Fun fact about Adult Swim: The guy who voiced the “Welcome to Glory Sound Prep” and the other blurbs, Chris Sabat, also voiced Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z. In a way, Piccolo is technically part of the “GSP universe,” if you will, hence to the reference to the planet Namek(also a DBZ reference) in the opening line. Jon was a huge fan of the show as a kid, which explains why he wanted Chris on the track, and called it Adult Swim as well. And as a full-circle moment, Chris got Jon to voice a small character in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie. So yeah, Jon Bellion is a bonafide nerd.
Jon is truly one of the greatest producers/ songwriters out there, he has won 2 Grammy for songwriting and producing and just has been nominated for his 3rd, I found a list of the songs he wrote and produces, defiantly song recognizable songs.

I love how much you loved Mah’s Joint. which is about his grandmother that unfortunately passed away due to alzheimers. lyrics like “whats the point of making memories when you cant even find them when you’re 70” hit super hard when u know this. and his mom had to take care of her “your mother was a mother to her mom”

love the video. Something I keep finding funny is everything you dislike initially or have an issue with ironically has a lot of layers lyrically to them, and Jon does focus spritually in his own way

Jon Travolta - jon bellion, travis mendes (jon’s best friend/vocalist) and ric volta (producer). I take it as an ode to the three guys. I thought it was corny until i realized it was more than just growing up and changing like travolta
Okay I feel like you need to listen to the third Ernest break down adult swim to really get the bars in the song and just how clever they are. Jon went absolutely crazy on that.

why is everything you have to say so negatively spun. You'll say something like "oh I like this but it's stupid" or "I really liked this song but this is really bad and is weird" like bro, maybe just sit and enjoy and stop looking for issues, it's a proven thing that most people don't enjoy songs properly until they've heard it multiple times at least as it takes us knowing the song to truly enjoy them.
This was my second most streamed album of 2023 and I even bought the vinyl
