That comment jumped out at me, too, Fatima. It wasn't just his tone but the fact that he said it at all. Someone telling a lie that they are uncomfortable with may add unnecessary detail. Hoda Kotb was talking about Harry making the Queen laugh and asked "did you do it again?" Harry replied "yes" and then added "Meghan and I had tea with her....". It was an unnecessary detail, had no link whatsoever to making the Queen laugh, and coupled with his tone and body language, it sounded out of place and odd.
Doesn’t he realize he might get called out by the Palace staffers who were there? Or that HMTQueen or PCharles would frown upon his lying when they KNOW what happened in the meeting? How can Harry lie so blatantly? (allegedly). I’m saying that like Neil does!

As Harry is a compulsive liar, I believe the whole meetings were within 15 minutes. He was late to see Charles, and that meeting was decidedly 'frosty' and Camilla joined them, probably to calm Charles. Harry has a quick few minutes with Queenie, not with Methane either, (she was kept out of the way guarded by footman, bet it drove her crazy!!!) and didnt have tea. Bet the Queen gave him a few home truths, hence the 'slapped look' faces on them both at Invictus Games. Bet they were truly shocked being treated like that, as they deserved to be. . Both the Queen and Prince Charles had other meetings afterwards. There was nothing in the papers about what the Queen was doing but Prince Charles and Camilla were going to stand in for the Queen at the Maundy Day Service. Because Harry was late (probably deliberately thinking he would make his father dance to his tune) Prince Charles had to go and get changed for the service so Camilla had to spend time alone with Harry while Prince Charles did this. I've no doubt it was an extremely awkward few minutes.
M was not at the mtg. H was at the meeting with Her Majesty for 13.5 - 15 minutes meeting that was strictly business and there was no high tea served for him. It was in and out to go meet the love of his life who was, allegedly, in another room watched by four footmen. They walked out of there very quickly so I understand and left in a tinted windows car. During the InVictus games he was visibly upset and M was, apparently, trying to calm him down. I don't know I refused to watch any of the games. This to me sounds VERY PLAUSIBLE!

The impression Harry gave of his meeting with the Queen was pure fantasy. First, he gave the impression that Meghan was with him, but all reliable sources say she wasn't. Second, he made out it was a cosy chat but again, all the sources say that was far from the case: the Queen didn't have him in for a "chat", she had him in for a ticking-off. Yes, he looked down in the interview - and all the body language experts will tell you that's an indication of someone being untruthful. What's true? The Queen had Harry in to tell him something (possibly that he's no longer going to be a Counsellor of State?), Meghan didn't see the Queen (goodness knows, HMQ has suffered enough without having to see that practised smirk), and Harry didn't get what he wanted.

I agree - he was still in shock and his comments about USA now being his permanent home kinda leaked out. However, you'll notice that his voice trailed off as he was saying this because he was realising the implications of his words. This will mean he has to pay taxes in the USA so he quickly added "well for now" in the hope that it would reduce the sound of his commitment. The IRS will no doubt be after him as we speak as will the Immigration Department also.

It was a business meeting, and most people know that. HMTQ and Prince Charles have busy schedules, and have to actually work to create time for these things. They were "invited" (aka summoned) to the palace and were late (if what I've read is correct), thus cutting even more time from the meeting. Chances are, and this is just my opinion, he was told they are looking to remove him from the Counselor position, which, of course, would mean he has one less tie to the monarchy. I don't imagine he would be well pleased with that, even though it makes logical sense. It would go far to explain why he talked about the "right people" around his grandmother, and his "mum loves me more than Wills" dig.
If Meghan Markle was kept out of the meeting, I would be willing to bet that she made Harry's life miserable after! I think that it's awesome, because she is getting what she deserves! I’m watching from the United States and I can’t find one Harry or Meghan fan here. I seem to be the only person who can’t look away from this Shakespearean play slowly playing out in real time. At lunch, on walks, at dinner parties, whenever I ask if anyone has heard the latest, I’m always greeted with expressions of disbelief how two people had the perfect platform, as part of the royal family, and they’ve managed to turn every stroke of their good fortune into dust. Utterly baffling! Gone with the wind! Absolutely no support from here that I can see! Hardly anyone can believe I’m still paying attention! Even I can’t believe I’m still paying attention! This is just tragic watching these two bumbling their way through life. I sincerely hope they are enlightened soon with some self awareness. Even a shred would be helpful. Maybe Hollywood thinks they’re something?

