, but I'm glad I did. My nails are so bad, and I still paid for them. I really need to learn to say I don't like it, stop, fix it or I'm not paying. My nails are so thick and horrible. I'm embarrassed to say I paid for them.
Hey Paulina, is it possible to do the whole hand before curing it, so cure the whole hand between each layer, or would it be better to do it a finger at a time? Thanks! x
Can I skip the primer and start with base coat!?
Yes 👍
Wow I wish I could do nails like that looks stunning
I'm sure you could do this yourself with a bit of practice ❤️
Thankyou so much I learned a lot ..even for showing the products ❤
The colour is gorgeous💗
Perfect video! Thank you so much for being in depth and sharing your techniques!
Love the pink nail polish I love opi nail polish ❤
Wow. These are beautiful
I'm always flooding my cuticles....time to get that super tiny brush !!!
Such perfect application 💗💅 What's the best way to then remove gel polish off natural nails please?
What would happen if you didn't have any prep, base or top coat?
Hi. The gel polish would come come come off, as it has to be applied onto something sticky for it to last.
Beautiful!.....but do I really need to buy all those products just for a test run to see if I like using gel polish?...and do I need a LED curing light?....its all new to me.
Hi. To use gel polish you need a lamp, otherwise the gel will never 'dry'.
Omg what a perfect 👌 way to make any one work with these stuffs specially gals lik me who don't know the abcd of this... Thank u love 😍 😍 😍 😍
Wow perfect down to the line!
Thank you so much dear you nailed it ❤
Wow stunning ! You must be a nail tech !
I was wondeeing why you shouldn't use cuticle removers?
You can use them, but not directly before applying the gel. Your nail plate should be dry and cuticle removers will likely leave some moisture on your nail.
Very neat job!
Thank you so much, Safina 🌹❤️
Hi, lovely video. Just wondering, if you're using a clear gel after the base coat, do you still need 2 coats of base coat?
This may be a very dumb question. Do you wipe your nails in between coats? If so what with? Thanks!
I like the pink nails polish
I heard that for gel polish it’s not necessary to use primer and someone said that she never recommended it as it is strong?
For some people it's necessary, for some it isn't. If your gel polish holds without any problems then you don't need it.
@@PaulinasPassions thankss
What I've learned from this video is that you need patience to have a beautiful outcome 😊
Is the primer required? Or can I begin with the base coat if I don't have the primer? What will happen if I do this?
How long does the mani last in the average case? Do you soak off?
i have a question do you have to apply primer or can you just but on the base without primer
You can skip the primer 👍
Amazing and too the point
Thank you! I will try this on my next set
I needed this!! The nail salon is outrageously expensive and my cuticles grow too fast!!
Very detailed video ❤..love it
Im sorry if I missed it but about how long does the polish last ?
it'll be so incredible to get a manicure.
We have the same nameeeeeeeee!!!! lol Now I can watch you work. Already satisfied without watching lol.
Hi Paulina, do you cure each finger individually as you paint, or can you paint and cure the whole hand? Thank you!
Hi ❤️ great question! It really depends on the design or product. If I feel like the gel is moving around too much, I'd cure individually, but I also cure the whole hand when I'm confident it will stay in place.
@@PaulinasPassions I’m going to be using the Essie Gel line, have you tried it?
I have not tried it. But let me know how you like it.
@@PaulinasPassions I will 🥰💖
Thank you so much for the best tips
Really helped a lot thank you sooooooooooo much❤😊
Is it suppose to feel sticky after first layer of gel nail polish? After it cures? I feel like I’m doing too much time under lamp? But if it is suppose to be that way for top coat…it makes sense?
Yes, all gel polish is sticky after you cure it in the lamp (except maybe some top coats). It's supposed to be that way, because the layers bond with each other better. I hope this helps.
Wonderful job, I say total perfection!!! I like the shape and length of your nails, mine are the same length and shape too. 🤗🌺🌷🥰👍💓
Very helpful ❤tx for sharing
Your manicure turned out so nice... I like it. =)
Beautiful
Hi what watt lamp do u cure your nails
Hello ! I started to paint my nails with gel polish a few months ago and I still have the same issue. The manicure lasts for like one week and then the polish is starting to peel off around the cuticule.
I saw you recommended a 48W lamp though mine is only 12W. Do you think it could come from that ? Or is it just about my poor application technique ? 😂
Thanks for you help!
The problem is probably not your lamp (although I do recommend a strong LED lamp to avoid gel related allergies). Did you make sure to remove your cuticle? The nail plate must be spotless and any oil must be removed. You can also try buffing your nail at the cuticles slightly more.
Paulina's Passions Thanks for you answer ! I was actually not buffing my nails before painting them... I did my manicure yesterday and I buffed them so finger crossed...
About the cuticules at first I was not paying much attention but even when I thought I did a good job removing them it peeled of like a week and a half after application...
I will let you know how it's doing with the buffing :)
Thank you!
Does it work if I don’t use the led ? I wanna do it myself cause I hate going out to do manicure but I don’t have this led machine.
With gel polish you need to have a LED light, otherwise it will never 'dry'.
I can apply primer to my nails even if i’m just doing gel polish?
Does anyone know if you can just add a regular gel clear topcoat to your nails? Without polish underneath.
Do you mean gel top coat on bare nails? You cannot do this.
beautiful job !! where can I get this thin brush for edges in US ? unbelievable product , love that , never seen at a salon
I _highly_ recommend Maniology.com - I've been getting cleanup brushes from them for years. All their stuff is high quality.
What happens if you don't use primer? Is it a must
If you don't have problematic nails, it should be OK.
Thank you for teaching me
Love the color
Wowww thank you 😊
When you turn your hand upside down you dont create a c-curve , you create apex!! Nice video!
Sorry, English is my second language, but you are probably right. C-curve is a term used in the nail community, so if I sad 'apex', nobody would know what I'm talking about :) But I appreciate your comment.
She's from Poland (I'm too) and she didn't make a mistake, because in Polish industry we call apex "krzywą C" = C - curve. But that what others call "C - curve" we call "tunel" :)
Paulina's Passions c curve and a apex is not the same ;)
