Definitely deserves a cutscene view through. The actual first cutscene in the game (not the teaser that was video 1 today) gives a kinda explanation of the characters reason for being where he is.

I think this is my own personal favorite in the series that I've played, and Pagan Min is definitely my favorite villain, if only for his fashion sense!😂 Seriously, it's really a toss up for me between 3 and 4/Vaas and Pagan Min, they're both so good in their own ways. First Far Cry game I played and it was a blast!! There was so much freedom with the exploration and you weren’t limited based on how far into the story you got. Wingsuiting around was a blast and the gunplay was great!! Might play the 5th and 6th game eventually, maybe even Primal but for now I’m happy with Far Cry 4!!
You might like primal if you liked 4. Since I believe it's set in the same area like how New Dawn was.

The only problem with Far Cry 5 for a lot of people was they were expecting commentary on the political climate at the time and it just wasn't that so I feel the game and the villain wasn't given a fair chance by a lot of people

The far cry series will always have a special place in my heart. My favorite being far cry 5 I absolutely adore the setting the atmosphere and I absolutely melt over the music in far cry 5 up there as one of my favorite ost with minecraft

You guys should totally check out Far Cry 5! It’s set in Montana, and the main villain, Joseph Seed, is one of my favorite games in video game history! Right behind Handsome Jack from Borderlands, of course.

Aah FarCry 4 is such a fun game, definitely my favorite along with 3 (Pagan is just as charismatic as Vaas but in a different way). That'd be awesome if you reacted to all cutscenes like you did for FC 3 !

Literally the most morally virtuous ending for Far Cry 4 is achieved by doing exactly what the villain says at the beginning of the game and skipping the entire game for the bonus ending, accomplishing your original mission and not tampering in the affairs of Kyrat. Because no matter what you do during the actual events of the game, all benefits to the nation of Kyrat under your aid are shortsighted and make things even worse for the nation's future. I think it's obviously meant to be a commentary about how big nations will exploit destabilized nations no matter what you do, but I still think it's funny that just leaving things alone is arguably better than interfering. The villain would have been deposed eventually anyway, and by not interfering it's technically not your fault what happens after...
You guys should react to all trailers from a game called, "This War of Mine".
The game differs from most war-themed video games by focusing on the civilian experience of war rather than front line combat. This War of Mine is inspired by the Siege of Sarajevo which happened in 1992 - 1996 during the Bosnian war.
It's a very relevant theme for our time as you know, because of Russia and Ukraine.
Such a cool idea but I could never survive more than a few weeks haha. I guess that might be the point though.

By the way, for Far Cry 5, if you ever decide to do a journey for that game, I’d suggest using the video by the channel “Gamer’s Little Playground”, since they go through each of the antagonists in order rather than switching back and forth
In Far Cry 5, you can pick which order you can go after each villain. Some people would flip flop between villains, while others, such as the channel I mentioned, would focus on one antagonist before moving on to the next
And for Far Cry 4, there are points in the story where you may receive different missions and a different ending depending on which path you take. So if you do decide to do a journey for that one, just keep that in mind

You actually get to play as pagan min in pagan min control dlc for far cry 6 and all the other villains from the recent games that came out all the way through 2012

I love Far Cry so much, blood dragon is my favourite theme, its all 80’s retro cyberpunk, neon dragon wastelands. And classic 80’s Schwarzenegger action and comedy. If you guys haven’t checked it out i would recommend!