Neil, I haven't watched NBC since 2011 but I did try to watch Harry's interview on CZcams. I kept having to replay it because Harry was fidgeting, looking down and mumbled several times making it difficult to understand exactly what he was saying. I still can't tell what he said but his mannerisms led me to believe that he was not being totally honest.
You need to watch this clip as presented by the Body Language Guy channel. It puts it all into context. As Neil has stated, it's evident Harry was extremely anxious. Confident people don't squirm and fidget about.

There wouldn’t be enough time for anything else especially with Harry needing to try to guilt granny into gifting him $5M to $6M a year for security when there is “no credible threat to his family’s safety”. I pray the palace staff will be compassionate enough to send copies of the kids’ pictures to Thomas Markle before he succumbs to his heart disease.
From all the commentaries I have read, I understoof that the Queen wanted to see him face to face to discuss matters with him, and this has been the situation for some months. She is not the sort of person to fire an employee over a zoom call, even if he is a family member. It's not her style. Harry has been too gutless to face her so I believe she summoned him to appear. Markle was not originally noted as attending the Invictus Games but when Harry gets the summons, she is suddenly coming with him. He needs back up, and after not getting what they wanted with Megzit, she probably doesn't trust his negotiating skills. Neither of them would have banked on her not being present at the Queen's meeting with Harry. The Queen must have meant business to have four courtiers keeping Markle company and making sure she didnt wander around inside the castle taking photos. I think he may have also been advised to re-edit his memoirs or shelve them, but he can't afford to do that. Does, Harry not realize what a, spectacle he is making of himself, to think a 38 year old person can be so jealous of a sibling is ludicrous. Its not as if he is turfed out on the street with no means to provide for himself. I blame his mother for a great part of it, as she said Charles should not be King, which would have put Harry closer to the throne until William's children came along. Hoda Kotb was talking about Harry making the Queen laugh and asked "did you do it again?" Harry replied "yes" and then added "Meghan and I had tea with her....". It was an unnecessary detail, had no link whatsoever to making the Queen laugh, and coupled with his tone and body language, it sounded out of place and odd.

As Harry is a compulsive liar, I believe the whole meetings were within 15 minutes. He was late to see Charles, and that meeting was decidedly 'frosty' and Camilla joined them, probably to calm Charles.

Both the Queen and Prince Charles had other meetings afterwards. There was nothing in the papers about what the Queen was doing but Prince Charles and Camilla were going to stand in for the Queen at the Maundy Day Service. Because Harry was late (probably deliberately thinking he would make his father dance to his tune) Prince Charles had to go and get changed for the service so Camilla had to spend time alone with Harry while Prince Charles did this. I've no doubt it was an extremely awkward few minutes.
M was not at the mtg. H was at the meeting with Her Majesty for 13.5 - 15 minutes meeting that was strictly business and there was no high tea served for him. It was in and out to go meet the love of his life who was, allegedly, in another room watched by four footmen. They walked out of there very quickly so I understand and left in a tinted windows car. During the InVictus games he was visibly upset and M was, apparently, trying to calm him down. I don't know I refused to watch any of the games. This to me sounds VERY PLAUSIBLE!

The impression Harry gave of his meeting with the Queen was pure fantasy. First, he gave the impression that Meghan was with him, but all reliable sources say she wasn't. Second, he made out it was a cosy chat but again, all the sources say that was far from the case: the Queen didn't have him in for a "chat", she had him in for a ticking-off. Yes, he looked down in the interview - and all the body language experts will tell you that's an indication of someone being untruthful.
What's true? The Queen had Harry in to tell him something (possibly that he's no longer going to be a Counsellor of State?), Meghan didn't see the Queen (goodness knows, HMQ has suffered enough without having to see that practised smirk), and Harry didn't get what he wanted.

When he said that the US was his home, I immediately thought that's he's been told that he's no longer a councilor of state. There were a lot of hidden messages in this interview I thought.
And another blunder, Heather. Harry's request for a judicial review regarding his security had his legal spokesman saying that "The UK will always be Prince Harry's home, and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in". However, as you say, when Hoda Kotb asked him if the US was his home he replied that it was, adding "and it feels that way as well". "Home" seems to be a location of convenience for Harry, depending on what he's after at the time.

