Dark tans, women in g strings & drinking pitchers of beer for $3 under the pier. Going to LA on the weekends & clubs around OC. Everything was Metal 🤟🏼 , thought it would be like that forever 😢

That's awesome, I got to sign the wall with chalk then hair spray over it to keep it there for "Violent Faith" they never made it as big as skid row but they were great and had other jobs but Traci kurbusky was the singer, Dan Puckett on the drums(was my man) those were the days, it was a small place but had everyone's signature on the chalkboard walls, amazing.
I had more fun at TRACKS AND BOOKIES than Harpo's. We had nitrous keggers and strippers upstairs in the Detroit puppets apartment above the club. I helped build tracks They had a lot of good shows there. Also performed at bookies on several occasions. Hung out with Madame x and Phoenix the original lineup. For a couple months when they were hanging out at rockers
Harpo's Detroit, a very small venue with chalkboard walls and every band that plays there gets to sign their logo on the wall anywhere they want with colored chalk. Then the manager sprays over it with hairspray to lock it in. I signed for "Violent Faith" and anybody whose anybody HAS to play Harpo's. I seen dokken, Metallica, faith no more, type o negative, Slayer, Korn...
HARPOS RULES. Motorhead, Sevendust, Halloween, Dokken, Suicidal Tendencies, Winger/warrenton etc. Tons !!! Of Epic Metal shows. And Plenty of Sexy miniskirt & Stiletto wearing Babes. Played there 3 times and once @ the Ritz opening for King Diamond. Ohhhhh, the DAZE.
I noticed that Sebastian's speaking voice was "normal" sounding back then. Now it's a lot higher. He did an interview a few years ago and I was quite surprised at how high it was. Thoughts?
His dad probably used to beat his ass so severely for prancing around looking like Tina Turner that he didn't want to push his luck with the high voice shit too.
He's got a really high speaking voice. Back then, he just dropped it to sound more masculine. Later when he got famous, he didn't GAF and talked in his comfortable speaking voice.
as a singer myself, i truly think it has a lot to do with the specific way he sings so high + loud. ive noticed that when i sing his songs, i stay in the upper mix/head register a lot. and when i do that long enough & loud enough, even just for 30 minutes of singing, my normal speaking voice sounds so much higher when i go back to it. my lower register is basically impossible to access, and it stays that way for the rest of the day ! i think sebastian doing this for decades has made his voice permanently higher. its worth it tho in my opinion. a voice that good is bound to demand some sacrifices lol