So this is the Far Cry game that made me start to play the franchize again. So you play as Ajay Ghale a Kyrati-American, who is returning to the country of his birth to bring his mothers ashes home tolay to rest. And things just go to heck from there! If you should ever play the game, at the in the begining stay around at the party and see what happens or finish the game first and come back and play it againt, as it give you some information about the story. I refuse to buy Ubisoft games these days becomes of all the abuse and toxic corporate culture around them, but back in the day I loved me some Far Cry, and this was the best of all of them. Absolutely gorgeous game, lots of fun stuff to do, lots of great weapons (including one of my favorite crossbows in any game and a wonderful little silenced makarov), a strong character focus, and those awesome Shangri-La mythological segments where you get the magic bow and tiger companion.
Hear this a lot about a lot of game companies. Obviously law suit at Blizzard too. Hopefully it’s all coming to a head and the culture at these companies changes

This far cry game looks hecka fun and interesting to make me wanting to play the game for myself 😁 also I don’t know if this game have Couch co-op as it seems like “Guns for Hire” moment during gameplay. With that said, is this game feature a Yeti boss or is it a false rumor I heard?

Welcome to FC4, you assume the role of Ajay Ghale (Ah-Jay Gah-Lay or Ay-Jay Gay-Yul I'm helping you sound it out.) Ajay is the son of Mohan Ghale and Ishwari Ghale. The villain is Pagan Min; FC4 is a twisted love affair gone all the way wrong because Ajay is in his mother and father's native Kyrat (Kee-Raht) to lay his mother's ashes to rest as she had passed away in the U.S. and her dying wish was to be returned to Kyrat to be with Lakshmana. Lakshmana is the daughter of Ishwari and Pagan which makes her Ajay's deceased half sister of whom Ajay's father Mohan had killed. Mohan's name is important because he was the former leader of the group called the "Golden Path", a resistance to Pagan's royal army. In truth FC4 is extensively merciful in the story department because Pagan legit knew Ajay's deceased mother, so the whole game is one big misunderstanding and Ajay being swept up into the heat of things by the reputation of his name alone. In truth Pagan never wanted to hurt Ajay, which makes him the total opposite of Vaas Montenegro who's basically a psychotic crack head (No offense to Michael Mondo who did well portraying him.) Of course Pagan is no saint, he's ex triad, son of a triad boss, killed his old man, cut a bloody swath through the chinese underground and became the dictator of Kyrat...more over he's a broken man who just wanted a family to raise and love, and lost both in the process. Overall FC4 is basically a fucked up love story, where as FC3 was "survive, kill, survive, kill, get high, fuck psycho bitch, get stabbed or leave." FC4 runs on the same engine as FC3, got a few new bells and whistles and introduces the grappling hook which is now a franchise staple for verticality, of which there's a lot of that in FC4 and FC5. FC4 is also a little more lenient on the fall damage but not overly so. You now have an annoying auto-craft when you gather green leaves for healing syringes and the currency are Kyrat rupees which have a very high numerical value. Just like FC3 you can unlock weapons by hitting "radio towers", but now you can do so by stealing supply convoy trucks...oh and now you have vehicle hi-jack take-downs and unlike FC3 where your melee weapon was a machete, you now sport a kukri knife which in fact was used by the Gurkhas (Gerk-ha-s), an elite fighting force from Nepal that fought as allies to Britian and still do to this day, they are highly feared. If a Gurkha draws their kukri in anger, it MUST draw blood, no exceptions...such is the myth or rule. So welcome to Kyrat...and your best friend is Longinus. No seriously look up Longinus cutscenes from FC4, he's the best part of the entire damn game, hope he comes back in future titles.

Funny thing about Pagan Mins "Party" in the beginning, you actually go there at the start of the game and can end the game right there by staying at the party instead of fleeing when it gets crazy. Neat little idea. Apart from that, Far Cry 4 was the moment for me when the series started to go to shit. Far Cry 1,2 and 3 are all very different games when compared to each other, Far Cry 4 is basically just a re-skin for 3. They found their formula, and 4 was the moment they started to just ctrl c + ctrl v stuff, and it was blatantly obvious. Also, take care when reacting to Ubisoft trailers in general. None of the games ever look nearly as great as they do in their trailers, and not only are graphics usually downgraded a lot, they also have a habit of showing gameplay which doesn't actually exist in that form in the game.
We have to check out the first Far Cry games to see how they changed between the first three 🤔
I'd agree it's a reskin of FC3, but it does everything better than FC3 with the exception of Vaas. Pagan Min is a phenomenal villain, but Vass is an all-time villain.

