- This year, we lost one of Deep’s dear friends Timothy, who was sadly eaten by a predator. We can’t bring back Timothy, but we can try to make oceans safer for cephalopods on World Octopus Day. Vought is proud to offer continued support, thoughts and prayers for Timothy’s family!
Deep, losing a dear friend can be hard to swallow, I can hardly stomach it. I'm sure you have a lot on your plate so it's awesome to see that you still have such a charitable appetite for Timothy!

As a marine biology and zoology masters student all I can say is well done Deep and thank you. All the hard work and care you put into saving our oceans and spreading the word is as beautiful as our mollusc friends. Happy octopus day 🐙

Vought is so generous to do this, there's been so many times when I've seen people eating octopus and thought to myself "you would seriously support the eating of such beautiful creatures? It's sick" thank you deep and vought for doing this
I heard in some places they eat them alive. I truly could NEVER forgive someone who would do that. Truly only a sick and pathetic man could eat such creatures, the amount of suffering an octopus would go through as it was digested alive, truly a heinous thought to think about. I'm so glad The Deep is doing all he can to protect these majestic animals, no one can better understand them than someone who can hear their every murmured screams.
Octopuses have nine brains, so you can imagine how intelligent they must be. Eating them is like nine times worse than eating a person.

Imagine not only having the weight of the world on your shoulders as a member of the Seven but also finding the time to take on such initiatives as the Timothy Foundation. The Deep is truly one of the greatest heroes and his heart shines through. I feel like he makes me a better man. My wife and I donated to the foundation, it was money well spent.