However, you'll notice that his voice trailed off as he was saying this because he was realising the implications of his words. This will mean he has to pay taxes in the USA so he quickly added "well for now" in the hope that it would reduce the sound of his commitment. The IRS will no doubt be after him as we speak as will the Immigration Department also.

It was a business meeting, and most people know that. HMTQ and Prince Charles have busy schedules, and have to actually work to create time for these things. They were "invited" (aka summoned) to the palace and were late (if what I've read is correct), thus cutting even more time from the meeting. Chances are, and this is just my opinion, he was told they are looking to remove him from the Counselor position, which, of course, would mean he has one less tie to the monarchy. I don't imagine he would be well pleased with that, even though it makes logical sense. It would go far to explain why he talked about the "right people" around his grandmother, and his "mum loves me more than Wills" dig.

I’m watching from the United States and I can’t find one Harry or Meghan fan here. I seem to be the only person who can’t look away from this Shakespearean play slowly playing out in real time. At lunch, on walks, at dinner parties, whenever I ask if anyone has heard the latest, I’m always greeted with expressions of disbelief how two people had the perfect platform, as part of the royal family, and they’ve managed to turn every stroke of their good fortune into dust. Utterly baffling! Gone with the wind! Absolutely no support from here that I can see! Hardly anyone can believe I’m still paying attention! Even I can’t believe I’m still paying attention! This is just tragic watching these two bumbling their way through life. I sincerely hope they are enlightened soon with some self awareness. Even a shred would be helpful.

Neil, I haven't watched NBC since 2011 but I did try to watch Harry's interview on CZcams. I kept having to replay it because Harry was fidgeting, looking down and mumbled several times making it difficult to understand exactly what he was saying. I still can't tell what he said but his mannerisms led me to believe that he was not being totally honest.
You need to watch this clip as presented by the Body Language Guy channel. It puts it all into context. As Neil has stated, it's evident Harry was extremely anxious. Confident people don't squirm and fidget about.

Hope the Palace press office rebuts Harry's story, especially about needing a mediator to work things out between William and him. A mediation is where both parties walk away with something positive for both of them. Since William has not said the first word against his brother, there is NO win for him. There wouldn’t be enough time for anything else especially with Harry needing to try to guilt granny into gifting him $5M to $6M a year for security when there is “no credible threat to his family’s safety”. I pray the palace staff will be compassionate enough to send copies of the kids’ pictures to Thomas Markle before he succumbs to his heart disease.

From all the commentaries I have read, I understoof that the Queen wanted to see him face to face to discuss matters with him, and this has been the situation for some months. She is not the sort of person to fire an employee over a zoom call, even if he is a family member. It's not her style. Harry has been too gutless to face her so I believe she summoned him to appear. Markle was not originally noted as attending the Invictus Games but when Harry gets the summons, she is suddenly coming with him. He needs back up, and after not getting what they wanted with Megzit, she probably doesn't trust his negotiating skills. Neither of them would have banked on her not being present at the Queen's meeting with Harry. The Queen must have meant business to have four courtiers keeping Markle company and making sure she didnt wander around inside the castle taking photos. I think he may have also been advised to re-edit his memoirs or shelve them, but he can't afford to do that. Does, Harry not realize what a, spectacle he is making of himself, to think a 38 year old person can be so jealous of a sibling is ludicrous. Its not as if he is turfed out on the street with no means to provide for himself. I blame his mother for a great part of it, as she said Charles should not be King, which would have put Harry closer to the throne until William's children came along. Until Angela, Kelly reveals that the Queen had a lovely chat over a cuppa with her grandson I cannot believe a word the boy /man says. I have always felt that once the Jubilee Celebrations are over, then the proverbial axe will fall.

No doubt, the Queen asked him pointed questions about his residency although she already knew the answers. PH told the world in an interview with his set of talking points contrived by the TW to spin, lie, and deceive the world regarding his very broken relationship with the Queen. With his own mouth he confessed the US is "home." He has been removed or is being removed as Counsellor. There is no place for him and TW at the Jubilee. And I fully expect he will be stripped of titles, and removed from the line of succession. In good time... and well timed. He has already removed himself. And his loyalties.

I've only heard it was a 15 minute allotted time business meeting with the Queen. And Harry demanded a visit with Charles, and Harry left Charles waiting some time. A very offensive move on Harry's part. That meeting was about 15 minutes.