I don't know if you've ever played a FC game before but, if not, do yourself a favour. They are so much fun. This and #5 are the best I've played. #6 was okay but not as good as this one.

People give Min a lot of crap after Vaas, but I actually think he does a great job of blending the best aspects of Hoyt and Vaas into one.

In terms of gameplay I think Far Cry 4 did a lot to add to what Far Cry 3 had to offer and at the time great game, but the story like every other Far Cry game since 3 leaves something to be desired. Asides from Primal (which is itself a middling game imo) all the Far Cry games have been riding 3's coattails in terms of having a compelling villains and themes trying to catch the lightning in a bottle again without really understanding what made Far Cry 3 so great. Nowadays the lack of innovation and the aging design philosophy has had this franchise needing to take a step back from the two-year devcycle Ubisoft loves so much and try and innovate again.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Jason Brody and Vaas are mirrors, Jason reflects a journey that Vaas has already traveled on. Vaas was not a villain who was loud and charismatic and interesting for his own sake he served the greater story the game is trying to tell about man vs nature and man vs society. They basically started doing the charismatic villain thing without understanding that nuance. Just to have them on-screen to charm audience without saying anything.
All the other protagonists are boring and have no arc like Brody did. Ajay is dull, Rojas is dull, in Far Cry 5 you don't even get a name they literally gave up, You're just "the Rookie Sheriff". They think people just line up for these villains played by great actors like Troy Baker and Espocito, but don't get that Vaas is just a small part of the picture, Vaas dies half-way through Far Cry 3 to fuel Jason's evolution.
Ubisoft is a very large multi-national corporate conglomerate who don't want to commit to hard to selling these adult themes in the game for fear of offending anybody. But they keep marketing their games as political and shy away from expressing those themes
Far Cry 4 becomes about two sides of the rebellion against Pagan Min one traditionalist and one who wants to buck tradition. It's actually something, but they never commit or flesh it out like Far Cry 3. It's just trying to ask where the player stands on that issue.
Far Cry 5 is a total cop-out since it's about a conservative christian cult, they totally cop-out by saying nothing especially due to the state of America during that period the game released in. Cult evil, shoot cultists. Ending is also really bad.
Far Cry 6 is the worst, never delves into why regimes rise and fall, factors in the Western world that prevent other countries from becoming economic powers, how revolutionaries often become even more horrible than the dictators they overthrow once they come into power once they see how dire the economic situation is. Nope just shoot bad guy haha.
It's all marketing. Reskins for the same game being made 100 times over interesting place, interesting villain give it a try. Nope just another shoot-em-up

Pagan Min, The Villain of Far Cry 4
Not as Great as Vaas but he has his moments
i think he's just as great, just never had enough screen time as Vaas beside his DLC in far cry 6 which showcased more of his character.
also like that he's not a carbon copy of Vaas and is actually different from him. Vaas is a likeable psychopath while pagan with all his issues and tendencies is just likeable without having to act like a psychopath all the time
Tough to compete with Vaas but glad to hear he is still an enjoyable villain 😈

Omg far cry 4 is such a great game it's a bit old now but i still play it a lot
But it has a crappy ending and the game lies to you i don't wanna spoil it for you but it has a secret ending that shows you something that shocked me and many others hopefully you'll see it and see through the game I'd suggest keeping an open mind if you play it and hopefully you find it

What i will tell you rn you are Ajay Ghale an American who is visiting Kyrat to spread your deceased mother's ashes but you are attacked by the Royal Army they were supposed to STOP the bus not SHOOT it :)
The main 'villian' is Pagan Min he is your Uncle and the king on Kyrat but the Terrorist group the Golden Path is fighting to dethrone him
I'd love to tell you the Secret Ending and the secret of Pagin Min but I'd rather not spoil it unless you fail to figure it out yourselves
I'd recommend playing Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5 is also amazing and fun and crazy
